  1. I would like to see Luke's tunic/pants/belt combo from A New Hope on the Cartel Market, maybe labeled as the "Tatooine Moisture Farmer's Outfit" or something like that. It's really a timeless kind of clothing set, not something that would really be bound to any particular era.
  2. I'd like to see higher RE chances tied to Legacy Level. Say, maybe an extra 5% chance for RE per every 10 Legacy Levels. So, at LL 10 you'd have 25% chance to turn a green into a blue and at LL 50 it'd be a 45% chance to turn a green into a blue.
  3. I have, across my alts, every crafting skill. My favorites are Cybertech to put the various armorings & mods in my orange gear; Artifice for the enhancements that go into the orange gear and lightsaber hilts for my Jedi & Sith; and Armstech for the barrels that go in the weapons my blaster-toting characters have. If you're looking to make Augments & Augment Kits, I believe the skills that can do that are Synthweaving, Armormech & Cybertech. Really, it all depends on what you want to do. My reason for crafting is to make the things that my alts need to stay geared up as they level. For some people, crafting is mainly a way to make money. Six of one, half-a-dozen of the other, as the saying goes. *shrug* Find your reason for crafting and pick accordingly.
  4. An option in the Preferences for that sounds like a good idea to me. I vote "Yes."
  5. Tharan is a companion for Counselors, not Smugglers. The Smuggler healing companion is Guss, who doesn't show up 'til Hoth.
  6. Shhh. *whispers* Don't name the Dark One or bad things will happen. Bad Things, man.
  7. Nice idea. Wouldn't mind spending a few Cartel Coins on that at all.
  8. For them to completely replace the chat system. Craftable Dye Slot Kits Fighter Pilot Classes for both sides using the X-Wing vs TIE Fighter space combat system.
  9. I think that superhero movies today have reached the same "dark" stage that superhero comics reached, oh, about 20 years ago. TV Tropes, which I'll resist the urge to link to, would categorize it as True Art is Angsty. Basically, everything in modern superhero movies has to be grim and gritty in order to "keep it real" and garner critical acclaim and coolness points. Oscar bait horse manure. Yeah, it's not my cup of tea, either when it comes to this genre. In trying to make Superman into someone the viewers/readers can "relate" to, the writers have forgotten that the core of Superman's appeal rests on two pillars. The first is simple escapist wish fulfillment as categorized by all the amazing things he can do. Faster than a speeding bullet! More powerful than a locomotive! Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound! Look! Up in the sky! The second is that he's incorruptible. He will ALWAYS choose to do the right thing and, even though his power would allow it, he will never give in to temptation and go on a conquering/destructive tear through human society. This makes him someone we can safely look up to and try to emulate as he'll never let us down. He's the ultimate nice guy and he does what only he can do with a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye. That's what makes him freaking SUPERMAN and that's what the writers need to remind themselves of with every page of script they type.
  10. Wouldn't the military have a problem with people trying to sell copies of the Reserve Officers' Training Corps?
  11. So do I, man. I miss their loot drop system too. None of this "Need/Greed/Ninja looting" crap there. I didn't even know what that stuff was until I came here. Not that I've run into any of the bad stuff here that I can recall, but there've been so many threads about it that I can't help thinking it would be better for everyone's stress levels if TOR switched to the CoH loot system.
  12. Agreed. The game I came here from (defunct as of last year) did that right from the start and so I'd never even heard of ninja looting until I came here.
  13. The one thing that bugs me more than anything else is the really horrid in-game chat system. I've played games whose chat systems make TOR's look like someone tied a string between two tin cans and called the result a telephone. (R.I.P. City of Heroes and damn you, NCSoft!)
  14. Alderaan. Oh, great Ghu, Alderaan. So oversized. So much travel. So many annoying aristocrats.
  15. My view is that, as long as you (the generic "you" as opposed to a specific "you") can afford it without negatively impacting your real life, there's nothing wrong with it. Once it gets to the point where you're spending the rent, utility & grocery money, THEN you've got a problem and need to seek professional help. And that's not sarcasm. If someone is spending the money they need to live on any particular game's cash shop, they have a serious problem. At the very least, they need to get themselves into therapy and probably should also hand control of their finances over to someone trustworthy at least until the end of their time in therapy to get out of the position where they are so much as tempted to backslide. But, if you're NOT spending more than you can safely afford, then I say spend what you want on the things that you like.
  16. I like it. To go along with that, I think we should also be able to craft Dye Slot Kits like we craft Augment Slot Kits. Then we can just apply the dye slot kit to our favorite piece of non-dyeable armor and toss our favorite dye in there.
  17. Thanks. Maybe if we can get enough attention to the idea, we can get a dev response.
  18. If they can't or won't do that, then I wish that they would (as I suggested somewhere on these forums) let us craft dye slot kits the same way we can craft augment slot kits and use those to make any gear we want into a dyeable gear.
  19. After seeing them in concert locally the other night -- Awesome show and they still sound amazing after 30 years together! -- I've been listening to my Stryper CDs and vinyl LPs again.
  20. I would put this into the Legacy System as a reward for achieving certain Legacy levels. Every 10 Legacy levels would add an extra 5% to your RE success chance. So, at LL50, you'd have 45% chance of turning a green into a blue and a 35% chance of turning a blue into a purple.
  21. You know how you can make Augment Kits and use them to add an Augment Slot to any piece of armor? I would like to suggest that we be able to craft Dye Slot Kits that we can use to add a dye slot to any piece of armor. Maybe then we could finally toss a dye into low-level orange armors like the Aspiring Knight's Vest that so many of us love and want to dye.
  22. Agreed. I'd much rather play the game that Han won the Falcon with. Plus I've never actually played KOTOR and really don't give a flying hoo-hah about a card game that only showed up there and in the sequel.
  23. Ugh. That kind of thing is why I left Earth & Beyond back in the day even though I otherwise loved my Terran Tradesman. Set a course, pick up a book and read for however the hell long it took me to get from where I started to where I was going. Boooooooooooring. I'm gonna say that I am in no way whatsoever interested in something like this for TOR.
