  1. You're probably right that the shuffling of companions caused this issue. I wasn't going all Henny-Penny, but it would be a kick in the nads if somehow a Sab decision caused a permanent rift. I shudder to think. As it is, I feel bad for keeping Theron around in the alliance with my SI, my only DS 5 character, it might have been kinder to exile him. And Quinn would be apoplectic if a SW was working for the Republic. Makes for interesting head canon though. Not pleasant, but interesting.
  2. I suppose what bothers me the most is why this is even in the game that a romanced character can break up with the main character. Unless this has something to do with the Saboteur story line where the MC's actions could cause a LI to separate ways. What a kick in the head that would be, especially if there's no way to get them back. Looking at Theron here. Either way, some trigger point got changed somewhere and I do hope they can fix it soon.
  3. Thanks for acknowledging this, Eric. I have submitted an in game ticket as you requested. I don't want to lose my big red guy after waiting for so long.
  4. This is highly annoying especially since it's in a phased instance, and part of a daily, and the mobs all despawn after defeating the end boss. I hope they fix this soon and it's not an intentional ploy in future Mek Sha H2 to make the content harder. What it does is make me not want to do the content at all.
  5. "And those leaving tend to generally fall in the category of "solo players" - people who want to be anti-social and not need to group with anyone to get gear or do content." You lost me right there. Yes, this is an MMO, a massive online world populated by other people. It is not an MGO, a massive online enforced GROUPING world. I'd say it's big enough for all types. I'm old enough to be most players grandmother, and I used to do group content like a mad dog, but now, I have some physical limitations. People get old, you'll understand when you get there. The reason I won't group is because I refuse to have some 20, 30, 40, or even 50 year old A$s hat being rude just because they can. I've played a lot of online games, and have found that players often ruin a game far more efficiently than the company who made it.
  6. Confirmed, still bugged. Lots of people looking, nobody finding it according to general chat. Star Forge Server.
  7. Just so I've got it straight, there is no terminal on Mek Sha for weekly/daily quests? Why would I opt to do any of this if there is no weekly cache to obtain? I can work the 2 heroics just fine, but the rest is sort of a waste of time. Did them once, that was enough for me unless I'm missing something.
  8. Theron has the most cutscenes for sure, but I did have to put one of my JK alts with Scourge. I've waited too long not to. Have Arcann with one of my SW alts, but he has so few interactions, I won't take her further unless he has more scenes. The rest are with their original companions, just in case we get at least something in the mail. Not holding my breath though.
  9. I have to wonder if this is caused by a dual trigger to start the cutscene: one where you walk through the door and another to click on the terminal in the room? I was able to re-enter the flashpoint but had to do it 3 times on one character before I was actually able to click the terminal to start the cutscene. I had to get past the door trigger to do this.
  10. Star Forge Server Meridian Flashpoint - Solo Mode Once on Jedi Knight Once on Bounty Hunter In room where Theran Cedrax is in the spire, the game locks and never starts the cutscene. I have to close down the game, reset the flashpoint and the phase and do it all over again. Very disheartening. Won't take another character through until this is fixed.
  11. Server: Star Forge I have been unable to purchase the Priority Transport to Odessen since 6.0 on any of my characters. It will not open for purchase when clicked on. All other planet transports show up as available except this one.
  12. Due to budget constraints, I doubt we'll see much interaction with old companions, which I hate. The big draw to the story part of this game is the companion aspect and I'd bet this holds true for more players than would admit it. Thing is, we are not greedy. Anything at all will be welcome. A letter, one MEANINGFUL line, goes a long way. Unfortunately, SWTOR seems to be going in the one size fits all, hack and slash story which is fine, but I can get that anywhere. As always, I'll wait and see, but definitely not holding my breath for any further interactions with old companions beyond those that are yet to return. Then it will be an alliance alert, a couple of cut scenes and done for them too.
  13. So much this. If the game is going to turn into just another hack and slash, PvP, occasional OPS, gear grind game then so be it, but be honest about your intentions. The old disclaimer of 'we'd like to do more with companions' just doesn't cut it anymore. If you plan to do away with companion interactions, just say so. A lot is hinging on the story for 6.0, IF it happens at all. For us story players with vested companion interests, much of our continued support might hinge heavily on what you do with our companions. Surprisingly enough, not every player wants to do PvP, or Ops, or conquest. We came for the story, we stay for the story. Believe it or not, a little often goes a long way. Lip service does no one any good. Too many promises made and too many broken. We've heard it all before, ad nauseum. I, personally, don't expect communication to get better, it never has. It's always been knee jerk reactions to player meltdowns, I suspect this post is much the same. Or maybe that one poster was correct about the 'influencer' comments that you wanted to circumvent. I guess we'll hear from you again when the next sh*t storm hits the forums.
  14. As much as I hate to, I agree with this. I don't think BW has the finances for further LI scenes for 20 odd different characters. I think the LI ship has sailed. Makes me sad because it's these interactions that set the game apart from the purely hack and slash quests that every other MMO has. Sorry, but a silly flirt option with every new character you meet just doesn't get it. Got no history with them, don't want one. Oh well, cheers to the good old days.
  15. If it was the droid from Netflix's Lost in Space, I might give him a go. No robot should have a butt that nice. However, I concur, the droids in Star Wars are not my idea of good cuddle time.
