  1. Thanks, Bida for the screenshot. Also, IIRC, Interpreter's Retreat also used to be on the Galaxy map which it no longer is. The only way to get there now is with the shuttle from Voss.
  2. Server: Star Forge Character: Shyndyr Was trying to catch up on story before 7.4 hits. Finished Old Wounds on 12/1/23 on my Jedi Knight, Syonar and was awarded around 36K conquest points. Tried on my trooper Shyndyr on 12/2/23-12/3/23 and was awarded 0 conquest points, plus when opening the conquest screen in the Retreat. it was totally blank with an error that Conquest was Under Review. Also I could not travel to a stronghold from the Retreat, which I could do only 2 days ago. Not sure what broke, but something did. Can you please look into this? For those who do conquest this is rather disheartening. Thank you,
  3. Since we're going back to Ord Mantell, I do wonder if we'll hear anything from Jorgan or Corso, our first companions on the starter world, and for some our significant other. Even a letter would be nice, but I'm not holding my breath. So many personal touches get overlooked especially since the story is no longer about our characters. We are just bit players in a larger world. I get the once size fits all from an economic standpoint, but those little personal touches go a long way. Just my 2 pennies.
  4. As I see it, the new dyes in hypercrates may be an instant boost but is not sustainable. There's always an influx of money when a new item is introduced, but that quickly wears off. Many will use the cc coins they've accumulated for the direct sale dyes in December, or even fork over for a hypercrate or two in January, but that will die off. Sustainable direct sales long term should be their goal.
  5. Same here. Keep getting the 'logged out due to inactivity' error no matter what server I try to log into.
  6. I'm going to address the elephant in the room and maybe it's already been addressed but I didn't read all 6 pages of posts. Several of my friends have quit because there's no longer any interaction with certain companions. And don't say it's a girly thing because plenty of dudes were on the forums after KOTFE launched wondering where Jaesa or Kira or Vette were. Except for a few nonsense flirts that don't mean anything, we get very little of that interaction anymore. Heck, for most of them we don't even get a letter. Sorry, but that can't be that difficult to put into the game, but what few we get we appreciate. Secondly it's no longer our character's story. It belongs to Shae and Sa'har Kateen and Malgus. We are just devices to move the story along, such as it is. Yes, PVP and OPS are important. Maybe they keep the game going. I don't know. Maybe all the UI changes and such are preparation for releasing on console eventually. Again, I don't know. Seasons, conquest, and gear are all a grind, but every MMO has a grind of some sort. Is it enough to keep us occupied? I have no idea. To be honest the players themselves have caused their share of troubles. They complained about the release schedule of KOTFE so it got changed. They complained that ops were too easy and then complained when they were made harder. There were complaints about premades in ranked PVP. So it went away. And no MMO ever has been able to balance PVP and PVE. The nerfs and boosts don't equate. So, that's my 2 cents. Such as it is. I stay subbed for now in hopes that the game will survive. I don't indulge in cartel market stuff except for companion boosts to 50. There's really nothing I care to buy. On the side note of buying. If they made replayable content with said certain companions, I might get off some of those cartel coins I've stacked up. I came for the lightsabers and stayed for the story and a touch of romance. And I know damned well I'm not the only one.
  7. The only concern I have is that cutscenes will appear darker than they already are. Also, areas like Manaan will be unplayable by people with poor eyesight, like my friend who refuses to go there because it's so dark. Guess we'll wait and see. It's not like we have a choice.
  8. I'm just happy we get anything new. If we had to wait a year or two for an XPac people would complain, now they complain about the 'mini chapters.' Personally I like to have something new every few months, though what I really miss is interaction with our old companions. But that's another issue. I hope these lighting changes don't make the cutscenes any darker, some are hard to see as it is. I'm rather meh about the UI changes. They do take some getting used to and the map is still buggy. The one thing SWTOR gets right is the environment. It's always very detailed even down to the studs in the buildings. I'll just play what I'm given, though I will be glad when the Mando stuff comes to an end. I'd like to get back to my character's story. But that's probably just me.
  9. Yes it is weird especially when the drop rate is hit or miss, mostly miss. It seems a wasted effort, but I suppose it was intended to help those who are F2P since they don't get the subscriber reward spores. In that case, the grind might be necessary to hit the weekly reputation cap.
  10. Since the weekly reputation is capped at 5000, I make enough each week to cover this just by doing the weekly seasons quests, plus we get 2 each day, and if a subscriber an extra 10 per week from rewards. I use those reputation boosts and a turn in of 20 spores gives around 1100 rep points. That being said, it does seem unnecessary for grinding out drops without a companion, however, I suspect this is due to the fact we got no companion this time to set flags. So I guess that's why they did it this way. Brazz's gift sets the flags instead.
