  1. This has been known about and brought up by the playerbase since even beta, but has never been updated. I might be a tad off on the exact details, but from what I understand the reason this occurred in the first place was because the enhancements were all put in place on an older system design where there was more variety as to which main attributes each classes would use. They eventually simplified that system (warriors use str, inqs use willpower, etc.), and probably ran a script to update various enhancements as a result, but afterwards never removed any enhancements that then became redundant as a result. It's not gamebreaking by any means, but definitely annoying and was technically a waste of credits for those (most of us) who like to train everything.
  2. The system is RNG based littered with various bugs. It also generally gets more and more difficult to RE items the higher level an item gets. I can honestly say though, that is DOES indeed work (and I have done well with it), however it can definitely be frustrating when RNG hates you, or repeatedly get "you already know this schematic" messages. My advice would be to just keep at it and things should eventually turn around. Your other option would be to hold off and wait for patch 1.2 when the RE chances are supposedly improving and some of the bugs may be eradicated.
  3. I was probably around 30 mil before buying all the speeders and some crystals/recipes, so I'm probably down to about 18 mil now across all my toons. I've never done a daily, got all of that through crafting and taking advantage of people of post nice items on the GTN at the default value and then mark em up.
  4. You can just pretend that those planets have 7 suns, with perpetual daylight!
  5. With the speed boost, sorc/consulars can just BARELY clear it by jumping. Most times they just fall to their deaths trying it lol. Oh hey, might as well open the can of worms and let everyone know you can jump the ledge next to the air lifts in huttball the same way! You can also PULL your allies back over the gap too. That gap has benefits for both offence and defence. God forbid there is a little bit of diversity amongst classes...
  6. Title says it all. Assuming champion+ level pvp gear all around, is there any way at all? Some other healing classes seem to have options (orbital strike comes to mind) I think the highest I have seen is around 2.1k when all CD's are popped. Just curious if there is any solution besides trying to find someone in PvE gear.
  7. Tumult really should be made available for use In PvP. Healing Sorcerors/Sages I think are the only healing class who does not have a reliable ability to get a 2.5k hit on somebody. Put it on a 1 minute timer for all I care. In it's current state, yeah it's pretty useless. Can't be used in PvP and can't be used while raiding... hey, kind of like companions.
  8. It's really not that big of a deal. Also, where else would people be able to show off their caddie's? It was 10 times worse in WoW, @%@#%#@ dragons everywhere.
  9. Well that is when you find a more profitable item to craft/sell.
  10. Slicing is already an integral part of all crafting professions. It is the ONLY source of augments, which many crafted items require. It is also the only consistent source of crafting missions which expediate the supply of high end materials for all crafting professions. Sure, we would all like all of the gathering/crafting professions improved, but this is one of the few that is actually pretty damn good even in its current state. In fact, its really the only profession that brings added value to all other professions.
  11. You can't end something that never began in the first place.
  12. Teamviewer is probably one of the better known free remote desktop applications out there. Works from a PC or your phone. Granted, it's laggy as hell (which is common due to the 3D rendering and such) so you can't do much more than log in to send companions on missions, but it gets the job done.
  13. About sums up my experience as a healer as well. Btw, there is no damage debuff otherwise it would sort of make the healing debuff entirely pointless now wouldn't it? The debuff is there in order to create some balance.
  14. Actually no... I bet now people will just get their 4 medals then look to finish the warzone as quickly as possible. Sure, to some that means work harder at the objectives... but to the vast majority I bet it means they will throw in the towel to end the match faster. Where's the incentive to win when the rewards upon losing are THAT good... better than winning now? Not my mentality, but playing devils advocate.
  15. My only suggestion would be if you are not hurting on credits, price up the crap out of it and see if the market bites. I was happy when I mastercrafted a biochem implant and it sold for 150k... rather quickly. My next crit I put up for what I thought was a crazy amount at 400k, and is still sold quickly... then I put up another for 500k and it STILL sold quickly... That's the funny thing about supply and demand on an open market. The value is whatever somebody is willing to pay for it at that moment. It's a gamble either way if you sell it now or wait to sell it later. That's also the fun part though!
