  1. 1. Togruta playable species (more species in general) 2. More customization options, for example expertise crystals in every single color purchaseable with comms. Increased variety of armors with less cost for swapping mods. 3. More pvp options such as cross server queueing, option to select which WZ to play solo queue ranked matches, more maps etc.
  2. Just another post supporting Togruta. In the longshot that Bioware actually notices and puts them in the game. Really making Cathar the first species to add is so lame.
  3. They said it won't be an expansion they said nothing about whether they will charge for it. In the end subscribers will end up paying for something. I imagine if you sub and you only spend your monthly allotment of cartel coins than you can use those to buy all the new content updates. However if you don't save it and waste it all on vanity gear you may have to shell out for makeb. Everything from that interview made me believe they will do whatever is necessary to maximize the cash they can bring in regardless of impact on the game. The fact they will sell blue gear means nothing is off limits. They say they will never sell top level gear but they can still make the game pay to win. I don't put it past them to sell battlemaster or columi gear or open up old tiers of gear for sale as they introduce new ones. Subscribers are not being viewed as a separate community than the F2P market, they will do whatever it takes to make as much money as possible this means from old and new players alike. Even though they may say the community matters everything in the F2P model is going to be driven on how much cash they can take in.
  4. The whole storyline setup and plot of the event is really interesting but the quests themselves are rather lackluster. Too many people fighting over too few quest items, relying on RNG, and then having gear that only applies to certain classes was sort of disappointing. Some of the quests like the bounty hunter tracking one were fantastic though but it seems like certain parts were just tacked on and rewards thrown together randomly. Everything for the rakghoul event made sense but I don't really get how bowcasters, a crappy speeder, and tusken raider armor fit together. Was cool to see the Chevin though. I was always wondering what the heck those dudes were up to on dromund kas from the launch of the game.
  5. There have already been numerous community voting threads about this though. It should be clear what species the fans want most. Species like Togruta and Nautolan were among the highest voted and those species already exist as npcs or companions. I'm confused what pros and cons there really are. What were the pros and cons that decided on Cathar aside from the fact they are easy to put in the game from a development standpoint? What pros and cons does Togruta or Nautolan have that Cathar doesn't? There are still a bunch of clipping bugs and issues for Twilek and alien companions so I find it hard to understand why new species are not being worked on rather than simply introducing Cathar as a standalone. Also you shouldn't use whatever metrics you get from Cathar such as number of people playing cathar or # of people who buy cathar from the cash shop as determining whether or not you put other species in the game because you can't simply compare the popularity and feasibility of one species to another.
  6. 1. pyrotech has more survivability but it is more close ranged so you will draw attention much more frequently. As a sniper you can sit at range and you have several very good snares to keep attackers off. If you have someone on top of you though sniper will go down very quick. 2. Pyrotech puts out more damage overall because of how well they can manage energy and continually spread dots as well as aoe damage. Sniper is the best class in the game for single target burst damage however. At the end of the match a pyrotech will outdamage but in the right position sniper can be just as effective. 3. Currently there are more powertechs than snipers so I would say sniper. Sniper is very good at defending objectives and controlling areas. Having a good sniper in huttball or in alderran on the high ground can really help the team. I have a 50 powertech and a 30 sniper and it just comes down to playstyle. I think personally sniper is harder to play since powertech can charge in and just start doing damage while sniper has to take into account their distance and LOS alot more. Powertech gets somewhat repetitive for me as well. I'm finding sniper pretty fun just because you can do a bunch of different stuff. At max level pvp there is only one real viable dps spec for PT but sniper you can choose any of the trees and do pretty well.
  7. Not giving players enough freedom. Bland species selection and limited character creation options, not enough opportunity to customize characters in terms of gear and looks until several patches down the line. Aside from that I still love the gameplay and stories, but just major bugs and lack of content updates were most disappointing. Every major patch I was hoping they would add the species I wanted or some cool new armor sets and fix major bugs or balance issues but those things never seemed to get addressed and every new patch either didn't fix something or broke something new.
  8. "the dev team is busy" means that they fired too many people and they spend all their time working on the new cash shop. Honestly star wars fans probably already knew about this game and they either bought it or not at launch. This isn't really a game you can market towards kids like other star wars titles and for the older star wars fans an MMO is likely something outside their interests. Trying to make veiled excuses doesn't really do anything to help the fans though. Just say the truth that in terms of marketing and making money that going to celebration doesn't have much to offer. They can easily get those casual star wars fans back once the game actually shifts to F2P and they start marketing it again in november. All of the other star wars news is going to overshadow anything that the swtor team could throw out and not be worth the time and money to send people to Celebration.
  9. TOGRUTA SPECIES TOGRUTA SPECIES TOGRUTA SPECIES YOU CAN HAVE ALL MY MONEY JUST ADD IT TO THE GAME ALREADY! Also finally getting the option to get expertise crystals in all the colors like purple and cyan. Ability to make any armor in the game adaptive so you can finally look however you want.
  10. Seriously. If they announced cash shop with all the playable species people have been requesting, any saber color you want, ability to make any armor customizable and adaptable, account wide legacy perks people would not be upset about this. They are NOT giving the customer what they want. Never in game or on the forums have I ever seen the #1 request for the game to be money lizard pets and dancing jawas. That kind of meaningless garbage money grab vanity cash shop is insulting to the people that actually like the game and the gameplay. Now they might as well just call this clone wars adventures 2.
