  1. OP, sounds very similar to a situation I was in a couple days ago... oh, except I'm a guy. I just prefer to play female characters. I don't expect any special treatment, if I have the ball with very little health and am inches away from the goal, I expect you to stun the **** out of me and steal it will it piss me off to no end? most certainly, but that's the way the game is played
  2. It's kinda sad that I and only one other Trooper (I didn't catch his name, on the off chance you're reading this, good job) were able to hold off at least half their team while everyone else on our team just poked around at the other blast door, not even paying attention to my screams for help that they had plenty of time to answer... ah well, I've come to accept that Republic is just like the Alliance in WoW, in that it will never win pvp simply because it believes every warzone is "lol gt most killz!!1"
  3. There are TWO paths you can go through on Voidstar. Focusing on one of them, especially while on defense, is a quick and easy path to defeat That is all
  4. on the other side, us twi'leks don't get any hoods at all
  5. beat him at 23. it's simply a matter of proper skill management I went at him at 22, spamming everything when it came off cooldown, and got slaughtered each time at 23, I took a look at my skills and planned out what I was going to do and when. I sent Kira in, with Blade Ward active, and let her take the first hit. once Valis started casting Lightning Strike, I used Force Leap, which interrupted this and saved Kira some health. I then positioned myself between him and his ship. Open with Zealous Strike, Cauterize, and Blade Storm, followed by alternating between Strike and Slash as necessary. Once he used Energy Blast, my positioning allowed me to interrupt it almost immediately, and then repeat the above. Right after he uses Energy Blast his the best time I've found to use Master Strike, since it gives you the most time to make full use of it, instead of running the risk of having to cut it prematurely to interrupt something. After this, positioning wasn't as big a deal, as Force Leap was off its cooldown. Force Kick is now saved for Lightning Strike, while Force Leap is used on Energy Blast tl;dr: keep Cauterize up, Zealous Strike as soon as it's off cooldown, interrupt Energy Blast and Lightning Strike, use Master Strike right after interrupting Energy Blast
  6. Here I sit, a Combat Sentinel, trying again and again to kill Valis, and failing each time...after a little research I've seen how difficult sentinels have it, but I'm not going to ***** and moan about a broken class. Fellow sentinels, what tips can you offer? How can I beat this son of a ***** and continue my story? And interrupting that one attack he does doesn't really work out that well...I still take an unbelievably large amount of damage from just the knockback
  7. Unfortunately I started on a crappy server in just about every aspect, but I'm too far along with my poor sentinel to just reroll somewhere else... I really hope BW implements a server transfer system soon
  8. Having trouble with the "The Defector" Jedi Knight story quest...so I join up with someone else who also seems to be having trouble so we can take care of this quest quickly. So we kill Valis, and head back outside the story area, where as soon as the guy I helped leaves, he drops party and hops on his ship, leaving me to deal with my own quest myself Feels bad, man...
  9. I ended up going with Sanctum of the Exalted, and made a Sith Inquistor (Corruption Sorceror) I haven't really gotten into any RP, but just from the quest choices I've been given I already like the sort of character being developed. If anyone on SotE comes across a Xhaltavia, feel free to flag me down
  10. I'm looking to get into RP, but from many experiences from WoW there are very few servers that are actually good for it Which server would I be best off joining? Also, another semi-related question, I'm interested in playing a "light-side sith". I've never been able to bring myself to play a truly evil character, the best I can do is probably chaotic neutral. My question is, from an RP perspective, would I be looked down on for this, and from a gameplay perspective, would this be detrimental in any way, other than the inability to use red color crystals(which I don't care for)?
  11. I find it VERY hard to believe that I, a level 13 Sentinel, was beating people up to level 47... or am I just that good? /ego stroke
