  1. It's quite simple really, I love this game but the moment that they put 1 thing in a micro-transaction store that I cannot unlock without using the micro-transaction currency then I'll be gone. I don't care if it's something as large as HK or as small as a new haircut. I subscribed to this game on the basis of what the game promised and the subscription model, F2P may not break the game but it will break it for me and lots like me. There are games that are doing well after changing to F2P but each and every one that I played I dropped within weeks of them changing from P2P. I'm not the sort of gamer that changes on a whim (I stuck with EQ for over 7 years) but I simply won't tolerate being locked out of even minor content due to not wishing to pay on top of my subscription.
  2. I don't like F2P games, but I am willing to give them a chance. One thing that I stipulate to keep me subscribing though is that everything that can be bought with the new "Cartel coins" or other micro-transaction currency needs to be available to unlock either with credits or an unlock option (like the legacy system has) for those of us that have subscriptions, I am not willing to play a game that has items that can only be bought with a currency that requires cash transactions (or can be earned based on time played in a limited amount) on top of my subscription.
  3. That's because of 2 things, P2P players leaving and being replaced by F2P players (some stayed as they don;t mind either model) and the fact that there were a lot of life time subscribers who's contracts were honoured and they still get the same level of access as in the old subscription system without having to pay for microtransactions.
  4. It's a matter of perspective, it won't kill the game but it will change the player base. A lot of people here (including myself) will only use a subscription model for an MMO, this means going free to play will kill the game for me and a lot of others as we do not like that model. The game would survive the change as players that like F2P will come in and those that like P2P will leave. The real issue is that the players that have been here from the start that prefer a P2P will leave as they will no longer like the direction of the game and from a personal point of view it means losing a game we enjoy.
  5. You miss the point of a open forum, the moment you post something where someone can read it that person has a right to comment on your post, the only guide lines he has to follow are in the code of conduct for the forums, yes you have the right to tell him to mind his own business, but being an open forum he has the right to tell you that he won't.
  6. You realise that they are all base skills for certain classes don't you?
  7. That is now impossible with them concentrating on teleporting everyone everywhere from queueing systems, LFG teleport for Ops and FPs, PvP queueing system. To make the world vibrant they need to encourage players to travel around in it, it's not the NPCs that need to move more it's filling the planets with players that makes it more vibrant.
  8. Or maybe an endgame method of gearing up that doesn't involve daily quests at all, there is a novel idea.
  9. It's not a short cut it's a balance decision based around your class skills, who would equip a weapon and have half of their class skills grey out? Also if they start down that road then they will have to open the viability for force wielders to use vibro weapons instead of lightsabers. Personally I would like to see a close combat trooper wielding 2 techblades in combat.
  10. I agree with everything on your list but he one thing that is really important to this game that these replies seem to have skipped over is the continuation of the class story. There is not really much point in getting all of the things on the list if you have nothing to do except grind dailies.
  11. Even easier just add droid armour to the daily, tionese, columni and blackhole venders and allow people to spend their comms on different tiers of non-modable droid armour. Also add world drops of non-modable droid armour into the game (open world, flashpoints and operations).
  12. Because we use the FP HMs to gear companions when if full guild groups, but also random the FP in the group finder for the comms. Placing a limitation o not being able to roll on items your class cannot use would affect our setups.
  13. You missed the bit where we use the LFG tool for the daily BH comms as a full group and random the FP, so we would be bound by the rules set into it.
  14. Sorry, I don't think any of those are valid reasons for rolling need on an item that another member of the group can actually EQUIP right there. Under pre-established rules it is, so long as your group agrees.
  15. I disagree, with the agreement of the group you are with you should be able to do what ever you like, why should I pay for companion gear when I can farm it, I want my companions in full columni at the least.
  16. I cut my teeth on EQ1 back at the release of the 1st expansion in 2001, 6 months to get to level 20 playing 6 hours a day, the levelling was so slow in that game that they had raised the cap and added an expansion before you capped and when you finally got there you had 2000 AA points to collect. It took about 2 years to max everything back then, this game's levelling is as quick as blinking.
  17. I'd prefer to see them put the world bosses in open world non-instanced dungeons with mini-bosses so people have a choice between raiding and instanced operation or an open world dungeon. Let's give people a choice instead of just catering to one taste and generic.
  18. No more instances and teleports to instances please! I would like to see people on the planets and have vibrant worlds to adventure through not sit in waiting rooms all evening waiting for my turn in the queue!
  19. The problem with putting restrictions in place that prevent people from needing on things that they cannot use is that people form groups where they agree a rule set that will allow such rolls and discover that they cannot do it. I've been on plenty of guild runs that are to gear up companions, which we put in the group finder *** a full group to get out daily done.
  20. Agreed, I do each flashpoint and boss once to say that I have done it but when a flashpoint requires you to wear the armour that it drops to complete it then the risk is not worth the reward.
  21. Several members of my guild have the speeder, they were credited it because they had referred people previously, I'm not sure if they have credited any new referrals yet.
  22. It's closer to 6 levels, I was 5 levels behind content on my Shadow for my class quest and could still kill silver stars with my healing companion out (only the 2 lightsaber base attacks actually could hit and it took a long time), once I hit 6 levels nothing worked.
  23. That's a shame, I was hoping to add DPS armouring to healing shells for double set bonuses,.
  24. Being that the Republic and Empire are at war, looking too much like the opposite faction when wandering passed guards should get you shot.
  25. Add to that C2-N2 has a "main weapon" slot for one of his hands but can't use a weapon meaning only his offhand shield can be equipped, the main hand needs to be changed to "general/shield" so we can equip a non-combat mainhand.
