  1. Just a question. You say you raid for fun & to have the best loot. How does a solo player getting the same loot from alternative methods affect your progression? You people are hilarious, you might think its a source of pride to say "this chest piece means I do hard raids!" but nobody cares. You want to prove how much cooler you are at every turn, la deee daaa
  2. I currently have a sith with 400 Artifice/Arch/Treasure, would it be worh it to get an alt with Synthweaving/x/x ? Or am i better off GTNing what i need...So many choices D:
  3. I dont mean to take a holier than thou approach, I just cant find the time to put in 4 hrs a day nevermind 6-7. My hours per day are typically: sunday-> 4ish hours, monday to friday -> halfhour to 1.5 per day maximum, saturdays often nothing. Maybe if you work fulltime and have little else going.on you could pack the hours in, or a teenager in highschool probably has ample amounts of time. /semi-jealous
  4. Ya fair enough, breeze to 50 then whine about a lack of content or the game is broken haha. Im in a career now working fulltime and i cant for the life of me envision having a level 50. Ive played often since i got the game and still only 3 1/2 days /played. I guess im just interested in knowing what these peoples lives look like, id love to have as much time as them haha
  5. I frankly dont understand, as a teenager i had two hours a night on average of free time; later it became work and then a bit more free time but still not enough to pack on multiple level 50's by this point. Ilove the game and nearly everything about it, I feel the hardcore complainers would share my view if they stepped back a bit. Quite an enjoyable game if you take your time, I plan on getting this char to 50 before starting a new one. Might alternte between imperial/repub to keep it fresh.
  6. This is precisely why i posted haha, Im in the same boat. Ive had a few days in the past couple months to get a solid gaming session in but otherwise its rare. Lately ive just been logging in, doing crew skills and playing the GTN, I have a pretty gnarly credit stockpile for only a lv37
  7. Lets start by saying this isnt a "brag about how fast and pro you are!!!" thread, Im just curious s to the pacing of the game and how much time the average player spends from 1-50. My 37 Marauder has 3days9hours. All professions higher than 380 mind you, and a bit of pvp but nothing extensive.
  8. I cant speak for your server but as a 379 artificer, I couldnt get a handle on Artifact Fragmens as quick as I needed them. Granted, my professions are two planets ahead of me so Im mining 190-220 stuff. Ive boughten about 40k of Grade Five Artifacts because the half hour missions often result in 6x parts or Failed @_@. I cant comment on Synthweaving, Artifice mods sell relatively well though. Im selling items for lvl43's at about 2500-3800 that cost half that to make. It seems money is to be made by catering to the people gearing up alts.
  9. I havent made it that far, but thats reasonable. Ive ran into two people in the past hour who said artifice was a waste of money. When I pressed one of them, he boasted about his massive 100k credit stash from pvpin... many laughs were had.
  10. Seems a large majority of players are hating on crew skills, specifically crafting. I run into people frequently who have no money due to X skill taking all their money with no profits. Im sitting at lv32, I dont spend money on gear that I will outlevel shortly, I have Artifice at 250, Arch at 255 & Treasure hunting at about 180. I bought an extra bagslot, speeder etc etc. the necessities. All this puts me at just a notch over 300k creds. Questing/spacemissions/GTN sales/random trades/GTNing all BoEs i find make well over 20k creds in a 2-3hour session. I guarantee thats the low end, too. Everytime i play, im doing Arch/Treasure missions. Treasure gains small profits but its consistent, Arch costs do dig into.profits but I see it as needed. While questing, people often ask for mods, crystals etc., the demand seems way higher than the supply. Ive made countless parts for groups ive been in, sold a heavy amount of relics and parts on the GTN that more than cover the costs. If you dont enjoy doing this, then yes, youre wasting your money. I cant speak about endgame crafting but I reckon there'll be a niche there needing to be filled as well. Not everything needs to be cut and dry to be fun, it is possible to make money, have fun and have a use as an Artificer :-p
