  1. Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice idea. Especially since the Print Screen button is bugged all the way to Hell and back for me and doesn't work AT ALL during cutscenes. I would just love something like this.
  2. I agree and have suggested as much (and more) in the Robust Chat System link in my signature. Perhaps someday they'll give us all of it and the game will have a stronger community feel to it.
  3. Launch-to-close CoH player here and I agree with this suggestion wholeheartedly. Every MMO should have CoH's sidekick/exemplar system as part of its core package.
  4. Ah. That explains it. I've never done anything that would get me or require the high-end mods like that. Too many fun alts to play through the class stories.
  5. What are MMGs anyway and what are they used for? No, really. I have no idea what these things are.
  6. I'm not actually sure that it DOES end. At least not until Darth Bane tricks Lord Kaan into performing the thought bomb ritual 2,600 years later, destroys the Sith of that time and creates the Rule of Two to bring about the 1,000 year decline and fall of the Republic.
  7. The dinosaurs or mesa beasts or whatever they're called on Makeb. I durn near walked right into a champion-level one on my first time through the planet, stopped, backed up and just stared in shock for a few moments. I think I actually said "Dude, what?" out loud. Followed by "Okay, who let InGen loose in the Star Wars universe?"
  8. You expect human beings to be rational? Creatures that can hold two contradictory thoughts within their minds and completely believe both of them? Rational? Not in this segment of the multiverse, sadly.
  9. My Legacy name is Diomedes because I have a deep and abiding love for The Iliad and, next to Achilles, Diomedes had the most epic chapter in the entire poem. Dude was so awesome he managed to wound a freakin' goddess. So when I had to pick my Legacy name, there was only one name I even considered.
  10. Here, here. If I'm ignoring someone because they're a schmuck, the odds are high that they'll be a schmuck no matter what alt they're on. Therefore, I would like to be able to put their account on ignore and never have to deal with them again.
  11. I don't understand it either. I'm at legacy 47 and my main has more than enough creds to toss 1 mil to a new alt who might want this psychotic little furball at his/her side from the get-go. HOWEVER, I don't see how even Charlie Sheen could describe paying Cartel Coins for Treek as "winning." Exactly what kind of victory is it? What exactly is The Prize being won? Can there be only one? Ahhhh...maybe I need to take another break from the forums before I concuss myself banging my head on my desk.
  12. Thanks. The guild(s) I'm in are in the same situation. We have a Republic guild and an Imperial guild and whoever's on one side has no idea if anyone's on the other side.
  13. The fact that he keeps saying that while shooting people in the face never fails to make me giggle.
  14. I'd personally go with an option to make the Legacy Vendor Armor into adaptive armor once you're at a certain legacy level. My Sentinel wants a vest top that only my Guardian can wear that I can't remember the name of right now. It looks just like a vest you get on Tython, only moddable. If I could use my legacy to make it so that my Sent could wear it, that'd be awesome. Other than that, well, I'll have to do some more thinking on what might make for a fun perk.
  15. Republic fighter pilot - male voiced by Mark Hamill Imperial fighter pilot - male voiced by Kevin Conroy But I've begged for that before, I'm sure.
  16. I agree. If a species has hair, then we should be able to use any possible hairstyle with it.
  17. I already have him/her/it on ignore. I just respond to the people responding when I see something I want to respond to. I'm just amazed that this person isn't on more people's ignore lists.
