Iv been giving GW2 another shot, hell I even bought the xpac for it the other day, and even though star wars is by far my favorite fantasy realm ever created this game has turned to straight garbage (although the original class quest are still worth a play though, iv just done all the ones I care to) and ill tell you what, I havnt regretted my move to GW2 in the least bit, its amazing when you move to another real MMO you REALLY notice all the things this game is missing, it makes it seem way worst then it did before I left. I just cant believe how bad EA/BW has tanked this game, I mean come on, you have the Star Wars IP you couldn't have been handed a easier game to make money with, hell even if it was a half ***** MMO id throw money at it, but for this crap, not thx.

aggroed the entire zone? how the mobs don't move, they stand in 1 spot waiting for you to attack them, no I am not kidding, you shouldn't die lving up in this game, before 4.0 it had some challenge, you could die to a gold mob if you didn't pay attention, after 4.0 you can pull a couple golds, couple silvers, and a few normal mobs and hardly have to work to win the fight, its a joke now, so much so that I was using this game to get to sleep instead of my sleep aids, its a snooze fest.... now pvp that's a different story, the people that are pvping in this game have been doing it for so long that its a steep learning curve with very little forgiveness, BUT its soo easy to earn the pvp gear that you can be in the top tier gear, fully optimized in under 2weeks.

While is sucks that you and your son didn't have a good experience with the game, I can assure you this game has been dumbed down so far that's its loosing its player base, its beyond easy now. And the 2 companions from pvp, well it really dosnt matter if you get those or not, all companions are the same. I joke you not when I say that my 4y old son made a sentinel on my account to mess around (I read and let him play on my lap) he made it to lv30ish before I canceled my sub, he didn't die a single time, and he was only using 2 attacks, just turn your companions on heal mode and face roll everything with the basic attack, worked for him.

I think you are the one confused, they took the game from 8 separate stories (with voice acted light and dark side choices) and multiple customized companions with their own separate and unique stories (some with light and dark side choices) and changed it to 1 story (for both empire and repub) made all companions the same, with zero stories and no customization (no playing Barbie dress up isn't customization) and removed the voice acting. That isn't even going into the end game MMO part of the game, they did NOTHING here, its the same stuff, then on top of all that have you seen how little customer service there is? people cant get answers for weeks and then when they do its terrible...and the bugs/crashes/rollbacks/exploits/events not working (and they are not new events, you are braking old stuff). All this screams of cost cutting, staff getting let go and the game hitting cruise mode....not good

I very much doubt this current star wars game would be profitable if another one where released, you can tell already that they are having to cut costs majorly and that's with zero star wars MMO competition, even if it lost only half its player base it would still be toast (id bet it would loose more then that).

I don't get to see it until Sunday at Noon, all other times in my area sold out on the first day of sales, dosnt help that I live in a small area with only one good theater. But as far as being excited, I havnt been this pumped since my son was born.

game is better this way???? are you blind? this game is dying plain and simple, have you looked at the forums? the population? the reviews of the xpac? If you want this game to be around longer then the next year then you better be hoping for a swift change because this game is straight up crap atm, the ONLY THING this game has going for it atm is its name, and a few fancy cut scenes that you can watch on youtube for free.

Take a look at the covert ops helmet, should be on gtn for around 500k, kinda has the look I think you are going for, I use it dyed black and it looks great.

I took a long break (when I left Galactic star fighter was just going to come out, lv 55 was max lv) came back in Sept, had a blast playing though hutt cartel and shadow of reven....... then the new xpac hit, all down hill from there, the new xpac killed the game imho, its not even much of a MMO anymore, just a single player game with a sub and they trickle feed content to keep subbed because the game has zero depth, combat is laughable (not joking my 4y old son made a toon, he was in the mid 30's and still hadn't died 1 time) and they have completely abandoned end game content. My sub is canceled and I would not recommend it to anyone, at this point I don't even know if its fixable without a HUGE cash investment and I really doubt EA will do it with the age of the game and its current popularity.

same thing happened to me, I used the lv60 chr token that I got for being a sub on a assassin, didn't even lv him out of the dream part of the new xpac (he is lv61), got the legacy buff, legacy unlocks and at chr select that class type was listed as complete just as if I lved him (as it should be, the token states ALL PREVIOUS CONTENT AND EXPANSTIONS WILL BE COMPLETED). So, me being the type of player that mainly has 1 main on each side that I play mostly I decided hell with it I need 1 more legacy buff then my Jugg will have them all, so I bought a lv60 chr token expecting the same results, /lved a Operative lved him out of the dream stage and to this day I still have NOT gotten the legacy buff or any of the legacy completions. Now 2 points here and I would have been completely fine with not getting the legacy unlocks, why would I get it all on one toon and not the other? and also if its intentional that you will not get the legacy unlocks then you NEED TO CHANGE THE DESCRIPTION ON THE CREATION PAGE OF A /LEVEL 60 CHR to something like "All previous content will be locked and uncompleted"

I know it isn't "THE" lightsabre but if you use the conqueror volatile lightsabre with a red/black crystal (not the black/red) it looks pretty close, you don't get the mechanical part of the cross hilt but you get the "light" part of it, plus the pulsing unstable look.

Agree with most of his review, although I would like to add a little of my own, pvp wise (canceled sub a few days ago, got to valor 89 with my main, not super high but I know what im doing) I thought the combat was great, good flow, abilities worked with the animations which were great, interesting abilities, nothing seems overly god like (DPS should have nvr been nerfed, healing was easily keeping up with it)...just wish they did more with it on the pvp servers, maybe tied in OPS with planets, and worked in a RvR style control with each planet, battle for control and the ability to do the OP (kinda a DAOC rip off) idk, just seems to me like they have some really good pvp combat and they are not utilizing it in the least, same WZ's over and over and over will make even fun combat boring and pointless after you grind out your gear and optimize it.

It has nothing to do with pvp, in all reality the nerf killed what was left of pvp, the dps from these classes was needed to have any chance of taking down a healer in a timely manner.

id say its more along these lines, imo a lot more subs where canceled then you guys think, I mean why play a MMO that has very little MMO content and that content is years old? There are plenty of games out that provide MMO type gaming and with the latest announcement confirming that star wars is going the single player route for the foreseeable future I bet they lost a lot of subs. I know I canceled my sub, lving up a toon on GW2 atm, in fact just spent 50 bucks to get the xpac (money that would have went to get the new malgus armor, but I play MMO's not online single player games). Think this whole single player route will be the death of the game, but that's just my opinion.

My brother used to raid like crazy in rifts, me myself I just started again in GW2, going to give that game another shot, lving up a toon atm just to relearn the game.

well guys after this, a few other things and the patch notes that just released (huge DPS nerf) these where the nails in the coffin for me, sub canceled, 17days left on sub, will most likely finish out a toon or 2 because id hate to leave then unfinished, but I do not like the way this game is going so im not going to give them anymore money. Love star wars but hate EA/Bio....have fun all.

This is where im at, it wasn't just this, but a long list of things that happened in very quick succession, sub is being cancled, I wont goes as far as deleting the game off my comp, I might check back in on F2P status every now and again, and after they get the rest of the story line out I might sub for a month and complete all the new content they have (in a week or so), but no way in hell is this game worth a continued sub. I just don't get it, you couldn't be handed a easier title to make money with, Fing Star wars, everyone loves star wars, even if the the game was just bearable id throw money at you, but for this junk, no thx.
