  1. I'll see your retail and raise you having worked for county government nigh on twenty years ago. You wanna talk about whining, moaning and feeling entitled? Oy freaking vey! The stories I could tell if this weren't a semi-public venue. The times I wanted to shout "No, you moron! We're not conspiring against you! Who the hell are you, anyway?" *shakes head* So glad I'm in the private sector now.
  2. I don't know, Instead of some of those missions where we have to defuse landmines, it might be amusing to see a mission where we have to dispose of anti-personnel mimes, instead. A mime is a terrible thing to waste, after all.
  3. Also known as the Sith Mime Guild, perhaps?
  4. Here's my view on things, and it's a simplistic one at that. (But then, I'm a simple - and simple-minded - kinda guy. ) If the dye modules I have available to me via my Artificer, the CE vendor and - I think, though I could be wrong - the VIP vendor make me smile or giggle when I preview them, then I'm gonna use them. Don't matter if it means putting my Sentinel in Lime Green or my Juggernaut in Neon Pink. What makes me smile is getting used.
  5. If only more games had classes that flexible. *sigh* God, I miss CoH.
  6. Kira is the perfect Padawan for my personality and dialogue choices, so I try to always have her with me. Unless I know there's a boss fight coming up where I will be in desparate need of healing, at which point I take out Doc.
  7. I really want to mute every flipping alien who says that "mo-killee, mo-cranky" line. At this point, I just don't care how cranky they get the more they have to kill, they should just flaming shut up about it already!
  8. The video is not displaying for me no matter what browser I try to use it in. I've tried IE 10, Chrome & Firefox. Does anyone have a link to it other than the one in the original post by Courtney?
  9. So I was thinking recently about what I'd really like to see in the game and came up with a few minor things that I'd like to toss out as suggestions. A way to change the background lighting in the preview box in order to alter/eliminate some of the shadows that make it difficult to get a good view of what you're previewing. Either an automatic highlighting of the armor piece/weapon you're trying to preview or a button that says "Highlight previewed item." This is something I particularly want for when I'm trying to preview bracer drops because I have no idea where to look for them. I think they're located somewhere around the glove area, but I have no idea where so a highlighting feature would really come in handy for me. I would also like more in the way of character customization. More hairstyles, more hair colors, more face options, piercings (ear, nose, etc.), so forth and so on. Basically, extra ways that I could make my character more specifically MINE. I think that this kind of thing really helps players form attachments to their characters and, therefore, to the game. Armor dyes have been mentioned by other people in other threads and I'll take the opportunity here to agree with them. The games I've spent the most time in over the years have been Ultima Online and CoH. One had armor dying tubs and the other just had mad, epic customization and the ability to independently color every part of what your character wore. Again, it helps players to get more attached to their characters if the characters look exactly the way we want them to look and the more attached we are to our characters, the more attached we are to the game. Finally, and this is an I-might-be-the-only-person-in-the-game-who-wants-this kind of thing, I would like crafting schematics for different styles of lightsabers. Allow me, if you will, to explain. Right now, the only empty sabers an Artificer can create as he-or-she levels up the skill are the Custom Lightsaber and the Custom Double-Bladed Lightsaber. (Somewhere around max crafting level, you get the Elegant versions of those as well as some pre-loaded blades but it's a long way off after you get the basic Custom schematics.) As replacements for what you get on Tython or Korriban, they're not bad but, well, they're not all that good-looking. It occurs to me that, surely, at some point over the millennia there must have been Jedi or Sith that had an artistic flair which would have shone through when they designed their lightsabers. I would like to see schematic drops that reflect this. I would like my Sith to carry something that radiates menace and my Jedi to carry something with a certain swashbuckling panache. And I would like to be able to make them myself. I'm probably the only one weird enough to want something like this but, hey, I'll put it out there anyway.
  10. I support this wholeheartedly. Coming from the late, lamented (at least by me) CoH, character customization is something I consider vital to my online gaming experience. I would love to see a system along the lines of this. Some of my characters would go for a gaudy, almost foppish look to cause their enemies to underestimate them. Some would go for a more understated look. But absolutely every single one of my characters would use this in one form or another.
  11. Paragons (Republic-side) and Shadow Supremacy (Imperial-side) are guilds formed by City of Heroes refugees from the Triumph-based supergroup Fusion Force. We are a group of mature, fun, peaceful and drama-free players looking to provide a sanctuary for others fleeing the destruction of our former home in Paragon City and a home to any others who want to spend their gaming time with friendly people. At this point in time, we’re a leveling guild focused mostly on class- and world-quest PvE with the occasional Flashpoint in the mix. As we grow here in TOR, I’m sure we’ll add Operations to that list as well. Our guild philosophy can be summed up with the Golden Rule. “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” We treat everyone we encounter with politeness, kindness and respect and expect those who want to join our guild to behave in the same way. (On a personal note, I prefer to use Bill and Ted’s restatement of that philosophy: “Be excellent to each other.”) If you’re interested in joining us, please visit our website at: http://www.fusionforce.us. Once there, you can register for the site and post an introductory note on our forum. Whether you’re a fellow CoH veteran now living in a galaxy far, far away or whether TOR is your first MMO or anything in-between, we hope you’ll find your home with us in Paragons and Shadow Supremacy.
  12. After 8 years in CoH, whose "auction house" has always been cross-server, I'm inclined to agree with you. In my personal opinion, being able to sell to anyone and buy from anyone makes the overall game economy a lot healthier than it would otherwise be. I'd also like to get rid of the two-day limit on the listings. If I put something up for sale, I'd like for it to stay up for sale until either someone buys it or I decide to take it off and see if I can sell it for a lower price.
  13. Jawas are at the perfect height to start off a fight by shooting a taller enemy in a...sensitive spot. It'd be...amusing.