  18. I believe they call that the "Add User to Your Ignore List" button.
  19. Hmm, let's see. My list would look something like this: Daytime TV: Lara Parker as the witch Angelique Bourcharde in the original Dark Shadows. They say Hell has no fury like a woman scorned and this character tormented her ex for 175+ years. First by turning him into a vampire and then showing back up repeatedly to make his unlife miserable during his trips through time and parallel dimensions. Nighttime TV: Larry Hagman as J.R. Ewing in Dallas. He made being a smug, manipulative S.O.B. look fun with that smirk and ten-gallon hat of his. Movies: Khan Noonien Singh from Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. Ricardo Montalban quoting Shakespeare and Moby Dick at William Shatner throughout the course of the greatest Trek film ever was just breathtakingly epic. Video Games: Hmm. That's a tough one. I think I'll go with Lord Nemesis from City of Heroes. Three loading screen quotes come to mind here. "Everything is a Nemesis Plot." "Not everything is a Nemesis Plot." "If it's not a Nemesis Plot, you can make it one in the Mission Architect." Books: *gurgle* I've read so many books over the years that it's darned near impossible to pick just one. But if I really, really have to, then I'll pick Ishamael/Ba'alzamon as presented in the first couple Wheel of Time books. Someone who had been manipulating events since the downfall of the previous Age all in order to bring about the final downfall of the world in the current Age. Comic Books: I'm gonna pick two here. Firstly, the Reverse-Flash (Eobard Thawne) as presented when he The other one would be the Anti-Monitor as seen in the original Crisis on Infinite Earths.
  20. Here's my take on it. (Not that anyone cares, but hey. ) I'm male. I like entertainment (movies, TV, games, etc) with strong female characters who can kick butt and take names. For example, Sarah Connor in the Terminator films & TV show, Ripley in the Alien movies, Buffy and so on. A game like this with its emphasis on story, cutscenes and excellent voice acting allows me to actually guide one of those characters I enjoy watching through an exciting Star Wars adventure. That's a win-win situation for me.
  21. The only way I would ever queue for PvP (or PvP at all, for that matter) would be if they completely revamped the space game to be like the old X-Wing/TIE Fighter games and maybe tossed in a whole new Fighter Pilot class for both sides. Which, due to the work & money it would take, will never happen. But something like that, especially if we could pilot using a joystick like X-Wing & TIE Fighter, which would depend entirely on our individual skill as pilots would be the absolutely ONLY thing that would get me to queue for PvP.
  22. Personally, I hadn't actually paid any attention to this game in the first place. Didn't take part in the beta and BioWare really wasn't on my radar at all. Had never tried any of their games before. I was very happy playing my multitude of alts in City of Heroes. But, round about launch time for TOR I was looking for something that I could hop into and play occasionally when I couldn't decide which blaster/scrapper/controller/mastermind/etc. to run. Heard about TOR from some coalition-mates (and a coalition system of guilds allied together is something fun & community-building that TOR could stand to steal from CoH along with the entire chat system as described in the link in my sig) and decided to give it a try. Loved it from the start. The stories. The excellent voice acting. Companions with attitude like Kira Carsen (still my favorite companion) and Khem Val. Got to the point where I was splitting time evenly between the games. When the CoH shutdown was announced, I held on to my TOR subscription but devoted those 3 months to my stable of 47 alts on Triumph server. Since the shutdown, I've been on The Shadowlands with several fellow CoH refugees in a guild named Paragons after our former home. I love the game. I've almost got all 22 slots filled on the server (bought most of the extra slots from the GTN) and am hoping they'll expand the amount of total alts per server we can have so I can make more. The dye system isn't as awesome as CoH's character customization system, but what is? Love the armor sets available on the CM and the Collection system has let me spread them around. Love being able to swing a lightsaber or fire a blaster instead of the all-too-common sword & sorcery crap. Really, at this point I just don't see anything else coming or already out that can entice me away from here. I enjoy my time here. Yeah, there's a couple ideas I think they should steal from CoH to improve things (better chat, better team-building tools, coalitions of guilds and the super-sidekicking system) but all in all, I think they're doing a fine job so far.
  23. So what's all the fuss? Ain't nobody got spiiiiiiiiiiies like us! Spies like us!
  24. Lord Praven. He only shows up really in that one mission and a letter you get from him if you manage to talk him into going to Tython, but I think he'd make an excellent second apprentice once I'd much rather have him on my ship than Lord Scourge.
