  1. So are there going to be some changes concerning Defense and Shielding for PvP in 1.2 or do they keep it as it is? All I' ve heard were rumours...
  2. Heh.... If you play with proper premade, you generally try to avoid being generalist. You specialize. With your build you're not a dps (sentinel will do better job than you) nor a proper tank (You basically gutted your utility for FiB which doesn't even hit that hard without it's passive~). Slow time is unique for shadow. Low cd, low force cost, 15 s duration. That's basically perma slow + perma dmg debuff, out of your basic taunts. Instant lift is nice, but with the amount of AoE/dots flying around not that useful in the heat of battle. With 31/0/10 you also spec nerve wracking so that your whole premade gets 6% dmg increase.... 50% crit dmg on DS is not as nice as it sounds. Once target dummies are released, test it by yourself ;O . It only increases the crit portion basically. As one of the posters above said, your build used to be good before they buffed Slow Time. Now it's just lackluster. Besides, just because I disagree with you (and I believe I know what I'm talking about, been PvPing in MMOs for years. GW1/WAR/Ragnarok, you name it) it doesnt make me "close-minded". Afterall, you've created this thread asking for an opinion. I'm giving it to you. In the end, you'll play whatever you want. All of the above DOES NOT APPLY if you play casually/in some social guild/pug. Then honestly you can spec whatever you want.
  3. Wait, another KC with no slow time ;D Guys. They recently buffed it so you can use it.
  4. Pretty much. And btw...You said FiB's "utility" outweights Slow Time. Wut? It only affects YOUR dot ticks (10 of them...) and it only heals YOU. Slow time benefits your WHOLE group with AoE snare and dmg reduction. Ofc FiB has a potential to hit like a truck (Internal damage) but that's not utility. Also....Why 1 point in Shadow Veil? Read carefully it works with FORCE and SHADOW technique. It DOES NOT work with combat. I assume you want to use combat technique afterall because you mentioned something about skipping instant mind crush due to usage of force technique (Plus you specced into increased chance to proc combat technique) With all respect, your build doesn't make any sense.
  5. +1 to the poster above. You see the YO-YO saber animation and you re like...."Trolololo, I smell squishy~~"
  6. Maybe I should stop ganking people doing dailies on Ilum then. If it really happened, then srsly, what a load of bs....
  7. I also jumped on power bandwagon and never looked back.
  8. As KC, you should be able to dispatch pretty much anyone. Except for smart, tanky healers.
  9. Its about timestamp. Ever played BW in WAR? Thats how it works you know. With delay you can hit with 2 abilities at the same time (On 1 timestamp) aka - Better burst. People popping defensive abilities? You know, you can CC them before burst. Even if they use CC breaker it gives you enough time usually. And about assasin's TurboSuperDuperLightning with no delay? Well.... (specced infil) He approaches you, you see the obvious YO-YO lightsaber animation....HMMMM I WONDER WHAT's COMING UP NEXT?, this is the time to use your defenses....
  10. Thanks for screens, but there is no survivors set Accuracy...Lol.
  11. Will they (marauders) be fotm? Yes. BUT - So many baddies will play them that we gonna own them over and over again on our shadows. Don't worry, future is bright. Just look at our pinkish War Hero set.
  12. Watch your force. If DS is draining your resources away and there is no proc just forget it, that's what I do anyways. Of course you'll always want the proc up if you re trying to burst someone with rotation + consumables. Also there is a trick for 3 stacks of HS - Just use your slow time first. It has a low force cost, low cd, decreses the dmg and slows your target down. Then ds spam, proc up, pop consumables, project, slow time, TKT.
  13. Battlemaster Stalker Power Generator to maximize dps. Battlemaster Shield Generator if specced for kinetic ward.
  14. If your target is armor debuffed (By guardian for example) and he doesn't have guard/absorb/dmg reduction passives, you pop relic+force potency+adrenal or expertise pot and you can literally crit for 4K +, even as KC spec. Not to mention execute. As poster above said though, 2,5 K crits are the most common and the most frequent. Sometimes your dmg sucks not because you're doing something wrong, but because you re taunted/target is guarded/he/she has absorbs up etc etc. Currently, Im full wrapped in surv BM (-10 sec for chuck norris) mixed with Rakata. Mods are mostly surge/power, 1 piece modded def. So overall 31% crit with smug buff, 610 dmg bonus on force, 73% surge thats unbuffed. 500 expertise (Above that it scales terribly bad). 40 % shield chance with KW, 21% def. Not a total glasscanon as you can see and I can still pul these numbers of. Of course you can get up to 700+ dmg bonus with dps focus etc. Btw, modded belt gives you more dps (well, stats) than battlemaster, use it. But yes, let's emphasize it once again. Around 2k-ish crits are perfectly normal. High WZ scores come mostly from AoE (Force Breach + Slow Time).
  15. So why did they include it i na first place? I agree it would be an overkill probably, but it basically means 1 of our abilities is wasted. Change it to "reduce cost of project by X" or something. Or remove it alltogether.
  16. Yeah, take lvl 10 naked sage and lvl 10 naked shadow, cast project and enjoy exactly the same numbers. Our sith mirrors have exactly the same problem btw. Shadow's training doesn't work (Tested it 1 week ago). Seeing as we're generally project-dependant (At least as KC/Infil, a little bit less on balance but still being used) I find it ridiculous.
  17. This is awesome. As a stealth class (supposedly) we ll be able to perfectly blend in into herd of pigs and during these pink-sky dusks and dawns. Good job BW. Seal of Shadow Community Approval.
  18. This is ridiculous. When are they gonna fix passive 25% more dmg for project? (Shadow's Training). Pretty much no changes.
  19. I wonder if they're aware of Shadow's Training.
  20. Not useless, but definitely not THE BEST choice for premade. Reading comprehension please ;]
  21. I'm not saying you cannot perform well. But as far as competetive premades go.... I know how it is, it kinda reminds me of Magus/Engineer situation from WAR (Eventhough Shadow is definitely better than the latter). Take Powerr for example. He is concerned about class niche, but it's not like he won't get spots in premade for ranked WZ's. However, I think they should really revamp our trees quite drastically. Increase tankability+CC at the cost of dmg/stealth, improve infil;s survavibility goddamn it (Our supposedly main tree). If we're talking about pugging and 1v1/1v2 situations, shadows are fine and dandy. If we're talking about competetive 8-man premades (And this thread is all about it) they aren't.
  22. He is right though. I've been playing PvP for years (GW/WAR/Ragnarok) and team of specialists beats a team of generalists. Shadow is jack-of-all trades, which is good for some solo ganking and smallscale situations but not for competetive 8-man rated WZ. Infil - Too squishy, burst easily negated. Balance - Medicore CC, burst > dots. Always. Kinetic - Not the best tankability, not the best CC among tanks, decent dmg BUT starved for force constantly. In other words - There is no real niche for shadow in rated WZ.
