moderation, my friend. the game is fun, yes, but having to do the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over just to get somewhere, to the point that it is indeed a second job (that you aren't getting paid for, in fact YOU'RE paying for it) then it loses the sense of fun it's like playing a song you like over and over. and not just for an hour or so, I mean an entire day, maybe even multiple days, listening to the same song over and over and over without pause. I don't care how much you like the song, you WILL be sick of it by then

the first 3 posts alone told me that OP is either "literally work your *** off for reward" or "give me free ****", and that the idea of a sensible middle ground will break his brain

Combat is getting buffed to be on par with Watchman while not consorting to easy mode focus so I don't have to feel bad using the "easy" spec and as a whole sentinel will still be an "advanced" class compared to lightning and missile spam for these reasons alone patch 1.2 will be the most amazing patch ever. everything else included is just an awesome bonus

the combat buffs are nice, but it's not quite enough to "bring it up to par" with watchman... as for watchman and focus changes, I don't know. I didn't even read them. I refuse to use any spec other than combat

Any recent developments on this? It's awfully difficult to play a Jedi that adheres strongly to the Jedi code but feels very confused not only about her feelings themselves, but the fact they are toward another female when I don't have an option for such choices...

tl;dr: OP went overboard with mods in WoW, now he can't handle a vanilla game that doesn't support any mods

This game's community is really starting to sadden me. I was just in a warzone with a pompous douchebag that felt necessary to shout in general every single time he got Unbeatable, Invincible, and Immortal. Big deal, he just has no humility is all. Well come near the end of the game, the imps have left and right turrets and we have mid. just prior to this, I was the only one defending the left turret when I got swarmed by 4 stealthers. I was dead before I even had time to call an incoming. so I mention left is lost, hit right, and as I get off my speeder I see the last person defending the middle die, and someone is capping the turret. so I suicide run in and throw a droid leg at him, which stops the cap just short of finishing. shortly after, I die of course, but not before more of my teammates arrive for backup. as I'm getting on the speeder again, the guy from earlier says in general "(his name) is Immortal!" so I respond with "cool story bro. by the way we almost lost mid" mostly as a joke, because we were already far enough ahead to win with 1 turret (he and a couple others had just regained the left turret). he decides to say "I just got left turret back, retard." really? I mean, really? no, it's not what he said that gets me, I'm clearly not mentally challenged or else I probably wouldn't be able to know how to properly use a computer. no, it's simply the fact that he felt the need to insult me just because I said we almost lost mid after he decided to gloat again. and this is when we were WINNING are we seriously already descending into the kind of community you find in games like WoW? where you're apparently the best player, you deserve absolute praise from every single person you come in contact with, and anyone that even slightly condescends you is whatever random insults you can think at the time? can't we have some class in this game? show some respect for your fellow players! fight the type of people that can't grasp the concept of kind words and constructive criticism! tl;dr: don't let this game's community go to ****. show some kindness and respect every once in a while

There is no denying Combat has many flaws and bugs that need to be fixed. Trying to do so is like trying to deny that the sun rises every day This is coming from a guy that flat out refuses to even try Focus or Watchman

It's not the maintenance itself that is pissing people off, it's the fact that it came with no warning at all, there's STILL no update other than the dev tracker, it came with no warning at all, the dev tracker isn't even telling us WHY the servers are going down, it came with no warning at all, and it's primetime for EU players and mid-day for East Coast and Central players. I, personally, can wait the 2 hours no problem, but it still irks me a little that the restart came without any notice from the devs, and that they won't tell us what's so important that it takes 2 hours in the middle of the day to fix it tl;dr: it's not the maintenance itself, it's the lack of information on the maintenance and no, I couldn't just put this in "that other topic". it's moving far too fast for most people to see this

this would be an appropriate response if: 1. This was actually the scheduled downtime 2. This was actually some time late at night, when normal people are asleep However, because this is unscheduled maintenance, AND prime time for a large majority of players, your sarcastic response is completely unnecessary

It would be really nice to know what they're trying to fix that takes 2 freaking hours of downtime...

Not ITT: Negative things about ToR Bonus Drinking game: every time someone posts something negative anyway, or that they can't think of anything positive, take a drink. You'll be piss drunk before the 2nd page Space Combat, although simple, is entertaining and a good time sink if you ever need some quick credits or experience. Very reminiscent of Star Fox. Can't wait to see how they expand it

I believe I was 30 on my first sentinel and 22 on my assassin before I figured out you can have a single companion craft up to 5 items at a time...

I do not see all 8 classes at level 50 I only see 4 classes at level 50 twice each still got rep side to do bro

different opinions are different I, for one, love the way the crystals look and find it painful that it will be very unlikely that I'll save enough credits up for just one before patch 1.2 on my sentinel, let alone 2

I just have a thing for the underdog. it's why my main is a sentinel in the first place. it's why I can't bring myself to play my BH or Trooper. it's why I refused to be a sorcerer on my inquisitor. it's why I refuse to be anything but heals on my Sage (which I also have trouble playing) etc. etc. I have too much of a hard on for Combat until it actually becomes equal or surpasses Watchman to ever try anything else

ops are fun to kill especially the ones that take cover too close to a wall then their knockback root becomes useless edit: or am I thinking of snipers...either way they're the same entertaining kill for my sentinel

I was in an Alderaan match a little while ago with a particular BH that literally did nothing but TM I see the TM cast bar, I use Force Kick, she doesn't do anything, not even move, not even using her basic attack, until she can use TM again. I interrupt again when FK is off cd. She just stands there again. Then she dies I run into later a little later. the exact same thing happens It happened I believe 2 more times before the Imp ship went down...it was very entertaining