  16. I feel your pain and trepidation, however, as soon as they started 'killing' off companions, it pretty much was a death knell for future interaction with Love Interest companions. It's likely a financial decision, which I understand, but taking away an integral part of the game that sets it apart, does not bode well. SWTOR seems to be headed toward the path of every other MMO out there. A hack and slash quest fest, with PVP and an occasional OP on the side. It's a shame and I hope I'm wrong.
  17. I haven't posted to these forums for a while, but still, write SWTOR fanfic that I post to AO3 under the name Aurenia. That being said, I get an idea for a beginning and an ending, the hard part is always figuring out the middle, or how to get from A to Z. Lots of notes help with this since I'm a 'pantser', and I find that having even a brief outline helps keep me on track for the overall plot. As for canon, I've tended to stray from the game 'story arc' but still try to be accurate with timelines, if mentioned, factions, equipment, types of transportation, etc. Wookipedia is my best friend where that's concerned. I've been known to make up bits of my own lore and create my own planets. Nobody's called me out on it yet, so I guess it's ok. I've also been known to stray from the usual pairings, other than my Cipher Nine and Vector stories. I think it's fun to explore other aspects of the SWTOR universe, though I try to keep them as much in character as I can. I have a little notebook I carry around with me to jot down thoughts and bits of dialogue that come to me at the oddest times, usually when I'm cooking or doing dishes. I figure inspiration from any source or at any time is a good thing. I don't use a beta but have asked close friends if something makes sense during those times when I tend to go off the rails. I had friends when I posted in these forums who'd pm me when they found a typo. They do happen no matter how diligently we edit, and I do edit my own stuff. With most of my stories I tried to post one chapter per week, my latest is sort of I'll post when the chapter is done. Once a week helps retain readership, but I've found that people are patient if they like your story and you don't hold off on the next post too long. The main thing is to write. Practice makes you better, broadens your vocabulary, and fosters new ideas. A lot of famous authors started out writing fanfic, who knows where your journey will take you. Cheers
  18. I, sadly, have to agree with you on this Sarova. I see nothing companion related in the future and would count myself damned lucky to even get a letter. I think that ship has sailed. I understand the economic reasons, but the game is somehow lessened by the absence of companion interactions.
  19. They actually work on Doc, which surprised me. Don't know if it's just after the Ossus reunion or not, don't have another JK to try them with.
  20. Been saying this for months. Companions are on their way out. It's no longer economically feasible to create cutscenes for every LI companion. As for Lana, yep, I'm sick of her too, but she's the economy model that Bioware can afford to put into every cutscene. For JUS, I'd have even preferred Kai Zyken as someone different for a change. All this bickering doesn't mean much when at the end of the day, I doubt we'll see much diversity with companion interactions. The kill options was just the harbinger of the end times for our beloved companions. I understand the financial reasoning, but it will surely lessen the game I've come to love.
  21. Well said, however, I think it was all an intentional way for Bioware to slim down content for economic reasons. We have 19 or so LI companions now, and the money it would cost to make individual cutscenes with LI companions has to be more than they can budget. It's just not economically feasible anymore. When they made the decision to 'kill' the first companion, I took it as a sign that we will be getting less and less LI interaction, especially once all of them are returned. We have only 1 or two left unless they make Scourge a LI also. They could have made the returns more engaging surely, some were actually quite disappointing. But going forward, I don't expect much from our LI unless it is a letter, and I'll feel damned lucky if we get that. I hope I'm wrong, but all the signs are leaning that way. I'll prepare for the worst and hope for the best. And like the rest of you, please, no more deaths.
  22. It's nice for everyone to get a taste of what they like or enjoy. However, I think that soon romance of any kind will take a definite back burner or disappear completely from the game. It's simply not cost effective anymore. I believe BW was sending a not so subtle message when they started the whole kill, imprison, exile options. We may see something small with those who are yet to return, but after that, I'll count myself damned lucky if I get a letter once or twice a year. The thing with Lana, Theron, and Koth was that the storyline centered around just 3 companions rather than nineteen vanilla love interests. Even those that wanted some love from Arcann got a 2-minute cut scene and poof, he's gone from the story. I fully expect all love interests to be bricked eventually and become nothing more than battle buddies or pets. BW simply doesn't have the funds to continue with the diversity of romance, plus game story, plus pve, plus pvp, etc. Something had to give and love interests will be the sacrifice. I'd love to be proven wrong. More SGR and straight romance would be nice, but I don't think it's gonna happen. Peace.
  23. What about Ako Domi, the fallen Jedi sent back to Tython for healing and still claims he is unredeemable? I would like to know what happened to him.
  24. Exactly. Personal interactions have made SWTOR stand on its own against other games. It's that uniqueness that keeps sucking me back in. If that's lost, I will be quite sad, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
  25. My JK actually broke up with Theron at the end of Nathema in order to get back with Doc. And the breakup there wasn't angsty in any way, which made me not feel so bad about it. I much preferred it to the sad face breakup inside the base. I rather like Doc, you just have to get through the layers of 'machismo' to see he's not so bad after all and rather sweet under all the bluster. My other JK is waiting for Scourge, but that's another story.
