  1. I just stuck my DPS companion on him, kept her healed and the shot down the boxes as they spawned, the boxes short out his shield but it's his droid that replaces it. Take out the droid 1st .
  2. In fact you can queue as 8 and just random the Operation for your daily rewards.
  3. It goes to show some people are really stupid, you can put a group of 4 on the group finder and random your Flaspoint/Operation and get the daily reward. There is no need to queue as 3 and try to get the 4th friend in, and it is certainly bad play to kick people from the group to do so.

  5. Yaay more teleports... I am really going to unload some serious sarcasm on the next person that complains about the lack of vibrant worlds full of players when all that everyone wants to do is avoid travelling anywhere...
  6. The stats will be the same as on the mods, that doesn't change. The adaptive bit is the AC multiplier for mitigation. So for example in light armour the same armour mod may have an AC of 200, in medium armour 320 and heavy armour 450. If it's not adaptive it will keep the light armour multiplication on the armour rating of the armour mod.
  7. Matrix cubes are neutral, HM flash point relics are neutral, PvP relics are neutral, Operation relics are neutral, relics bought with daily comms are neutral. In fact the only relics that are not neutral are pre- level 50 blues and greens so you will have one slot free. If the problem is PvP then bolster takes care of it and you only miss a clicky, post 50 you have plenty to choose from.
  8. You only get one set bonus, I'm not sure which one would over write the other, the highest rated one is the ones that works though. If you put campaign armour mods in Rakata the armour mod set bonus overwrites the one on the shell due to it's higher rating.
  9. Watch the movie, make a coffee, go for a smoke, use the toilet and then come back and say "OK I'm ready now"...
  10. You can't force someone to push the spacebar, I watched every single cutscene the 1st time I played each instance. I would simply type in group chat "not done this one yet, watching the cutscenes" and then watched them. If you are playing the FPs on level and not doing the HMs at 50 then you should expect people to be watching the cutscenes as they are still levelling, at 50 most people have done all of the FPs and are just grinding them.
  11. Agreed, I for one would be happy if every single MMO released from now on was a niche game, it would at least provide us with a choice instead of homogenised rehashes of the standard model. This could have been a great niche game if they had concentrated on story through endgame instead of dropping the story and going for the standard model. It would have generated a different player base and not the standard crowd but it would have been sustainable, open world PvP instead of warzones, open world dungeons instead of Flashpoints and operations, world arcs requiring items and mobs from those dungeons and instead of adding new raids and warzones, sporting events like the hutball and Podracing and adding new quest arcs for items and gearing.

You're correct, but the whole point is that everyone views their 1st MMO as a great experience, regardless of what it was or how good or bad it was everyone got an emotional jolt a feeling of nostalgia from that 1st MMO. Most people now drift around as they are looking to recapture a feeling that they only felt in hindsight. My biggest gripe is that at 50 there is no open world content, no non-instanced dungeons, no non-instanced raid areas that you can explore. No open world contact with the opposite faction. Nothing to do in the open world once you hit 50 apart from repeatable dailies which are the very definition of the grind that they promised we wouldn't have.

I agree with the poster you are arguing with to be honest, I also play EQ from the start and it is that experience that I miss, WoW was simply too easy, too much of gaming on autopilot, too much concentration on endgame. It's not that I want a grind fest, what I want is a game that takes a long, very long time to level in but without grinding, a game where all of the content from groups to raids begin at low levels and are not all left until max level, a game with far more open world content and not one where every content is instanced with queues and ports to location to create an immersive environment, a game where people communicate with you and are in the game for the social aspects as well as the mechanical aspects. I could do without the camping of spawn points though. The whole "everything is instanced and you queue from anywhere and port to your group" is not a massive multi-player game it's a waiting room for co-op play.