  11. Thanks. It's fine now. Hadn't run into that before. I'll know if it happens again.
  12. Was on Satele Shan. Connection went red. Entire PC locked up, mouse wouldn't work. Had to hard boot. I don't want to try again if the servers are down.
  13. I'm okay with some of the shorter styles, but most of them seem to cut off midway down the back of the head instead of at the nape of the neck. I have to be careful about which ones I choose since I don't want my characters being half bald. It's weird.
  14. I did find something interesting and by accident. I was on Corellia and had a quest turn in back at the Imperial camp. I accidently clicked on the green arrow on the world map for the turn in location and it brought up the area map for the Imperial camp with the quick travel icon. The icon was bigger on that map and easy to click. I'm still not crazy about the changes, but despite the double clicking and other hoops we have to go through, this might be okay. Guess we'll see.
  15. I did a bit of testing today. Overall I got 10 spores in the hour the Bazz buff lasted. Percentages varied planet to planet and killing just regular mobs. No Heroics or anything. I did do the two flashpoints and received 2 from each end boss even with a companion out. I guess this counts for something. Drommund Kaas: 3% Nar Shaddaa: 5% though they seemed to drop more from black sun mobs. I have no idea why. Tatooine: 2%
  16. I wanted to thank you for testing this. I suspect the open world drops is BS way of adding to the grind so people stay logged in longer since the drop rate appears to be 0% when going about our regular gameplay with a companion. Also the Brazz's gift is BOP to one character instead of legacy. Though you can buy more at the seasons vendor, I found this a bit odd.
  17. Wow. If that's the case I foresee a lot of people demolishing mobs on starter worlds, if the things even drop there. Historically it's been Nar Shaddaa or Tatooine with the best drop rates, and some heroics, especially on Coruscant. Considering the buff only lasts for an hour, I'll have to be choosy, and hopefully it does more than the other seasons where you got an item for 500 purple Jawa junk. Those were basically useless. Let us know what you find out and I'll do the same. Thanks for the response.
  18. I also agree. What used to be a simple process was made more complicated by adding extra unneeded steps/clicks. Also, a friend I play with has poor eyesight. This won't help her one bit since the QT points are not only dim, but small. Definitely not a QOL change for the better.
  19. Did I understand correctly that in order to get open world Dark Spore drops, even with Brazz's gift active, you can't have a companion out? Please tell me this ain't so, and if so, what's the point?
  20. To verify, yes, you can turn in dark spores on any character. I'm doing the quests on my Inquisitor but just turned in spores on my Sage. Also, the reputation track doesn't show up until after you do the first turn in. Yes, it's max 5K a week again. If in a guild best to have the reputable perk and also use the personal rep boost. Not sure if it counts toward the conquest reputation advancement since I already did that on Dantooine. Will check that out tomorrow. Cheers.
  21. On another thread, Dasty made an interesting counterpoint. The 7.3.1 post doesn't really specify whether it's per character or per legacy. That would make all the difference. If legacy, not so bad, if per character, well, let the flame wars begin. Some clarification would have been nice to offset all the speculation.
  22. You make a valid point. Some clarification from the get-go would have prevented all this, but I too will give them a pass until next Wednesday. As usual, it's wait and see.
  23. As for paying tokens for replay on alts, it'd better be a darn compelling story for me to bother. I doubt it'll open up the reward track again, especially the 2K cartel coins for subscribers, so what's the point? Now, if they offered replayable content with my original LI companion, I might consider, heck, I'd pay cartel coins for this.
  24. This caught my attention in the initial post about 7.3.1 Rather than tying narrative progression to companion influence, story progression is now part of the Galactic Seasons rewards track. Players will unlock new story missions as they progress through the reward track, with the final mission granted at Season Level 40. So, if I understand this, we won't be getting "reputation" points, which will hurt those who do Conquest. That 48K reputation bump is nice. Then we used to have 100 levels, so it's now 40? Is it 40 days, weeks, missions? A little clarification please and thank you.
  25. First, thanks so much for communicating with us. I've appreciated each post. That being said, I'm a bit confused about reputation. It sounds like there may be reputation track of a sort, but the explanation is a bit muddled. Those of us who do conquest each week count on the nice conquest point reputation boost along with doing the GS objectives. I'd appreciate further clarification on this please. Thank you.
