  1. yet another person that somehow misses the end of my post I like that you assume I'm a sorc just because I said I'm an inquisitor
  2. nice job completely ignoring the end of my post bro while we're on the subject of totally awesome players, how about those pros that fall for people training them off the blast doors while people stealth around them and plant the bombs on Voidstar? MAN I hope I can be as good as them some day...
  3. a good plan, except I'm an inquistor
  4. You have the ball, and are being attacked by a large group of enemies. You're on the ramp just before reaching the goal, and there is a friendly standing on the goal line with no one bothering them. You obviously aren't going to make it, your health is dropping way too fast for that. What do you do? If you answered "pass the ball to my teammate and flip a giant bird at the enemies surrounding me just as I fall", you are obviously much better at this game than the majority of people I end up being grouped with and before anyone says it: no, it's not a problem with CC. I can clearly see the ball carrier moving toward the goal as if he wasn't even aware he was being attacked. I swear one time I saw a giant bubble saying "HERPADERPADURR" once before I turned toward my wall and beat my head into it...
  5. the real question is why did they launch with so many damn servers in the first place?
  6. reason 1: I like women. I don't like men reason 2: I have autogynephilia
  7. this I'm begging for a server transfer system so I can get my Sentinel off Khoonda Militia...
  8. while I don't agree with us getting a lot of force abilities (force = magic, magic = consular) I do agree with something basic, like a push or pull. the whole "since sentinels have a weapon in both hands there isn't a free one to use such an ability" idea is total ********
  9. biochem for now is considered the "best" crew skill, but it will definitely be getting the nerf bat soon as far as actual gear is concerned, Artifice is a great choice. it supplies your hilts, color crystals, and enhancements for your lightsabers, as well as foci and generators for Kira/T7 if you already have a supply for these, your next choice is probably Synthweaving, for your armor Sentinels are pretty gear-dependent, so a profession that provides that gear for you is very useful. of course, since you say you're using it for pvp (lol republic class in pvp) you'll probably want biochem anyway once you hit 50, assuming the eventual nerf doesn't make it completely useless
  10. they're exactly what they say they are for to sell they have absolutely no other use than to give you a few extra credits
  11. top 3 from most to least tolerable are: 3. a random assortment of letters and numbers 2. a glaringly obvious reference to an already existing character/theme/idea/etc. that shows absolutely no shred of originality. bonus(negative?) points for REALLY stupid ones that don't even fit with the lore, or at the very least the type of character (I'm looking at YOU, jedi consular named Sefirroth...) 1. insults/racial slurs
  12. why they decided not to have Togruta be playable from the beginning is beyond me...
  13. you could always dismiss her when you come to a dark side choice you want be she doesn't like but I guess that's meta-gaming the roleplay a bit...
  14. "I didn't enjoy warcraft so I'm going to throw out random insults that other people aren't allowed to enjoy it since I didn't, and my points are proven by the fact that despite the cataclysm expansion falling through and costing blizzard many subscribers it still has a large number more than the next successful MMO" really, you're just arguing for the sake of arguing at this point
  15. were you fighting an operative? they have a ******** ability that makes them immune to interrupts for a bit when they go undercover
  16. Sentinel: adheres strongly, but not wholly, to the jedi code, has a bit of an ego but not so much that it controls her personality. always trying to do right by everyone, but her hatred of the empire sometimes blinds her from it Gunslinger: a pirate of sorts with a heart of gold. mostly goes her own way, ignoring laws, but is still a good person and helps anyone that needs it...for the right price. also homosexual, and a bit of a lech Powertech: a real run of the mill bounty hunter, always in it if money is being offered, and does her work cleanly and efficiently. her one weakness is anyone hurt by the war, especially orphans Assassin: a slave turned sith, she hates almost the entire order, especially her overseer, but hardly shows it, with a long streak of sarcasm pissing him and his (now dead) pet off during her time at the academy. unlike most sith, she has a habit of doing "good", and gets her power through positive emotions. regardless, she is strongly loyal to her surperiors...as long as they see her as sith, not slave Juggernaut: like the assassin, the juggernaut gets her power through positive emotions, and has a long streak of good deeds as well. many question her loyalty to the sith and the empire, as she is not afraid to show her kindness and disdain for torture and killing. despite what others think however, she is loyal, and works hard to protect her allies, no matter how different their views may be from hers
  17. sorry to hear you only played during wrath and/or post-nerf cataclysm practicing at something a lot does make one better at it, but sometimes it just isn't enough. going back to my fighting game example, as I said I play them quite a bit. Soul Calibur, Street Fighter, Marvel VS Capcom, and I just recently got BlazBlue Continuum Shift Extend. Sure, I can take on low level computers pretty easily, but no matter how much I practice the only real people I can ever beat are my friends who are even worse at fighters than me. The only game I can honestly say I'm really good at is super smash brothers, and that's only because it isn't a fighter in the traditional sense, with input commands and everything
  18. just running around doing my class quests I see a fair bit of RP here and there on Lord Adraas. and not just on the faction fleets, but even out there on different planets, just in the middle of nowhere sometimes
  19. to all you people saying "just use your gap closers", how many of you play smugglers or imperial agents? you know, the classes with those energy shields that make charges impossible? yeah
  20. I leveled all the way to 50 as a sith assassin, but I want to change to a sorcerer and start healing. I've never healed before in any game prior, nor have I ever touched a sorcerer in this game, and all my gear is built to be a Deception Assassin. Will you let me in your raid? yeah, no
  21. you still get rested exp no matter where you log out, but unless you're in a rested area like a cantina the rested exp gain is incredibly slow. like, a few days in a non-rested area will you get you rested exp equivalent to...probably barely even a few hours in a rested area
  22. I guess I'm mistaken that people don't enjoy playing something they can't succeed at and either have to get help on everything, or just get stuck on the same part forever... I'm not trying to say you shouldn't play something you aren't good at. Far from it in fact. All I'm saying is if you can't get past Valis no matter how hard you try, the jedi knight just might not be for you. sure you can get help and move on, but you're just going to have even more trouble with later bosses, and getting help on quests that are meant to be done alone isn't going to do you much good in quests that are meant to be done in groups I realize I'm sounding a little elitist, but I'm not trying to be. back when I played WoW, I was a strong advocate for people that did content a little undergeared if you know what you're doing, amidst the large group that would never let people join something unless they were in full gear of equal level to the content they were wanting to do. but it only went to an extent. no matter how good you were at the game, trying to run end-game heroic raids in full greens is suicidal it's the same here. take the challenge, try to learn the class, be good at it, show everyone that "requiring effort" and "broken" are two completely different things. but there are some people who just. can't. handle it.
  23. that's exactly what I'm saying. Valis is a very tough fight unless you know what you're doing, and some people just can't handle the difficulty of the jedi knight. it's just like anything else someone isn't good at. I play fighting games A LOT. but I am horrible at them. I can't even scratch anyone in the lowest bracket when I play online. some people just aren't good at the jedi knight I'm not trying to discourage people from playing the class, but that's just how it is