  11. Restricting PVP kills the pvp for this game. There will be no more pvp community and for people who like to level by pvp it makes it impossible. I would rather they just restrict War Hero gear or ranked WZ to subscribers only rather than limit half of the entire game. Bioware always sides with the PVE side, being able to do unlimited pve, but limiting pvp is just stupid and honestly it is only going to prevent them from getting any money at all from pvp players.
  12. Why are you restricting warzone content for F2P users? F2P users currently have unlimited access to pve content 1-50 why would you restrict warzones played per week if people prefer leveling through pvp? Is the restriction apply per character or per account? How many warzones are allowed? Does it apply to both under 50 and level 50 brackets? Ranked and unranked both? If you just want to keep F2P players from progressing fast then limit the amount of comms they can earn or something but totally limiting PVP is going to seriously kill the chances of the PVP community staying steady or growing at all once F2P goes into effect.
  13. I will unsub unless the features for subscribers become something much more impressive. I am not going to continue paying 15 dollars a month when all I get for it are lousy vanity items. I'm primarily a pvper so as long as they allow me to play warzones I don't really see anything worth staying subbed for. Why doesn't Bioware introduce REAL features that people actually like not trying to milk people for cash in exchange for crappy vanity pets. Seriously I want my Togruta playable species not a stupid monkey lizard. Poor choices like these are why the game failed in the first place.
  14. They hopefully took it out because they are adding more races than just Cathar cause that wasn't even the most requested species for them to add. Either that or they removed it because they won't actually be adding it anytime soon within the next year which seems ridiculous.
  15. Just a question but why blackhole comms? Can you even buy anything with 25 comms or not. I'm primarily a PVP person so getting blackhole comms on my characters really doesn't help me much at all.
  16. 1.Togruta 2.Togruta 3. Togruta If that isn't allowed than 1.Togruta 2.Chagrian 3. Mon Cal
  17. They nerfed PvE much worse than PvP. In long fights PvE assassins will go down much quicker than any other tank class now. They are raging just as much on the pve side as the pvp side about how poor these changes are. The changes to threat mechanics have no impact on PvP at all. Basically they nerfed a tank class for all the wrong reasons.
  18. They have already been working on the new planet since before the game even launched. I actually imagine everything they announced today has been in development or near completion since before the game went live that was part of their design philosophy that they stated they had a team working on post launch content even during early development. I agree that this was a lackluster announcement though. Really none of the content is appealing to me. New Warzone is the only thing to care about, but it might not even be good. With too many warzones without the ability to select which ones you want to play it could detract from PVP as much as add to it.
  19. Bioware chooses the easiest to produce content in order to milk the customer. Don't worry in another six months they may add another colored human to the game.
  20. Once you reach the new max level the content won't be any more difficult than the current endgame. Implying difficulty is linked to level is a misnomer.
  21. We waited this long, 6 months after release to get cathar? Really? We already knew about hk-51 from data mining leaks along with most of the other stuff. Really a shoddy announcement for E3. If they weren't going to have big news like a new space combat system or something then it is really pointless.
  22. Going by that new video I saw something very, very disappointing. The new perks for legacy are not even legacy at all. The tooltip as they moused over said it only applied to the current character. Why introduce that as part of the legacy system if it doesn't even impact the legacy. If I roll a new character I won't have money to spend on all of the different legacy stuff every time. I guess they assume you will transfer money from alt characters, but why make us have to buy the experience buffs over and over and over again. Also how much does each level actually give? Is it 10% bonus to experience, 100%? I won't buy all of the buffs if it isn't even worth it. Legacy system is worthless you just grind credits on your main to buy experience boosts for your alt it doesn't even speed up leveling. Bioware just creates a way to make you spend more time in the game while thinking it saves you time. Brilliant because most people will be too dumb to figure it out, but kind of stupid for all the people who actually realize how the system works.
  23. The tanking tree isn't OP that isn't the problem. The problem is with the gear and the fact that the other assassin trees don't have enough incentive to ever spec in them. I honestly don't see any easy fix to this issue as it is ultimately a question of why the gear influences damage to such a degree. I have the same spec as every other assassin tank, but with my endurance and defense tank gear I am at most getting like 150k damage in a warzone. Granted I'm not fully geared and don't use adrenals to boost damage at all, but it just seems crazy that stacking willpower has such a major influence on damage output and such a small impact on survival. The only way for Bioware to solve this issue is to somehow redo the entire way stats and gear work or just somehow restrict certain gear to only tank specs or something. Messing with the darkness tree is just going to gimp the people that actually want to play as a tank. If anything they should bother making the other 2 trees better so they can actually compete.
  24. Someone want to explain why Tanksins are the hardest? I tend to lose to marauders in 1v1 compared to other classes. Sure tanksin has a ton of defensive cooldowns but once you burn them you are still going to get mauled. Tanksins have no way to purge bleeds and the dots totally ignore whatever defense I put up. Im assuming its just the issue of not having enough DPS since Im using tank gear instead of the dps gear, but depending on the tree they use marauder should beat tanksins.
