  1. My opinion.. 1.3 has no eta. Tor in a year or so may be good but it's very lackluster and bland right now aside from class story. I've unsubbed and handed my guild over. I've preordered Tera after truly loving the combat and open world pvp. Diablo 3 is also just a fun game. Gw 2 I've been interested in for pvp as I played high ranked pvp in gw1 but I've not yet preordered. Talk will always be of new games and new features and what game will kill what, play what you like. Tor at this time isn't for a lot of people, move on.. You can always revisit it.
  2. A list (my opinions) as to why myself and most of my friends are moving away from ToR: Pros: Class stories, I'm not a huge rp'er or quester but the class quests were pretty solid. Cons: Content is much too easy. Planets are very linear and don't allow much exploration or diversion from the set lines. The mounts/weapons/armors are extremely bland. Tanking (I have 2 50 Rakata geared tanks) is very boring, you have very few cooldowns to manage and the majority is just RNG. Dpsing (1 Rakata geared merc) is.. "okay" I feel involved when I dps but at the same time it just doesn't immerse you in feeling like you're taking down a huge boss in front of you. Mechanics in operations are.. sad. Too much to elaborate on here sadly but they are just boring and way too easy. PvP.. c'mon.. aside from how unique hutt ball is the entire warzone system is really bad. Where are arenas or some small scale ladder pvp system. Dual spec.. c'mon. Server transfers.. I personally don't have this issue but there are enough people screaming for it that it should've been done already Getting gear.. wow. I was amazed watching the bosses fall for the first time and seeing 2 tier, 2 more epic of equal or slightly lesser level, 2 crafting mats, a pattern drop. This is insanely too much loot per boss. "Hangouts" this may sound lame and I hate to even bring WoW up in any statement but there was always a place to hang out that felt kind've fun to be at in WoW whereas the fleet on ToR is just so bland. (With this said I've been unsubbed from wow for 2 years and am not resubbing.) Races.. nuff said here. With SO much in the Star Wars universe that could've been added.. where is it? Where is the uniqueness to the game? There could've been tons of gambling and fun added to Nar Shaddaa. Tatooine could've had a cool mini-game of speeder races. The space combat could be improved drastically. You could've added SO many things to do with different walkers and turrets and different vehicles. Combat logs, this is huge as a raid leader and this new parsing information is a piece of junk if we're trying to figure out all the data necessary to solve dps issues. All this sums up to a simple "too little, too late" for me. I doubt anything in 1.2 will draw me to resub and I will probably move to try some of the other games releasing to spend my gaming time. I honestly tried to think of more "Pros" but, for me, there aren't any. Maybe in a year or two when ToR finds out what kind of game it wants to be it will be worth looking at again.
  3. Did the same, my server population is fine but the game itself is very stagnant right now. Just playing out my last 8 days and seeing if 1.2 hits before my sub is done.
  4. The lack of dev answers has prompted a lot of discourse and a lot of boredom in the community (stale pvp content, extremely easy pve content, a boring replay value leveling experience outside of the class quests.) I have 3 50s, all fully rakata geared and I consider myself a casual raider (2-3 times a week 2 hours at a time.) With 4 bosses coming out and no promises if true content in the near future this game has lost interest with a gigantic number of "raiders." I personally have canceled my sub for now and will maybe revisit if the game becomes a bit more solid or if EC is actually challenging. 12 days and no 1.2 to look forward to still.. I could care less about legacy seeing as how I play the game as a raider, not a career-leveler. Hopefully BW pulls it together and makes a decent game but for now it's just unplayable to true raiders. Being forced to farm the same content for an additional 2..3?..5? months for the next operation is just silly.. 4 bosses is a joke.
  5. 3 fully rakata geared 50s. Pvp is only mildly entertaining for me. Raiders finding better things to do than raid stale, easy content. I unsubbed when I saw only 4 bosses in EC. I will reup if 1.2 poses some actual challenge but it's not looking good. I have too many nit picks with this game for it to be fun.. Bugs, no dual spec, bland armor, no arenas, bugs, bugs... Bugs. How long does it take to fix soa or puzzle in ev? They still break after over 3 months.
  6. I think for the next Q&A it should be heavily focused on true endgame topics and put to rest some of the legacy hype. We understand legacy stuff is coming.. but for those of us that already have the alts we want it means nothing. Our focus is endgame and I know there's a mass amount of people begging for true answers about the endgame content. I am sick of spending 100k credits per respec on my mercenary to accommodate my ops groups. Dual spec is a HUGE pressing matter which has NEVER been given a timeline. Is it really necessary that my agent will be able to force choke someone during heroic moment but when I need to respec dps for my ops group I have to blow 100k credits? Let's get some true answers going, PLEASE. Dual spec, ETA? Endgame content, 4 bosses? Will the boss encounter number ever be something real raiders can get into? Offering up an op with 4 bosses but adding a 16 man world boss does nothing for 8m ops guilds. Arenas? Server merges? Population on my server (and I'm sure others) has been dropping drastically, is there any plan to merge the smaller into the larger? Let's get a dev on this, screw the legacy Q&A and give the endgamers something to actually look at.
