  1. Bioware proved that you don't really even need coders to make profit. Just hire animators, voice actors, and writers and you can make a profit and charge a subscription.
  2. I mean what does gameplay even matter honestly? SWTOR will forever be viewed as a success, because it broke even and then made profit. That's all other companies will look at. The success of Swtor. How a product that was not even ready, a mountain of bugs and "it's not broken, it's feature" and still is making profits. No matter what individuals think of it, as per the LA times Article SWTOR only now needs 100,000 people to keep making a profit, and it can do that easily. So no matter what you or I might individually think of the game itself, SWTOR is officially a success.
  3. I got the DE cause Stephen Reid told us during beta that we could mount at level 1... and then because every other triple A mmo on the planet allows for mount scaling. But it wasn't until release that Bioware proved it's game cheap knock-off of a modern MMO... with lots and lots of cut scenes.
  4. Stephen Reid told us we were going to be able to use the Speeders at level 1 (you know like Rift) and I kinda expected since it was a modern MMO that they would tie mount speed in with learned ability. The whole system is just silly.
  5. Just saying. Everything sits in the bank. On my alts I don't even bother any more. The speeder is useless when you get to 40 since Bioware decided to base mount speed per mount, not on riding skill (come on what is this 6 years ago?). Does anyone honestly think that the DE was a good purchase?
  6. GW1 had more MMO than this. GW1 actually required grouping for things. This game... not so much.
  7. I have a problem with both. There is no logic behind allowing you to adjust your queue in increments of .25 up to 1.0, but not continue up to the GCD of 1.5 It makes 0 sense. None. Why is there a .5 second gap in an already flawed system.
  8. Do you pvp a lot? Where most of these problems arise? It's a feature that breaks down quite a bit in pvp, you have to spam your abilities to make them work because that .5 second window is 100% wonky.
  9. They have the ability to take off the queue altogether. You can set it to 0 if you want to. I want to know why the ability to queue goes to 1.0 and not 1.5. What's the development reason for such a silly omission.
  10. No, the point is bigger than that. It's because you can't do it instantly afterwards that the .5 second window can turn into a several second window because of various UI problems, latency, and ability delay. If we could queue up immediately afterwards, then it wouldn't be a problem as much. In fact not knowing that .5 seconds causes me to have to spam abilities more than I need to especially in pvp to make sure I queue up. It's that unreliable.
  11. Are you being deliberately obtuse? It's not queueing up 2 abilities, it's hitting the button, then during the GCD hitting the next ability so that when the GCD is up this next ability fires off. And traditionally it goes by last ability hit. So if you hit another ability during that GCD then it executes that instead.
  12. No actually it's a result of Bioware not putting in the budget for coders and spending all their money on VO and Writers. They never allotted the time for coders to properly fix this.
  13. Having to fight with bioware's ability lag, and horrible UI lag, and basic latency problem, yeah it's kind of a big deal. Being able to queue up your abilities properly, actually helps for smoother game play.
  14. How bad is coding that it requires this kind of delay? I can't believe it's for server load.
  15. You can change it to 1.0, the GCD is 1.5, so you have to wait .5 before you're allowed to queue again. If you double tap an ability, like your default attack, it doesn't fire, then fire again. You have to press 1, then wait .5 then hit 1 again to queue it up. Of course that doesn't account for all the lag in the game which makes the queuing of abilities hit or miss at best.
  16. Bioware spent 200million on writers and voice actors. They forgot to budget money for actually hiring programmers.
  17. It just feels so unnatural. I should be able to hit 1 button, then hit the next button and it should be queued. Not have to wait .5 seconds so I can be within the 1.0 seconds before I can queue another ability. What's the justification to not being able to double tap an ability? Every single other MMORPG allows this to happen, why was Bioware not able to get yet another fundamentally simple mechanic to work in this game? Is this a fault on Bioware developers, or an inability with the HeroEngine? (like for some reason when you're running forward open windows it stutters your game, go ahead and try it, auto-run and then open/close your bags a bunch of times)
  18. They added the 4th pillar, at the expense of every single other pillar.
  19. You might want to do actually do research instead of pulling facts and figures out of thin air. http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/111549-SOE-Bids-Fond-Farewell-to-Star-Wars-Galaxies
  20. This is yet another thing that Bioware lied about. There is no matchmaking system beyond You got 8? We got 8? Let's fight.
  21. A team of 4 stomps a pug group 80% of the time. We told them this all through beta. I directly told Georg Zoeller this. Bioware knows that Rift suffered from this same sort of set up and it failed miserably there. Bioware chose to act like this. They knew the consequences, but felt this half premade vs pug was best for the game over all. Bioware and it's developers remain ignorant to pvp. Whether it's willful or not, Bioware has no idea what it's doing with pvp.
  22. I'm bored with doing it though. While I will continue to do it because winning is fun to me, I am trying to come up with a way of forcing me to do something different. Right now we just pass it back and forth but that mechanic is just, not cutting it. Perhaps then if the person that gets the ball gets a damage increaser and further snare after holding it for a time that doesn't expire till death or like 60 seconds? So if you're passing it back and forth you start taking more and more damage and people that are getting it passed start taking more damage so eventually your team gets wiped out or the other side gets the ball.
