  1. Huttball needs some shake up. I warned them in Beta that this turtling was going to happen, but again Bioware has the most experienced pvp team in the world, so who am I to question the almighty Gabe Amatangelo when it comes to pvp? The ball needs a hot potato debuff. The ball handler gets a 30 second safety buff and a 45 second kill buff. After the 30 seconds safety buff expires , the ball handler can not have the ball for 15 seconds else he dies. Or if one team is camping the ball, and are passing the ball back and forth, after 5minutes of not scoring, then the team gets killed zone wide and put back into the spawn.
  2. Yeah it goes both ways. My guild did not want to deal with no world pvp and so we switched to Republic, and like being outnumbered and always having people to kill. My leveling experience has been great as I have had plenty of imperials to kill since Tatooine. When I get to Ilum, I am looking forward to catching people slipping and killing those that roam away from the herd. Always knowing where a pretty good fight is and I understand that we might be outnumbered. That's how it is in World PVP. What should not happen, is Bioware implement any mechanics that force numbers balance. If you don't like being outnumbered on Ilum, then reroll Imperial. Everyone told us that if we didn't like playing Huttball 24/7 and having no one to kill on Ilum to reroll, and so we did just that. Now it's your turn.
  3. While some of the points were valid... this kid has only ever pvp'ed in WOW. Asking for world pvp to be "fair and balanced"? No.
  4. Because the head community manager Stephen Reid would rather tweet to his followers on Twitter than engage his community in the forums. That's the boss of the community management team. Someone who actually just avoids the community. You want to know why there is such poor communication from Bioware? Stephen Reid is your answer.
  5. Why does this make sense? People are allowed to ride their relatively massive speeders everywhere through the fleet ship, and just 'hang out look cool' but we can't use our speeders to get through the thousands of spaceports we must get through to actual get things accomplished (stupid corruscant spaceport nonstop for questing).
  6. What's with not being able to delete quests? That's a great UI you designed their Bioware. What happened to that huge polish "You won't release the game till it's ready" market speak before launch?
  7. There is nothing wrong with project, only your ability to use it. Having gone from a Sith Assassin tank, to a Jedi Shadow Tank, I love project way more than shock.
  8. yeah pretty much, Naga and you can macro everything you want.
  9. SWTOR will never have enough fans to warrant it's own convention.
  10. Bottom line is Bioware should have hired less voice actors and more coders. They obviously spent the lions share of the budget on the story, adn forgot the game pillar completely. As evidenced by: The Unresponsive UI Class Balance in Favor of Empire Pvp The UI (it bears repeating Uninspired End Game.
  11. This was huge during beta. All of the people talking about how they were going to play every single class, 3 times, to do LS/Neutral/DS (even though we now know the neutral was a lie). So how many people have rolled the exact same class, twice, all the way through and did Light Side on one, and Dark Side on the other? Were the stories remarkably different?
  12. You realize that just cause you think you're right doesn't mean you're right... right? I don't want to have to reroll constantly till I find a server that's worth sticking with.
  13. Yeah and the alternative is that those guilds just reroll and have to waste more time leveling up to get to a dead end game server. So still it's better for the players to allow them to transfer as they see fit to find world pvp instead of just keeping the servers the way they are.
  14. Yes well your anecdotal evidence aside, it would be good for players that want to actually participate in world pvp to be able to transfer to servers where it's happening instead of having to constantly reroll to find it.
  15. James Ohlen has already stated that: Obviously Bioware is at least marketing the game as a pvp game. Not just a pve game. Which is why it's important to allow server transfers so if your server is dead, you can swap to a server that isn't as dead instead of having to reroll.
  16. My guild is a world pvp guild. We were Empire and were tired of all the massive imbalance on our server DWC. So some of our officers went and researched for a good Republic Server and found HoG. We rolled republic there and when we get to end game, we are hoping that our server population will have enough to handle our pvp needs. What we aren't going to want to do is have to reroll to another server, again, to handle the server population problems. When is Bioware going to allow server transfers so the answer isn't always "don't like it reroll".
  17. Having to constantly re-aquire my focus target in warzones is fail. Focus target. Should stay focused. Not that hard a concept is it Bioware? Oh yeah on top of the fact people still getting into warzones and not showing up on raid UI. Does Bioware even have a UI team? Or Do they just have a pool of developers each with multiple responsibilities. It's time Bioware stops focusing all their cash on Voice Overs and Story Writers and try hiring some coders.
  18. James Ohlen, Lead Developer for SWTOr Gabe Amatangelo, Lead PVP Developer AND Lead Raid Developer...
  19. Makes about as much sense as James Ohlen saying his pvp team is the most experienced team in the world. Can anyone see any part (other than the guard/taunt) of pvp that doesn't completely resemble World of Warcraft? Does anyone know who else is on this "all star" pvp team other than Gabe Amatangelo? I would love to have a gander at the resumes of this pvp team. Possibly see where they went wrong in hiring certain individuals, and then helping Bioware hire staff that really understand pvp. If Bioware was serious about making their game about skill instead of gear, why not just give everyone Battlemaster gear when they hit 50, and then pvp could be about the actual skill and such, and people can stroke their e-peen with their pvp ranking.
  20. It's nothing like GW1 pvp. It's more like TF2 than GW1 Check for YouTube videos of the E-Sport Broadcasts at recent tradeshows.
  21. I absolutely love the trooper class period. I am currently Vanguard and love it completely. I will however make a Commando alt, just cause Havoc Squad owns all.
  22. Bioware has till April to fix PVP, then they have to start dealing directly with GW2. A game where all instanced pvp everyone has access to all the same gear and modifications. Where you just get the gear, and the differences between players in the battlegrounds is determined by team composition and individual player skill. Bioware made their pvp about the grind for gear. Even though they promised non-stop that their system was based on skill rather than gear (specifically said by Georg Zoeller on multiple occasions) they decided that the top rank pvp gear = win, and did not make it require skill to get. Just grind it, and you get to own every other person grinding for it. It's like what happens in WOW Arena, except on a much larger scale. Expertise = Resilience. Essentially. GW2 goes mass beta in April, and Bioware is going to get schooled in how to run an MMO if they don't get their act together.
