  1. You’ll probably get bumped for inactivity. It seems even autorunning into a wall does that now.
  2. Probably comes down to work systems. I’ve read the early swtor devs didn’t leave many notes on the code or what they did. Where as the guys at SE had systems in place to log code. They also rewrote a tonne of it for ARB as they were still running the original before the reboot.
  3. Someone asked if they do that and I was responding to it. Please consider your responses to my posts by looking at the context and previous post and not wildly accusing me of something I wasn’t doing.
  4. Did you post it as a bug report in game of make a thread in the bugs section? I couldn’t find it if it’s a bug thread because I looked before making mine. BioWare definitely need to place a warning in the game if they aren’t going to change anything. Especially if you’ve played for years with no problems and this is now causing problems for some players. How else are you supposed to know until you get the first symptoms. My friend and I didn’t know until she played once and got a two day migraine that required 2 stemetil injections to stop throwing up her other medication that helps with migraines. How many others have to suffer and not realised it was the game that’s triggering it for them?
  5. I started a bug report thread on this because it seems BioWare are ignoring the general forums. If you have any feed back to add to that thread as to what part of the UI is hurting your eyes or giving you migraines or headaches, please add to that thread. Hopefully someone will respond there. https://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=1002925
  6. I made a bug report https://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=1002925 With the hope that maybe that would get BioWares attention because it seems like nothing we post in the general section is working. JackieKo would usually have replied to us here by now. It’s not like she doesn’t usually show empathy to players. So I’m starting to assume she’s under orders from management to give no official response on this topic. I can’t really fathom why they would do that unless they are trying to protect themselves from legal action. Which I know seems a long shot. But why else respond to so many other things and let 4-5 threads of people complaining about migraines and headaches keep going for over a week with no response. It’s even been reported in the gaming media and on Reddit and Twitter. It’s not logical from a customer service or community management point of view to let this continue with no BioWare responses. The only reason that makes sense is she’s been told not to reply and I can’t for the life of me think of any reason for that except liability.
  7. I know you shouldn’t have to, but maybe stop playing till they fix it. That’s what my friend has done and what I’m going to do too. Unfortunately we have to unsubscribe because BioWare still won’t even acknowledge this is a problem, let alone fix it. The lack of communication on this subject is atrocious. I even made a bug report hoping that someone from BioWare would read and respond to that. But still AFK from them. https://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=1002925 I’m starting to wonder if JackieKo by has been told by upper management to ignore the topic because usually she would have responded to something like this now. Which stinks of a cover up.
  8. I made this post elsewhere too to try and get as much info listed. Maybe BioWare can consolidate all these threads? It might help BioWare if we try to explain what parts of the UI are causing the physical problems for people. Not wether we like the design aesthetically or it’s functions. If we could get a list of the things in the UI causing the problems from everyone, then I or someone else can make a condensed list of the problems we think are causing the physical effects for some of us. My personal problems are with the Font type change through most of the game. Which goes beyond the other UI changes. I can no longer read my characters class type on the login screen. I’ve also had to increase the size of the txt in the chat from 14 to 16. In other parts of UI I can’t read descriptions of items and abilities clearly anymore. The inventory squares being highlighted when empty and the black spaces between leaves a ghosting image on my vision even after I’ve closed the inventory and cargo screens.

  11. This may or may not be a bug, but it was reported as a design problem during the PTS testing and has made it live. So I don’t know if it’s a bug or where else to report it to get you guys to listen and reply to the community. There are now 4 or 5 threads in the general forums and hundreds of posts informing you guys that the new UI design is causing migraines, eye strain and headaches for some players. This is even being reported by the gaming media too and on other social media platforms. Can we please get an official from BioWare to look at the other threads in the general section and read the legitimate feedback and concerns as to what and how the UI is affecting peoples ability to actually play the game and in some cases have had to stop because it is physically harming them. It might also be great if JackieKo can talk to the community about this topic and calm it down because we have troll posters purposely gas lighting others who are suffering from these physical affects to their health. This isn’t about wether people like the design of the new UI, it’s about the physical affects it’s having on players. Some response from BioWare that you are looking into this would certainly be appreciated as it feels like you don’t care at the moment that some of your players are in physical distress or have had to completely stop playing the game they have paid for.
