  1. It may be easier to just check the GTN for your proof but yes I can confirm that is how the process works. In artifice, I have RE'd many of the green gems to blue, and those subsequent blue gems to purle. In Bio I have RE'd a couple of the green 49 implants to multiple blue versions, and a couple of those blue versions into epic versions. In synthweaving I have RE'd the level 50 blue pants/helms to epic 50 items, then improved those epic items to various tier 2 epic items. Off the top of my head I have RE'd into the tier 2 prefixes for hawkeye, commander, anti-armor, and varacity... I'm sure I have a couple more as well. It just takes a lot of time, patience, and of course resources. Sorry I don't have a screen shot, I'm not at home atm to go make one. The first sticky on this forum is a rather extensive guide to the whole process.
  2. Specific patterns/recipes may be "broken" but I can confirm that many seem to be functioning just fine. In the last week or so I have gotten a few top end bio, synthweaving, and artifice RE's to proc. Sometimes its quick, sometimes it isn't. At this point persistence, luck, and variety seems to be the key. There may be a few particular items that are bugged but the system as a whole is definitely still functioning to some extent. I for one will not be avoiding it entirely, in fact I bet it is more profitable now than after they "fix it" and everyone and their mother will be crafting the few worthwhile items there even is.

    MVP votes

I have to admit, I'm one of those healers that don't "just heal" like some here. Some people will call this farming medals, but I consider it balanced gameplay and having more fun. I'd say in a average match I pump out about 250-500k healing, 75-125k damage, 7-10 medals, and almost always near the top on objective points and kills. There is more to winning than just healing. I think the trick is to always stick with the objectives, do just enough healing to keep people alive around me helping with objectives, then help to CC/kill whenever possible. The majority of my damage comes from throwing DoTs on people slowing them, then providing some additional burst to finish off low health targets. So yes, I COULD be doing more healing if that is all that I did, but believe me I work my *** off every match to put out those kinds of numbers. I average 2-4 MVP votes per match (also helps, that more times than not I'm the only healer). As a healer, I usually vote for the person I think contibuted and worked the hardest in the match regardless if it was a dps, healer, or tank.
  4. As pointed out, diplomacy is the easy mode way to do something like that. Would probably take less than a couple of weeks without any serious effort. For those who wonder "what's the point", it may be worthwhile for some completionists to do. If I'm not mistaken, minimally there is a title and a speeder for each dark/light V. There may be other rewards but wasn't paying attention... I am not one of those completionist types lol.
  5. It has to be random, otherwise the system coud potentially be taken advantage of (for instance, bringing only a particular class just so that specific class piece drops). Not something puggers would do, but something organized guilds would consider I'm sure.
  6. It's possible, just doesn't happen without some extra effort and/or luck. Here's some advice on how to get the medal. Simple, cheezy way -- Consume your health below ~60% before exiting the spawning area after some random death. (The 30% debuff is most likely worn off by the time you exit). Once you exit, pop recklessness (for a near guaranteed crit), a +power trinket, and a +power stim if you have it, then cast dark infusion. That should crit for around 5.5-6k in your gear. Harder, but legit way -- When below ~60% health, grab an expertise buff then similar to above pop all your cooldowns (recklessness, trinket, stim), and heal yourself with dark infusion. The should hopefully crit for just over 5k. It also helps to have the talent which increases +healing to yourself, but not 100% necessary. Now in full champion gear I can crit myself for like 6.2-6.5k without the debuff... over 5k without even blowing any cooldowns.
  7. Well let's put it this way, you having the worst night ever means some other people had their best night ever. It happens! I've gone both good and bad nights. Mostly bad and "ok" nights pugging solo, mostly good nights when organized in a group. That's just the way it is. For instance, on my server those that PvP on the republic side tend to be MUCH more organized and do extremely well, they will hardly ever lose to puggers and probably do extremely well against other premades too.
  8. "I got it in a box artifact from Corellia" That's the only comment I've seen about it, nothing I could validate personally though. Based on the BW response, whatever the item is just sounds like a random world drop within a certain level range (because I'm fairly sure 2 billion loot boxes have not yet been opened). 1 in a billion though is a tad harsh, not exactly something you can go out and farm lol. It's nice to know there are potentially a few items like that in the game though, makes it interesting to know there is a chance to find something that rare.

    afkers in wz's

I have this suspicion that the WZ afkers originally came from WoW.
  10. The side speeders are really the main problem. They should either take longer to land, or drop you off further from the turret so you have some ground distance to cover.
  11. It's not more efficient when you are waiting 10-15 minutes between warzones. Not everybody is republic on a high pop server now.
  12. There are other checks and balances that can be implemented to counter that one as well... such as a reporting vote/kick tool. Regardless of how many checks and balances you put in place though, there will always be ******es not willing to put the effort in, not much you can do about that aside question why such a sad individual would play the game in the first place.
  13. Na, pretty sure the I PWN one would be higher on most people's lists, right near the top just under "ROFLCOPTER"
  14. I ran into the same scenario last night, except they used force push to knock the ball carrier over their own goal lol, it was rather pro.
  15. Quite a few people are more interested in Valor than they are wins. Winning a WZ early unfortunately does not compensate well enough as opposed to riding out the timer and farming medals/kills for sport. The solution to that problem is to get into a premade yourself and avoid getting steamrolled.
  16. If you AFK in the corner, you probably aren't going to win the match. The deserter debuff still implies the requirement of winning the WZ for the daily/weekly. The deserter debuff would discourage people from leaving a match that is seemingly going to lose, or face a 15-30 minute wait before being able to re-enter a new match.
  17. In this case I don't believe there are any bugs, only misperceptions.
  18. Except that you can also cast bubble on somebody with heavy armor? Oh that's right, this game is built around 1v1, cause that happens ALL the time.
  19. It's also possible he just doesn't understand how resolve works. Particularly the fact that it has no impact on snares whatsoever. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=61363
  20. Not entirely true. Using 2 of the SAME relics share cooldowns. Otherwise, 2 separate champion relics can be used 30 seconds apart. As a healer, I use the +power one and the +alacrity one.
  21. That doesn't encourage anything except for people to get four medals... which is also a horrible horrible idea. Let's take a healer for instance... Stand in acid, heal for 30 seconds. - 2.5k medal - 5k medal - 75k healing medal Go find someone with 100 health left and poke him with a stick - killing blow medal Last 12 minutes of the match? Go AFK in the corner. I hate to say it, but the deserter debuff is really the only thing that makes any sense. Before they can implement it however, they need to build in some way to actually get back into the same match within a reasonable time in case of a random DC/crash.
  22. Guess he's complaining that on the 11th time, the guy finally stopped just standing there lmao. Of all the **** to come make a post about here... jesus.
  23. Luckily for a sorceror this one is much easier to accomplish. After some random death, I just consume my health below 50% before I can leave the spawning area and then blow CD's and such for an almost guaranteed crit ~6k. All of about a 2 second distraction, not detrimental to the course of the game in any way. In full champion gear I have legitimately gotten the 5k one time, so maybe once I'm in full BM I can more reliably hit that medal without cheezing the system, but until then there isn't much of a choice unfortunately. That 30% debuff is a *****.
  24. Well I'm not sure how my own personal reason for rolling a class could be invalid, but hey I'll go with that. Did you eat a pop tart this morning? If so, your reply is invalid due to the fact that pop tarts are op, which is the only reason to eat one.
  25. Correct, bolter is scaled for level 49 if I'm not mistaken. Probably nerfs level 50s by about 2% lol.