  7. Okay? Last I checked the Q&A's were never limited to 1.2. We are talking about the continuation of where this game is headed. Nothing about my comments are/were hostile, they are purely for knowledge and what my guild and raiders are all concerned about. Since the start of my raid leading in ToR I've had 14 people (almost all of them friends from other games) unsub because of content being too easy, bugs, server population, lack of organized small number pvp, or simple disinterest. The people I'm continuing to play with are all having the same questions and issues arise but we want the game to succeed so we continue playing and hope some of these very pressing matters get answered. If you're going to try and make a useful comment back to mine at least put it in context. Look over the last 2 Q&A's and see what % of each one was legacy, endgame ops, endgame pvp. It's highly favoring legacy which most end game people have little to no interest in. Hopefully a few devs find some time to answer these questions soon, I know it'll be much appreciated by the community as a whole.
  8. So much of the end-game is getting ignored in these Q & A's. We've yet to hear how the pvp system is going to advance.. will it ever have an arena system? 2v2, 3v3, etc? How about operation content. We started with EV and KP each with 5 bosses.. many have touted explosive conflict was supposed to have 6 bosses but it ends up being only 4 actual "boss encounters" because 2 are simply 2-boss encounters. Are we expected to truly progress and farm on such a small operation? As raiders we've all burned ourselves up on EV/KP and now what we have to look forward to is a smaller operation. The legacy system is fun but when it comes down to it it simply has no bearing in endgame and right now the endgame seems like it's being put WAY behind the "fun legacy" system you've developed. And number 2 that is a huge topic on forums and on servers is.. realm merging. Is it happening? When can we look forward to it? Populations are getting lower fast, some people are posting very sad numbers for their servers during peak times. While I personally commend you on an amazing launch and keeping queue times to a minimum it's obvious now that there was an overshot of servers and now the people on the very light servers are paying the price. Please give us more diverse answers, we love the game and we obviously want to be involved as a community but it's rough when the things we play the game for appear to be a much lower focus than other things. Summary: more answers about pvp endgame, operation endgame, server merges. Thanks.
  9. Just to bolster support for the merge.. my servers #s since launch to now.. Fleet (after the opening groupings in the first week actually got to fleet) started holding around 120-130 Mid january 190-250 Late january 150-180 Mid feb 140-160 Early march 120-140 Now.. at primetime as of last night.. 106 was the high between 7pm - 9pm server. We have issues finding pugs for most groups, I've cycled through 3 raid groups only keeping 3 raiders with me the entire process. People are quitting, it's apparent.. but there are lots of people on small servers wanting to play that can't because their numbers are awful. A merge helps this, a lot. Their biggest issue is legacy names, once they figure this out I'm sure merges will be coming. I'm desperate for 1.2 to be good and have a bit more end game to allure the raiders to keep playing but with only 1 op coming out and a 16m world boss it seems unlikely. All 8m nightmare content cleared, 3 geared 50s.. loving the game but needing more.
  10. Does not having a separate night/day based on server time bother anyone else? I absolutely HATE going to say Tatooine in the dead of night IRL and being blasted with that sunny desert. That's one of those small things other games put in that just made the immersion so much better.. for me at least.
  11. I'm sorry but this Q&A is absolutely terrible. Very little actual useful content as to what is coming.. there have been so many great questions asked and these are what we got to see? Highly disappointing.
  12. I've beta'd gw2 and was a high-end ranked guild leader for pvp on GW.. My personal experience from GW1 was the pvp was amazing compared to anything else out at the time, the pve was very bland, although pretty. So far GW2 is shaping up to have a lot of the same awesome features as it did in pvp that made it great but also a lot of relatively fun pve things. I expect it to have a solid player base, at the same time it's not quite the same type of game as ToR or WoW. I personally will get my PvP fix on GW2 because ToR pvp is very boring to me. Tera imo is awful, but everyone has different tastes. ToR has gotten better with every patch and as long as that trends I'll continue to play. Gl.
  13. We are having the exact same problems and agree heavily. Having so much of the same loot (Columi being the most prevalent) drop in FPs and Ops is just silly. It leaves little to no reason to run HM FPs and the difficulty is so stupidly easy that you really don't need that much to accomplish the Ops. I like the raid designs/mechanics (aside from the most buggy crap ever in EV puzzle/Soa) but the difficulty is so lamely easy. My 2 raid groups are banking heavily on 1.2 as I know a ton of other raiders are.. we want end game.. the story aspect is fantastic but it's a temporary draw to a game like this.. we need content. Good luck BW.. I truly hope this game stays afloat and becomes #1 because it's fantastic.
  14. So far I love the operations.. but their scaling seems very weak. Are we looking forward to a challenging operation soon with more than simply more damage in hard/nightmare.. maybe added mechanics? Thanks!