  16. Yes, there are some odd bugs with diplomacy missions fails providing odd decimal level alignment changes. The good news is, besides the visual annoyance it will have no impact on getting a final alignment. Once you reach 10k in either direction, any amount of that will start substracting from the opposite alignment until it reaches a flat 10000/0.
  17. Well whether or not you think its worth keeping is entirely your call, but yes what you have is "pretty much it". There is little/no profit in sheer credits from running missions, but there is quite a bit to be had from 49 epic augments and one time use crafting missions you get. Getting to 50 will also make it easier for you to farm high end world lockboxes as well. Is it better or worse than some other profession? That question is open to interpretation. I personally like slicing, have done rather well with it. Given your 3 professions, you are missing diplomacy in order to supply the blue/purple mats you'll need for high end biochem. If you drop slicing, that is a solid option (but so it simply getting an alt to level 10+ and leveling it there).
  18. I was doing rather well on my Artifice alt selling enhancements around 75k per. Then I found out that people are willing to pay in the 400-500k ballpark for mastercrafted implants so looks like biochem wins yet again... This is how things are on my server now. May not be tomorrow or next week. That's the funny thing about crafting, is that the need is ever changing. There is profit to be made with all professions, just comes down to researching yourself a niche.
  19. I got a few of the crystals to RE to the epic version, but then I realized that people on my server are selling the crystals for less than the mats to make them... so then I stopped caring entirely. I've been doing well on certain enhancements at least.
  20. The only thing I will give the OP is that slicing pre-nerf used to be super awesome in generating credits even while leveling. I know personally it paid for all my class skills and such w/o ever even visiting the GTN. It is still quite good if you consider the gathering aspect while leveling up, but the other rewards are pretty much garbage until you are close to maxing the skill out and get the high end rewards when you get the epic 49 augments and 340 missions. At least the good news is, running missions is minimally "credit neutral" so you don't have to worry about it draining any credits while leveling it up.
  21. How are gathering crew skills money sinks? Unless you personally like to run the missions and then pay somebody to take them the rewards off your hands, they are the exact opposite... profit generators. They are not all necessarily equal, but I guarantee they can all be profitable.
  22. As suggested, read the other threads linked. I've done all of the gathering professions, and slicing I am personally still the happiest with. It's free credits out walking around, it amplifies the rewards of other mission types, and the augment market is currently booming and will only get better. Not sure what else one could ask for.
  23. I've noticed some similar types of oddities/bugs when queing up multiple crafting items of various quality types. Sometimes when you log off or change locations, the order they were queud up in entirely changes (it seems to re-order them based on the time it takes to complete them, so Purple > blue > green) I have not noticed or experienced any sort of material loss or gain in the process but the issue may be related. Good chance I just was not paying attention to the quantity of materials since I tend to carry quite a bit. Also kind of reminds me of another bug I've noticed. Every once in a while when I zone into a WZ I get a slicing mission reward returned. This wouldn't be so odd except that I already have all 5 companions out and their timers had not yet expired. There are quite a few little issues like this scattered around, they just tend to get reported and added to the pile, someday they will be fixed I'm sure.
  24. Seems about the same as before, RNG is RNG. For instance, I just went from green > blue > purple with 3 or less RE's each step for 3 artifice enhancements in a row. At the same time, I've been working on a snythweaving pattern for over 2 weeks and probably 0 for 75 at this point. Sucks, but at the same time I think it keeps things interesting with regards to the market. I honestly just find it best to only use my own mats when crafting as opposed to buying them off the GTN. This way with bad luck you are only taking a hit on time, not in credits. I can see how this can seriously suck for those that have one crafting profession, going for one specific item. Having a bunch of alts for some variety definitely helps to smooth out the randomness a bit imo.
