  1. City of Heroes had a mission creator. Of course, when it was first released, they had to do some major overhauling of it, as players were making missions to power-level from level 1 to max level in about an hour's time. However, once they worked the kinks out, it breathed new life into the game. Something like that here would extend the playability of this game indefinitely.
  2. You can't please everyone all the time. Why should they inconvenience others just for the sake of your own convenience? Plus, its only one day a week, so get over it.
  3. No, you shouldn't need to replace your video card, its more than enough to run SW:TOR. When is the last time you updated the software for your video card?
  4. Go to your local PC parts store, they will probably have a selection of older, though more than adequate, PC cards. I would suggest a Nvidia card. You should be able to find one for under 150 pounds (which is below 100$ here in Canada, and pretty cheap for a video card), probably in the series 3 or 4 range of Nvidia Cards. GPU won't do you much good, though, without the RAM to support it. You need to double your RAM, at the very least, if you want to play this game in the mid-graphics range. With a new video card, you might also need a new power supply. I would suggest saving your money for a bit longer, I doubt 200 pounds will be enough to get what you want. There's also the problem that your motherboard may not support newer video cards, it sounds like your system is pretty old. Just unhook your tower, take it in to your local PC parts dealer, have him look it over and see what he suggests. Good luck to you!
  5. I only pull out healer companions for the tough fights, otherwise, I use Jaesa on my Rage Marauder, and Nadia on my Shadow Tank. I keep them, and healing companions, well-geared.
  6. This is unacceptable customer support, Bioware. HIGHLY unacceptable.
  7. I play here with family, and we have 3 accounts between us. We do group content regularly. The companion bug is HIGHLY annoying. There's been multiple times we've been wiped because I didn't notice my healing companion has disappeared again. OR There will be times I am helping a group of low levels, and will dismiss my companion because he/she isn't needed for such runs. Doesn't stop my companion from coming back after each cut scene, though. OR After being in an operations group, I can't resummon my companion, still locked out from being in an ops group, even after dropping the group. The workaround I have found for this is to open your crew skills window, summon another companion, then switch back to the companion you were using before the group. Bioware, fix this. Its been ignored for way too long.
  8. Weekly Wisdom from the Master: "The more we learn, the more we discover how much we do not know."
  9. Weekly Wisdom from the Master: "The more we learn, the more we discover how much we do not know."
  10. I save it for tough boss fights in groups if I'm using a companion to fill a 4th slot (I keep two companions well-geared for such times) or when I come across a champion NPC I'd like to take down. Otherwise, I've never needed it for solo boss-fights.
  11. I've not had these problems. I shocked Vette until she finally shut up for good, but I still needed to get her affection up for crew skills, so gave her gifts to make up for it, helped her with her quests, and that was the end of it. I don't remember her making any advances, though. Probably had the collar on too long. Which is a good thing. With Jaesa, I turned her into a ruthless killer, and she loves me for it. She sent me a couple love letters about how we would bathe in the blood of our enemies and burn the galaxy with our passion. Or something like that. Then, that was the end of that. Sounds like you is a playah, OP. You dirty dog.
  12. I said the Cantina TOUR that Bioware puts on. Has nothing to do with Star Wars CANTINAS, bars, or alcohol. It seems my analogy was completely lost on you. Let me try again: Now, you say since Bioware is not showing up at E3, this means no new major content to come. Your assumption is that EA is not supporting Star Wars, because they won't be at E3. So, with that logic in mind, if you never go to one of Bioware's Cantina Tours, they should assume you are going to unsub, because you're not supporting the game by showing up at the tour. But I guess to you, the CANTINA TOURS that Bioware puts on must be another sign that EA is disinterested in the game, and is getting ready to pull the plug. That's because they're not doing it like other MMOs, only releasing new content once a year or two, in the form of expansion paks. They're releasing new content in small packages, as it makes it easier for them to work out any bugs in new content they release, instead of one huge major expansion update full of bugs. Take all the new content they've released over the last year, put it all together, and you have your "major content release", its just been coming in small packages about once a month or so. Also, Bioware said this is an MMO centered mostly around PvE, not PvP, so the PvPers shouldn't whine when they don't get what they want, which is better PvP in a PvE-centric game. While I agree that cross-server PvP would be great for the PvPers, I don't care either way, as I came here for the PvE. So, I'm sorry, but I believe your opinion is completely groundless, with no basis in fact.