I don't see that as a problem, I bought the game because I wanted to play a RPGMMO and this game successfully pulled that off from 1 to 50, if I just wanted to play an MMO there are enough to choose from I was looking for the game that put the RPG back into RPGMMO. I see the weak points of the game the fact that they dropped the RPG and went back to MMO content after 50. I would have much preferred longer quests a lot less XP when levelling so that it took much longer and the Operations spread out from level 20 every 10 levels until 50. There was absolutely no multigroup content below 50 other than world bosses. A scenario where only those that played 15 hours a day could reach cap before an expansion came out and the cap went up, perpetually being 10 to 15 levels under the cap but having raid content available for your specific level.
  15. The class story is great, it is the backbone of the game and gives one of the most enjoyable levelling experiences. The problem is that it spoils you, once the story is over you get dumped into traditional dailies to gear up to do Ops and HMs. If they had just done away with the dailies and simply added a class quest (with a high difficulty) that after completing it left you with a full suit of base purple armour to start with it would have been no disappointment. The level 50 FPs could give the next tier, then 3 tiers of Ops to reach the top, the let down is that HMs give the same as Ops kit wise and HM Ops are copies of story mode. They should have released more Ops in the beginning (say 2 at each teir) with no HMs just simply that the Ops get progressively harder and give different tiers of drops.
  16. Explain to me how that is possible, C2-N2 has no crafting stats what so ever, he is handy for crafting as it means you can send a full compliment of companions out and still play with one. Also you can max his affection with gifts so that he grants a presence bonus across the board.

  18. I would like to have seen more skills with more varied utilities and applications for each class and a skill bar limited to say 12 -15 skills. Make the skill trees passive boosts only and make it so that the the skill set thaty you slot defines what you are doing. For example 12 skills for PvP, 12 for soloing, 12 for buffing, 12 for group work, 12 designed specifically for DPS for non-DPS classes, 30 or so for DPS classes (of which you can slot 12) to modify what style of DPS you are doing. Re-speccing doesn't need to be bound to your skill tree but could have simply been reslotting skills on your hot-bars, they could have made separate hotbars for medpac, stims and clickies with different cool downs making them equip-able items instead of inventory items. It would have made it a very tailor-able system with lots of options for hybrid setups.
  19. The only thing that will keep me playing and paying a sub is if the sub comes with enough monthly free cartel coins that I never have to pay over my sub for anything I want out of the shop. I don't mind having to save the coins up for a month or 3 to buy everything the shop has to offer but it should not end up that you can but 500 coins for $10 but only get 50 coins a month with a sub. I don't want to and will not pay extra for anything above and beyond my sub and I don't want to be shut out of any content including cosmetics/pets ect due to the fact that I will not pay extra for them above my sub.
  20. Which will cause a massive demographic shift in players, people like myself will leave and others will replace us. You will see more players but I am looking at it from my own (selfish) personal point of view, at the moment it's my game, the one that I play, it seems that soon it won't fit that ideal any more. Which I find to be a shame.

There in lies the issue, it all depends on what you consider to be content, I have guild members that consider it a matter of pride and achievement to have hunted down and collected every single vanity pet, every single datacron, every single mount and every single Codex entry in the game. It's not my style of game but people are going to be very upset after spending a lot of time killing world bosses multiple times for the speeder or camping egg spawns for the pet or grinding the rakgoul plague for the pet if those things or the equivalent go up for sale for $10 in a store.
  22. You're probably right, but I've been here since the 1st week and play with a great bunch of friends and am just holding onto that forlorn hope that they won't mess it all up.

For me it's not about P2W it's about having content available for cash that I cannot unlock through game play or buy with comms, if they want to put the battlemaster chest piece up for $20 or 200 WZ comms cool. If they move it so it can only be bought for $20 then I'm gone. This counts for all things even as simple as a vanity pet, a mount or even a new haircut.
  24. We'll see what happens, the demographic of the player base will change as those, like myself, who will not play a F2P game leave and others that want that style of game flood in. It's quite a sad day for me to be honest, I like the game, am in a great guild of friends and was hoping to subscribed for a long time to come. The day the F2P store goes up with items I can't unlock through game play or purchase with standard credits (or earn-able currency such as comms) is the day I cancel and look for a different game.