  12. People bring it up sometimes because the threat alone is enough to make some legal departments make their companies take **** seriously.
  13. Yes, for demanding one or getting your credit card company to do a charge back if EA says no. It’s well documented that EA close all your accounts to any game or account linked to a charge back or refund demand. That could include other EA games you’re currently playing too.
  14. Why not just call it weekly part 1, then weekly part 2 and so on. It would be less confusing to players.
  15. Or at worst say they aren’t going to fix it and offer refunds to players who can’t play because of the changes.
  16. FFXIV’s free to play goes live again today.
  17. No one wants to start a class action. We just want to be able to play the game.
  18. Let me answer quiet simply. There was no warning or expectation that a game she plays daily would all of a sudden start causing her migraines after the update. So she played for a few hours, her eyes hurt and she got a headache that kept getting worse. She logged off and a few hours later had full blown migraine that lasted 2 days, 1 tablet ($40) and 2 injections to stop her throwing up from the pain and 2 unpaid days off work Now at first we didn’t put 2 and 2 together that it was the game because she has a migraine history, but never from playing swtor. It wasn’t until I started getting headaches from playing that I started to suspect. She tried playing the game again for 10 mins to see how her eyes felt. Soon after she started to get a headache and logged off. Then another Migraine started, but thankfully her medication was enough to control it that time. It’s obvious that the UI changes are to blame. I myself have poor eyes and wear glasses. I can’t even read some of the stuff in the game anymore since the font was changed in the expansion. My eyes are constantly straining to see and it gives me a headache. So I’ve not been logging in or playing because of it. There are obviously other players like my friend and myself who can no longer play the game because of these changes. But we’ve prepaid subscriptions and some have paid for cartel coins or have 1000’s of hours and money invested in this game that we can no longer play. But if I or anyone else asks BioWare for a refund, they will lock us out of every EA account linked to that email or account. And we lose any further access to this game even if BioWare fixes the UI. The problem is BioWare are AFK on this problem and aren’t even responding to players concerns. That is really giving us the *********** ***** because we paid to play a game that we can’t. And it seems like we have no recourse to get our money back without repercussions from EA. At the same time BioWare are ignoring the problem and hopes it and us go away. Tell me, how fair do you think it is that we paid and can’t play. How would you feel if BioWare took your money for 6 month sub and then turned off the servers. That’s basically the situation some of us are in.
  19. And a warning in the game for others with health issues who may not realise the changed UI might affect them.
  20. I’ve seen people launch class actions for less. And it’s not just it hurts my eyes. It’s people having day(s) long migraines after playing the game since the changes. I know of one person who was bed ridden with a migraine for two days and had to take time off work. Plus the medicine required to alleviate it is $40 a tablet. I’ve read reports and heard anecdotal evidence that she’s not alone with similar symptoms being reported on other social media too. Unless you suffer from this problem yourself, you really can’t say how painful or serious it is. Writing it off as sore eyes and a headache is insulting to those suffering and doesn’t even come close to representing the physical harm it’s doing.
  21. I can see a class action happening in the US if they don’t. People are actually being physically affected by this. Of course you can choose not to play. But is BioWare going to refund everyone who can’t play now, but could before and reimburse other costs like medications, time off work, possible accidents or seizures. Of course they won’t. They will say it’s your choice wether to play. But this choice was taken from some people when they introduced these changes. They also haven’t added a warning that these changes maybe harmful to some peoples health. So anyone who has been harmed by the changes, incurred costs because of the changes or has paid for a subscription or cartel coins and can’t play now, should be reimbursed by BioWare with no repercussions when asking for refunds. BioWare has an onus to provide a safe environment to game or at least warn users, neither of which has happened.
  22. And BioWare could start this process by at least acknowledging it. Their absolute disregard and silence for this topic and problem is what’s going to harm the game in the long run. More and more people leave and tell others not to play. Even public media is reporting this UI problem is hurting players. And where is BioWare? AFK somewhere with their heads in the sand hoping it will go away.
  23. This is typical BioWare when the **** hits the fan, they hide.
  24. Many dislike it as much as everyone else. We should just let this thread die. Every time I see it at the top above the legitimate complaint threads, I feel like BioWare is paying someone to keep it active.
  25. At the same time remove subscribers from the game to control employee salaries