  13. This is a PvE-centric game. Bioware said that right from the start.
  14. You made a HUGE assumption that because Bioware isn't going to be at E3, that it means there will be no new major content to come. That's like saying if people don't show up at the Cantina Tour, it means they are unsubbing. Your logic here is non-existent.
  15. A trooper helm, maybe? Like Obi-Wan in full trooper armor with robe in that Clone Wars cartoon when the Republic attacked a Banking Clan world, perhaps? Couldn't find a pic, but found a video on yourtube, see it here. You want to be at 23:38 to see the idea I have in mind. You could probably find such a helm as adaptive gear. It shouldn't be too difficult to find one that will match well since you can unify colours to your chest piece.
  16. As keenly demonstrated by your forum sig, Bioware isn't in the habit of thinking before they open their mouths. Big promises and small delivery have been a repeating pattern with them. I only wonder if they even realize it.
  17. Seriously, buy a Security Key. They're cheap as dirt. They ship them. You get an extra 100 Cartel Coins a month for having one. Bioware introduced OTPs and Security Keys, because they care about your security, and don't want to see your account get hacked. Security key. Its all win and no lose.
  18. Thanks for putting it in words I never could. I'm not a programmer at all, hardware is my thing. I build my own PCs and help others upgrade or build their own. Having said that, even I know that having one instance is better than having two for server hardware, and that more instances should only be created as the need arises. Having two or more instances with few people makes no sense. Sure, I could see the need for instance balancing if server population was consistently heavy at all hours of the day & night, but it isn't, so the current system in place works better than instance balancing would. Aside from that, OP, you got flamed a bit because you came here, made general statements without providing any real details (unlike this gentleman I quoted, who was thorough AND specific in his counter-arguments where as you were not), and got butt-hurt when people pointed out that your suggestion made little sense. You practically asked for it. I would suggest, for next time, you think your "suggestions" out more thoroughly and be ready to back up your points with specifics, or someone like Malastare will come along again and make you look the fool. No one likes being made to look a fool.
  19. I have no problems with the current system. If I find myself in an instance too crowded, I can easily switch over to the less populated instance, which I often do on Fleets. If one instance reaches a max number, you get loaded to the other instance. If you come in and both instances are up, you load up in the first instance until it is full again, and then players get loaded in instance number 2. They're not interested in balancing instances, only in keeping instances under a certain number. I like the way they have it. Its nice to have a "crowded instance" and a "quiet instance" to choose from. Now, all that aside, and out of pure curiosity, why did you leave the "u" in the "Sorce" of your name out? Is "Sorce" short for "Sorcerer"? Is it because "Open Source" is just too common? Just curious as to the reason.
  20. Yes, because as we all know, the Real World economy is rock-solid, being maintained by responsible adults with the common goal of benefitting mankind. /EndSarcasm Hell yes, they CAN be compared. Why? Because both the Real World Economy and in-game economy share a common root-factor: They are both driven by greed. So much of what happens in both economies can be traced back to greedy practices. Which is why I can walk out of one grocery store where they sell my favourite shaving razors for 25$ for a pack of 6, and go buy them at another grocery store only two blacks away at 13$ for the exact same brand and pack size. Both economies are crazy. Greed makes people stupid.
  21. Yup, and they're constantly tweaking things there too, the PvPers complaining about one balancing aspect or another. EVE has been chasing the PvP pipe-dream longer than most. But hey, if you call a game where players have no trust of one another and expect to be back-stabbed at any time a successful PvP MMO, then EVE is it. Then again, EVE PvE is just like PvP here. A joke. I guess no game gets it right.
