  1. More than a few days. I was able to post for weeks when I dropped my sub and became preferred. I never stopped being able to post, right up to when I subbed again (around 3 months later).
  2. I *think* the OP is saying that now trade mail doesn't auto-delete, they have a far higher risk of accidentally deleting one of their saved game mails.... Of course, if they actually paid a bit of attention to the mail (you have to open it to delete it), this problem likely wouldn't occur.
  3. Update: Now with the Republic side in progress completed, can honestly say I'm already over The writing is average - it's not bad, but haven't found any moments of brilliance as yet....
  4. There was a pop-up box after the update? I didn't get it. Maybe that's got something to do with my not seeing any difference in graphics or lighting on my computer. Everything looks just as it always has to me. /shrug
  5. Have just completed it on one (Imp) character. My thoughts - disappointingly underwhelming. Far, far too short. Horribly slow paced - talk about dragging the (Hidden) Chain.....I'll do it again on a Pub-side character, but if this is the breadth and depth (incredibly shallow) of what is going to be put out, I'll wait until several have been released (save them up) then take my characters through from Ruhnuk (I have several sitting at this point) so I get a decent length of storyline. And have a reasonable chance of not actually forgetting what the story is about between releases. Grade: 4/10. Edit: And yes, some letters would have been brilliant. Made no sense to not include some sort of communication from Corso and/or Aric.
  6. Credits that are locked in player's legacy or cargo holds are effectively banked and are not circulating in the economy. This means those credits are not contributing to inflation.
  7. Are you sure they won't? I can only go by nearly 20 years experience in another game (EQ2) where they have special ruleset servers - when an expansion drops, everyone on those servers decamps to the 'live' servers to do the expansion (which, I might add are significantly more in depth and breadth than what SWTOR is putting out), then they go back to their other home. Trixxie, I have a lot of time for you on these forums as you're *generally* pretty rational (and of course, being a Kiwi I understand the Aussie mindset), however you're really starting to sound a bit fixated on this. I totally get where you're coming from, but like a toddler at Christmas, continuing to make demands (which is how you are coming across to this reader) of BS/BW/EA/whoeverthehelltheyarenow probably won't get you very far and may just annoy the powers-that-be.
  8. Which is to be entirely to be expected. Once they've done the new content (which, let's face it - will not take very long), they will be back.
  9. I'm an APAC player, living in the APAC region (NZ). I am playing on the new server, and enjoying the freshness. I don't buy anything from the GTN (never have done - prices on the other servers are far too expensive so completely out of the habit of buying from the broker). Do I miss legacy perks? Yes - but it's not game-breaking for me. I just play and legacy increases.....it's good to have something to work towards so increasing legacy level is great (legacies really need to increase to 80 or 100 now). It sounds very much like there are some people (I cannot speak for all) who just want a low-ping experience, but want to have everything they currently have on the NA servers. From what I've read, it seems that some people may have thought that EVERYONE who started on SV would do so with a fully boosted character, such as the level 80 complaining about being matched with level 12s in a Black Talon FP. Perhaps not so many boosted their characters, and are starting from scratch to enjoy the vanilla game (the best part of the game) again. If PvP and WZs aren't popping, it may not be a case of low population and a 'dying server' - it just may be that others are taking their time to level up and do other things for now. How many play PvP etc because they have got to the end and are bored? If they haven't got to that point yet, they may not be quite so interested in PvP etc. I must admit it's nice to play with such a low ping (35-40ms for me) but to be honest, there's not that much difference in performance (probably because of time zones and because I don't play intense styles like PvP, Ops, WZs - as an aside, I also don't see any difference in the lighting/graphics changes they've made with 7.4, everything just looks the same to me). Yes, I would very much like to have my existing legacy perks available on SV. I don't care about credits as they are very easy to accumulate while just playing the game. The character transfer page does clearly say that the destination server has to be open for 90 days - so perhaps that's when they will be reviewing it?
  10. As an APAC player, I don't give a monkey's about transferring credits (they are easy enough to make in-game), but I would like to be able to transfer my legacy and its QoL unlocks. Although - I guess it's good to have something to work towards...
  11. If we could choose which individual chapters we could skip, that would be brilliant. If they broke up EoO into 2-3 chapters, that would work brilliantly - I'd definitely skip the last bit, but I don't actually mind the early part of the expansion.
  12. Not correct - I was able to post here freely when I was a preferred player. The trick to to not log out of the forum after you've changed from sub to pref....
  13. Yes, I'm still a bit salty at the loss of Slice Droid....
  14. Founder is in the top Character Title area, not a Legacy Title.
  15. I could be imagining it, but she really does sound....different.
  16. Yes, I know - I have several agents on other servers. Her accent seemed very different during the first few sentences, when she was initially talking to Keeper on the holocom in the Hutta cantina (opening cutscene).
  17. Is it my imagination or do character voices/accents sound....different? My F sniper doesn't sound anywhere near as upper-class, cut-glass British as I seem to remember. She seems to sound like an American trying to mimic the correct accent (and failing). Or am I imagining it?
  18. As do I. However, I am a pragmatist and if this is the trade-off for a proper, decent-sized expansion, then I'll take it. I'd even pay for it (but it has to be a proper EXPANSION, not a minuscule dribble of half-assed content once a year/ 18 months). As for engagement with our companions, why can't the writers have half a day per week and knock out some letters? No voice acting required for those, and it's great to get mail from our supposed spouses (or even other companions - let's not limit it to LIs). Heck, put out a competition for the fans and see what great letters they come up with - stock them up and release a few every couple of weeks or so. The rubbishy little bits and pieces of content we get now and have been getting for quite some time (breathlessly announced with great excitement as the 'next expansion') is nothing more than the GU that EQ2 puts out every 3 or so months, to keep things heading on the right path and preparing the player base for the next actual expansion in November each year.
  19. Can't get away with a MHD (Mental Health Day) at short notice, unfortunately.... All good - I'm very patient (mostly).
  20. I don't care if I start with 0 credits, but importing the legacy would be brilliant. Edit: Prelaunch for me is 5am on Friday 17 November - and I work full time, so it will have to wait until I get home after work....
  21. The server is showing up in the server list on login (albeit greyed out)...
