  1. Same thing with folks that like the game though... Can't see one thing wrong. Everything BW does and says is just sooooo sweet and juicy. Aren't they just the bomb? Extremes on both sides need to take a step back in order to effectively make this game what it can be.
  2. I just found out that Kira can't be in my Legacy Tree... which would beg the question as to why I can romance her, marry her, tell her that I want kids, but she is not even considered part of my legacy? hmmmm I guess my legacy name, Carsen, is kinda pointless now! agggghhhhhh LOLz Was this printed somewhere? Did I miss it?
  3. Oh my gosh!! Are you kidding me? Why would I have a romance with a companion, only to have them completely ignored in my tree? I even named my legacy Carsen (yes, I took her last name, so what?). I guess the laugh is on me! LOLz
  4. Just what the title says... I am married to Kira (supposedly), can she be in my family tree as my wife? At work, haven't logged on since 1.2.
  5. Part of that is the commerce/GTN on a Heavily populated server vs. a Low populated server. i.e., Put a popular restaurant in the heart of Times Square in NY and the same restaurant in a rural community in Iowa... the restaurant in Times Square is going to be doing so much more business it isn't even a comparison.
  6. All sarcastic fanboi replies aside... There is a quote from the devs saying it was one or the other, not both. Has this changed?
  7. Very impressive. But, I have to admit, I wondered to myself (and now typing it) why? Then again, I have done similar things in other games that seemed fun and important to me at the time and, to be honest, I don't know that I have ever regretted it either. To each gamer, their own! However, I will not be doing this in SW. Not that you care... not that I care... I don't even know why I wrote it cause... quite frankly, no one cares!
  8. Respond to one of the emails from the credit farmers? J/K...
  9. If that is true... that is hilarious! I never played it, but if going from level 45 to 80 meant killing random mobs until your keyboard and mouse broke... LOL'z
  10. I didn't know that, but I do now. And yes, it would be nice. And I think BW does police their forums pretty aggressively. I have even gotten a warning or two when I put a toe over the line (okay, maybe several). I have even seen where someone was looking to get "banned" and sure enough, they were! That said, you really can put certain posters on your "ignore" list and you won't have to read their posts ever again. As a side note, I would say that the "rabid fan base (i.e. fanbois)" can be just as vile and seem to be on a personal mission to flame anyone with a single inkling of negativity or feedback on the game. Just getting them to even admit that the game isn't perfect is something that would make their head explode. Unfortunately, we have extremes on both sides of the aisle.
  11. While it would be great to be able to distinguish people based upon motives, forum posting privileges are tied to one's subscription and runs the entire length of that time, regardless. If someone buys a 6 month sub, but cancels auto renewal a day later, they are still "active" for that 6 month period and have access to everything that the subscription affords them as a paying customer, including forum posting privileges (whether you like what they say or not). Wouldn't be practical to try and restrict posting to only those who love the game and are willing to extol its virtues. However, you can "ignore" any posters you want.
  12. That's because WoW put a tool in place to allow this. BW hasn't made this a priority, thus you have "times of the day" when you can do all of the content, and other "times of the day" when you can't (heavily dependent on your server, of course). For some, there is no "time of day" when you can do the content, because there aren't enough players to do it.
  13. It would only be considered "core" because BW decided it was "core" to this game. Is a "family tree" really core to this game? If they had said, getting all players in to FP's is a priority for us, then a FPF tool would be become "core" at that point. BW sets the priority on their additions and subtractions from this game. However, that doesn't always match up with player's priorities, for various reasons. Thus you have complaints. If everyone was just along for the ride and casually accepted everything BW did and didn't do, then we would all be singing and holding hands while skipping around on the fleet.
  14. They probably had a GO/NO GO decision with the devs up until the last minute. That's how some IT rollouts work. You are working on something diligently for weeks and there are still things that need to be worked out as the deadline approaches. Everyone gets on a conference call (the GO/NO GO call) and you discuss it at length. In the end, the lead developer along with executive sponsor and project manager has to make the call whether to go or not go. In this case, they decided not to go. Thus it got pulled. Now, when that call was made is certainly not known. Let's hope they weren't playing games with the subs, but told their customers as soon as they reasonably could. But, we will never know.
  15. I would wait until "prime time" for your timezone, times when you play the most, and then check this page out Server Status and see which ones are Heavy and choose one of those.
  16. You really only have two options. Stay where you are and play it as a single player game 95% of the time or reroll on a high pop server and enjoy more group content. Well, there is a third, you could not play the game, but that's not what you are asking.
  17. What? What is your problem? lol, j/k. I did like the "flamed to crispiness" comment. Sorry, no help from me, just wanted to say the above in reply to your comment.
  18. You will see from the link in my sig that I have had some questions about end-game as well. There is definitely a disconnect. You are not alone with your concerns.
  19. EVE... ugh... That's one direction I would hope SW never takes. The learning curve is a sheer rock face! However, as far as 1.3, is there any possibility that they are close enough for some sandbox elements? Macros? etc...
  20. That sounds fishy.. Because Ghostcrawler has admitted that the players like the LFG tool in his post mortem for Cataclysm. Who would know better?
