  1. I did PvE dailies and got around 100k credits for maybe an hour and a half of work. If I PvP for the same amount of time even if I won all my matches I would only end up getting maybe a third of that amount at best.
  2. People need to stop calling them tank assassins because that isn't what they are. They are dps assassins who are just exploiting the game systems to live longer. I actually play an assassin tank with full spec in the tank tree and tank gear and my damage output is terrible, most of my damage comes from aoe and hitting my procs on lightning and shock. At best I will crit for like 2k. Obviously the issue isn't the tank tree it is how the gear system and stats work. If you nerf tank damage the people actually playing as tanks will get screwed. Somehow they need to adjust the talent trees to actually make deception or madness worth specing in since most of the damage seems to depend on gear not the talents you have.
  3. I saw this on the new warzone. A scoundrel was capping and he was still invisible the only reason I noticed is because of the beam that shoots out when you hacking a turret. I've only seen it happen that one time but still a serious bug especially on voidstar when there is no indicator they are setting a bomb.
  4. Force shroud only lasts 4 seconds and that is with talents and it has a 45 second cooldown. The only other reasons you wouldn't be able to interrupt is if the person had full stacks of harnessed darkness which makes them immune, but you have to stack wither and shock 3 times for that and requires full spec in the tank tree so the damage is going to less. Shadows are good, but 1 on 1 I still lose to Marauders they are truly the beasts of 1.2.
  5. Bioware quickly addressed a major issue and now PVPing is actually worth while and I feel rewarded if I play well even if my team ends up losing how is that a bad thing. If you win every match you are still going to be gearing up faster than the other people except now it actually gives people on the losing side a chance to gear up and be even eventually. This is one time Bioware got it right. It shouldn't be hard to get Battlemaster gear since that is the new mid level and before it was too much grind to get war hero. Right now the rewards for warzones seem spot on.
  6. They really ruined PVP for end gear people or people who craft heavily. PVPing won't give you enough credits to sustain yourself if you do anything besides PVP only you are going to have to pve to make money. They also basically eliminated leveling through PVP as well. You don't get enough money to buy new skills/gear and you gain comms way too slowly to stay geared for your level. This might honestly be the worst thing out of this patch. Seems like they purposefully are trying to force people to level solely through PVE.
  7. After reading all the rage threads this legit made me lol.
  8. Someone on the PVP forum stated that they transferred new BM gear to an orange piece and the skill changed to reflect the set bonus even though the text showing 5/5 set pieces did not. Can anyone confirm this that any new gear bought will have its effects carry over but the text reflecting it is bugged? I will test this myself but I'm not really looking forward to potentially pulling the armoring from a BM piece and then having to pay and pull it back out if it doesn't work.
  9. This won't work because it still screws over people playing tank or just dps playing defense in general. Say you are on Novare or Alderaan and you have 1 cap, the enemy has 1 and the third is contested. You are going to need atleast 2 or 3 players to stay and defend the one point you already possess to make sure it isn't ninja capped while the others go on offense to take the contested point. In this situation the 2 or 3 people defending may not actually be fighting as much or at all but they are still contributing equally as the attacking players. If you are an unlucky DPS who is stuck guarding an objective good luck ever receiving any rewards. All it would encourage is for people to just attack all the time and ruin any strategy of actually defending a point.
  10. You can't even craft PVP gear can you? Aside from saber crystals I didn't think it was possible to craft anything with expertise on it. I would like to see crafters be able to make mods/enhancements or something though. Maybe as a midway point between recruit and BM. It would let people get out of the ugly recruit armor faster, give crafters one more utility, and also further ease the transition from starting pvp as a fresh 50.
  11. The shadow assassin imbalance isn't really an issue of the class being OP its just the fact that the gear system and damage mitigation properties allow you to stack DMG out of proportion to stacking defense making it better to take a small hit to HP or defense for a large boost in damage output. Although I honestly think that a much simpler answer is simply switching some talents around so it is harder to have all the benefits of a tank without going full spec. The last thing I want to see is the tank spec get nerfed since that really isn't the issue as I am fully spec in tank tree with tank gear and the damage I do is really pretty bad. Some of the other stuff I have to play more. I honestly don't think the increased damage/time to kill is that major of an issue. The game is still tactical you just have to make decisions a bit faster and you no longer have to deal with a tank or healer taking 5 minutes to kill.
