  1. Known or not, I still love it. Just like I love Tali's "Go for the optics, Chiktikka!"
  2. http://i312.photobucket.com/albums/ll354/Doghealerthr/LetTheWookieeWin.png I love you, Bioware.
  3. Very simple: I want a button which, when clicked, targets whoever is currently carrying the ball (regardless of whether it's an enemy or ally). That's it. You don't even need to add a new UI element. You could turn the scoreboard into this button and I'd be happy.
  4. Dear Bioware, I applaud you for making 2V-R8 finally shut up. +1 awesome point for that. But that doesn't mean you should make another bigger problem! -5 awesome points. MAKE THE WARGAME DROID SHUT UP!
  5. TL;DR: Post your current level and the total xp you need to level up. So, because I'm a math geek and an aspiring game developer, I make it a point to understand the inner working of video games I really like. This includes the small things many others take for granted, such as the relationship between the level of a character and the amount of xp he needs to gain one. So, I need your help, SWTOR community! This should take less than a minute if you're already logged in to the game. (Of course, you won't be much help if you're already level 50.) I need to know your CURRENT level as well as the total xp you would need to level up. That's it! Just hover over your xp bar, and you'll see both how much xp you have, and how much you need; I'm only concerned with that second number. For example, I'm level 42, and have 6588/342590 xp. So, I would post "Level 42, 342590 xp".
  6. You're reading too far into it. I don't remember any patch since I started playing having any significant effect on me, yet I accepted them as necessary and important changes. Lemme make this totally clear: I. AM. NOT. THE. CENTER. OF. THE. WORLD. Happy?
  7. Hold on, this was the change? I withdraw my original argument. Patch well-deployed. +10 awesome points for Bioware: +5 to refund my original -5, and +5 for crisis averted.
  8. Never said it was all about me. I fully support things intended to make the community grow. I just don't think it should be at the expense of the people already here. Also, at the haters: I'm not crying as much as you think I was. If I had caps lock on, then maybe your complaints would be a little more justified.
  9. Did I complain about going blind, having my heart stop, or being dead? No. I fail to see why you brought it up. It's just business practice 101: Never kick your loyal and paying customers in the pants in order to impress non-loyal and non-paying customers.
  10. Evidently, I was mistaken in the applied change, and my argument below has been rendered moot. I withdraw it, though keep it documented below for reference. Wait. Wait. Wait. So you're telling me... That we had a two-hour maintenance in the middle of the day... During Spring Break... To apply a patch... That concerned people... That haven't even bought the damn game yet? Bioware, I am disappoint. -5 awesome points. Granted, you still have a few thousand in your favor, but every one counts...
  11. At 12:45:46 PM on Jedi Covenant, a 15 minute shut down warning was issued. Wait, why?
  12. As I've stated before, Bioware has done an exemplary job of injecting true story into an MMO; a feat that I believe is a real first. That said, there's one thing that continues to bother me every third or so quest. NPCs that don't speak English. Things just click better in my mind when I hear and read the words. And, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the point of voice acting...avoiding reading walls of text? I see kind of why it was done. When you have this diverse a race pool, some of them are inevitably not going to know English. But this is a flawed assumption. My character always responds in English, and they seem to understand. So why can't they speak it? I believe the best option is to add an auto-translator doodad that all characters innately own. This doodad will translate, in a text-to-speech voice, any non-English speech made during conversations. This way, Bioware doesn't need to do any extra voice acting, and it makes a little more sense; such a translator, in the hands of both parties, allows both to speak their native language and be understood without the other truly understanding the language itself.
  13. Wow. I think you guys just restored my faith in humanity, even if only a little. (Sure as heck beats none.) I was half expecting to be laughed at and shunned for the concept of taking a game so close to heart. Yet the majority of you seem to agree with me. You guys rock. You guys at Bioware rock even more. Story in an MMO can exist, and you guys have done it right.
  14. This post contains possible spoilers: you have been warned. I've recently run into a introspective moment for myself...and it was caused entirely by Bioware's latest work of art: SWTOR. Perhaps "entirely" isn't the best word. I've heard of such a thing happen before on a web show called Extra Credits, a show devoted to critical analysis of video games as a whole. One particular episode spoke of a similar occurrence that happened with the show's writer during Mass Effect 2 (Also conveniently made by Bioware; you guys rock). In their words, "A video game asked him a question he couldn't answer." And no, it's not a stupid "test-like" question like "What is the capital of Massachusetts?", it was a question of "Here's the situation, what do you do?" It's kind of a spoiler alert, and I'd rather not quote the entire episode, so if you want to watch it, I've already given you the link. Back to my point, I recently hit a similar point in this very game. I thought about this. What in the world have I done...? My mind became locked in a state of conflict. Heck, it still is in that state. I began to question my morals. I began to question what it meant to be good and what it meant to be evil. I thought. And I thought some more. "You are now away from keyboard." I didn't notice. I still thought. A mob came and attacked me. Almost on autopilot, I killed it, then fast-traveled back to a place where I wouldn't be bothered by mobs any more. Then I thought. And I thought. Then I posted this. And I'm still thinking. TL;DR: Bioware...I love you.
