I second this heartily. Believe it or not, BW would feel a substantial dent in the subs if every female player unsubbed. (Not a threat, by the way, just making a point). Some nice male eye candy would be welcome and some variety also. The discrimination is real.

Yeah. I can get behind that, so to speak.

It's too easy for fanfic writers to transfer their own experiences onto a character. I've been guilty myself. BUT, it has its limits. NOBODY knows Theron Shan with any sort of authority at all except his original creator. And however, someone wants to depict him in his/her story should be respected and not argued over. It's the writer's choice to portray him as they see him and it's the reader's choice to read or not. Some see him as a weeping broken man-child, others as a self-abuser, alcoholic, womanizer, other's as a walled off, stoic loner, the list goes on and on. My Theron Shan is not the same as 'Your' Theron Shan, but unless someone has some secret psychiatrist's session tapes to expose, he's still just a fictitious character that we all see in our own way. The fact remains, NOBODY is an expert on Theron Shan. It's all interpretation or guesswork at best. Peace.

A most welcome surprise this morning: There was almost a poetry in Scourge and Lia's encounter. Thank you. Loved where the story has been and most enthused to see where it's going.

Take the time you need. The only true schedule is the one inside your head. The story will come when it's ready and I'll be here to read.

I'm there with you. I have only one DS 5 character, and she might tell Theron to bugger off, but I have no desire to kill him. She is sort of my DS test character, just to see what happens. But, I never saw the point in bricking a character in someone else's story just to satisfy an itch or in giving the choice to do so.

This is such wonderful news. Even in a diminished role, it's comforting to know that Theron will be in the ongoing story. I can deal with a cameo from time to time, I couldn't deal with him being gone forever. Had already visited the unsub page to see what I had to do and even wrote a synopsis for my reasons for quitting. Looks like I'll be around for what comes next. Thank you for saving Theron and for saving the game for me.

Maybe for some, but not for me. And what's to say they won't take them away also. Precedents have been set. For now, I cling to hope that Theron is not a brick and will appear later on despite Satele's letter. Either way, a nice play on BW's part to give nothing definite to keep us subbed at least until 6.0, if we have the patience.

They could have handled this will just an exile option. That way he could remain in the ongoing story via comms with Lana, and with actual presence for those that took him back. How dumb can they be?

Enthralled as always by the escapades of these two. The S-word being avoided by Thorns. Thorns would have asked for help, Ciner assumes and is not Thorn's friend Iz. Ciner has what he wants, so now what? What a wonderful off-handed compliment by Ciner at the end. Looking forward to more.

I am with you on that account. Nathema will determine if I continue with the game or not. And it's not just Theron either. Most companions have been relegated to 'pets' for lack of another term. If Theron loses his place in the ongoing story, or even Lana for those that love her, it just means that BW has no intention of continuing with companion interaction at all. And IF Lana continues but Theron is left in the dust, I'm not going to sign on for the Lana show. Also, if they do introduce new characters in 6.0 what's to prevent them from taking those from us too? This whole kill option has not been good for the game. In a console game, you can kill, then replay the whole game again with a different option. An MMO is a perpetual world, once something is gone, it's gone. Kill options were NEVER a good idea. It negates that character from the ongoing story forever, even if you choose not to kill them.

So much happening, so little time: Great chapter. So much revealed and still so many questions. Can't wait to see where this new path will take us.