  12. Played a few matches last night. Averaged about 50 comms per match, but also note I lost more than I won. Worst I ever did was 30, best I did was 90 something. Previously I would average 70-80 comms a match so they definitely decreased the rate at which you gain commendations unless you win every time. Assuming most players do about as well as me that means 100 comms in 2 matches, you can probably earn 200-300 comms per hour. That means about 40-50 hours standard at the current rate for full BM. Granted that I currently have no BM gear and was solo queued. Feasibly the average should increase over time and get closer to 60 comms average as you gear up and win more. Also some of those matches I didn't even get the full 8 medals. It isn't as bad as everyone says I don't think. You won't be able to get BM gear overnight, but in a few weeks factoring in dailies and weeklies almost everyone could earn it. Granted I was playing tank spec so I could get 3 medals almost instantly at the start of the match just from guarding which guaranteed a minimum reward. I know other people have complained about not getting anything. I do agree that getting 0 comms in some situations is pretty dumb though and should be changed, but after playing it seems blown out of proportion slightly.
  13. I suppose a better question is why was he even trying to 1v1 as a tank in the first place. Your job as a tank is to guard team mates or absorb damage. As shadow/assassin if you are alone your job is to find someone to guard and stay near them or find a group of enemies and use aoe/control abilities on them. Tank spec was never good for 1v1 to begin with.
  14. I only played a few matches and it didn't seem that bad. I didn't even have a single piece of BM gear and I still got around the same numbers in terms of damage and protection that I had before. I did die a little faster but it was minimal, my protection numbers were fine and even factoring in the more frequent deaths and the time it takes to respawn and run back I could still easily get to 50k prot if the match lasted 10 minutes or so. If anything hopefully it will require people to use their cooldowns more effectively. Too many tanks I see are just awful, all they do is slap guard on a random person and then go DPS.
  15. PVP vendor next to the quest hub lets you trade stuff in. You can either get credit cases for 1 champ/centurion (around 300 creds per centurion comm, 600 per champ comm). Or you can trade in for crafting materials. Depending on the crafting material you get you can probably sell it for more than the comms were worth, but it is more of a gamble. I have 300+ centurion comms and like 50 champ comms so atleast I get a little money from it. It would have been way to easy to get new gear if they let you convert it though, somepeople have tons and tons of comms.
  16. Isn't this a major bug? Pretty much makes custom armor worthless until it gets fixed. Why would they restrict it to just the top tier armor and not all of the new armor pieces in the game. I'm pretty sure it was stated that if you bought new BM gear you could transfer the set bonus you didn't need War Hero. Hopefully this gets addressed. I'm inclined to sacrifice the set bonus just to stop looking stupid regardless but this is just one more issue 1.2 brought with it.
  17. Kind of silly I havn't seen one queue since launch but now everyone rerolled onto the server because there own servers were dying. If Bioware had server transfers or merged a couple servers this wouldn't happen. I think there are like 3 full servers and all the others have like 10 people on them.
  18. Kind of sad that Bioware tries to get players to come back by throwing vanity pets at them rather than actually fixing all the major problems they added in this new update. I appreciate the free month of play time though really the least they could do with what a horrific mess this update has been. If a month from now nothing has improved, don't expect people to stick around though. Maybe if they give us a free pet every major patch they think players will forget about how bad the game is.
  19. Honestly at this point I think that is what Bioware was planning from the start.
  20. With this system it would take infinite number of weeks if your team never manages to score. Seriously Bioware did 0 pvp testing in 1.2 so you can't be surprised they screwed things up so badly.
  21. Ranked PVP coming as DLC after all the fan protests. Bioware sure is clever.
  22. They said swtor would be profitable with 500k subs. I'm assuming they are still above that number as they don't really seem to care what they do so long as they keep making money.
  23. I'm just curious. In light of the removal of ranked warzones on the imminent release of 1.2 I'm wondering how PVE players would feel if Bioware removed the new Operation or Flashpoint because they felt it wasn't working properly? How would the PVE players react to this type of thing and do you even think Bioware would risk it since the PVE playerbase is larger and from everything I have seen is valued more by Bioware. Do you think they would release the content with the bugs in it or would they delay the entire 1.2 patch until they fixed the issues? 1.1 was delayed for a week or so but it only had one new flashpoint. I'm just wondering what people think as a whole to the difference between how PVE and PVP are treated and if cutting content from a major content patch is acceptable if some of the features are ready to be released.
  24. Togruta. Bioware are so lazy I really don't believe they havn't been added yet. Dozens of Togruta NPCs all with different skins how hard is it really to convert that to a player model? At PAX they said we won't even get new species until next year which is just dumb, I will probably have stopped playing by then.
