  1. Definitely, after all it won't impact game play...
  2. I have a proposal as a happy medium, what if everything someone bought through MT comes with a big green fluorescent unmissable dollar sign on it so we can see the difference between what's been bought and what's been earned?
  3. Not to mention things like a droid on your ship to sell items, repair and buy "unique items" and a GTN on your ship.
  4. In the same way it would upset the PvP players if I could buy a PvP ranking for cash it would upset someone that has worked to achieve a status symbol. A title or PvP ranking have no effect on your game play they only display to the rest of the players that enjoy that side of the game how much effort you have put in. Same goes for legacy unlocks.
  5. I totally agree, on the subject of the vanity pets it does have an effect in game as that would be akin to selling the new Rakgoul pets or the green-black lightsaber crystals for real world cash. People have worked for and achieved them they would be up in arms if you could just but them a week later.
  6. People thought the servers were empty before, wait to see what happens when MTs do come on the scene...
  7. Don't start insulting, it's not about equipment, it's about effort and achievement. My examples were of things that needed to be achieved in game by time and effort, legacy is the same principle, the rewards are different but the effort is still there. By making the MTs then you are paying instead of playing, buying instead of putting effort into acquiring them. Again it's not the reward but the principle that I am discussing.
  8. Just like with the vanity pets people are collecting such things are seen by the people that work to achieve them as a status symbol for them to wear, to me paying for a Miralukan Sith instead of earning it is like paying 10 bucks to increase your PvP rating on the leader boards, it has no effect on your character but it is something earned and to be proud of.
  9. Why not drop another 20 bucks for Blackhole equipment per piece, 10 bucks for companion faction, 15 bucks to max a crafting skill, if I pay 50 bucks can I start at max level??
  10. A lot of people left when LotRO brought out skirmishes as it broke the depth of the game, they went F2P with micro transactions not P2P with micro transactions and when they changed they gave all existing subscribers silver, gold or platinum accounts with varying content depending on their subscription (life time subscribers got all MT stuff and all new expansions for free as part of their existing contracts). Only new subscribers had to go the pay to win route.
  11. 1, 2 & 3 are not micro transactions but customer service deals and changes in your account not in your game itself. 4, 5 & 6 are micro transactions and will spoil the game, things like vanity pets and "fluff" people work hard to get and see as status symbols. Nothing in game should be buyable with real money, changes to your account are not in game and I don't really care about.
  12. That situation is very rare, class quests are designed as solo quests that you can bring other players along to assist the person doing the quest. It's only the class quests that cannot be shared in any way. The reason it's rare is that it is very unusual to find 2 players of the same base class, doing the same section of their class quest and on exactly the same quest. To be honest it very rarely crops up.
  13. I remember every planet being tough to break into, I turned up slightly under levelled each time. But by the time I got to the end of the 1st area the rest was plain sailing. My advice if you are dying that much is to go back to previous areas, do some heroics, side quests that you missed, get commendations, upgrade your gear and the gear of your companion and get at least one more level. Then go back and you should have an easier time of it.
  14. One thing you may need to consider, if you already owned PvP and PvE suits of armour pre-patch you would have had to have the original mods in them for them to update to the new status. If you switch one mod or Enhancement out in your battlemaster set it will not have updated to the new format and the armour slot will still be fixed.
  15. I've not bought it and have a few questions; you can't use it in combat but can you (like you can with a speeder) use it outside of combat and keep running after you get aggro? Can mobs "knock you off" your rocket boost?
  16. That's irony at it's best, the way the game is set up all the major cities are ghost towns because the fleet exists, the fleet isn't a major city but the "guild hall" style area that has replaced them.
  17. ?? Sawbones solos dailies very easily and can even stealth through the Belsavis heroic "communication fault" My set up of Akaavi Spar with just a touch of healing can solo 4-5 mobs at a go.
  18. To be honest on the starter planets the taxi system is good enough you don't need a speeder, also due to mob desity you'd spend 90% of your time being knocked off. The 1st time you really need one is Tatooine. I can see your point from the perspective of running an alt through the same planets but when it's your 1st time on a planet I think running by foot is a much better way of exploration. Maybe a legacy unlock to supply an alt with an early speeder?
  19. I agree, those people that change careers go back to school, do on the job training and start at the bottom of that new career. I'll support this, an AC change means you start the same character again at level 10 and re-choose the AC. Once you've done that you may switch between them.
  20. So you would argue that they should make this an option every-time they release and expansion or major patch that rebalances classes?? So basically once a month then?
  21. I understand the paradox, but it is just as logical as being able to marry them in your story line and have a different wife listed at the same moment in your family tree. Something needs to be done to bring it into line, also I doubt many people play the same class twice. I would also like to have the ability to add other players into my family tree and network multiple trees.
  22. Is your companion active while you have rocket boost on? Can you be "knocked off" like you can for vehicles? If yes to the companion and no to "knocking off" then it seems quite handy for boosting past bottle necks of mobs.
  23. 1st off you are making the assumption that the extra 8 hours of the 24 that would be used for sleeping was not during downtime. 8am -4pm is work/school time during the week so as good as irrelevant. To be honest if I knocked your coffee over and bought you a new one and you gave me this attitude the 2nd one would be poured in your lap.
  24. I don't see the issue, the game doesn't assume that your spec is 100% healing, the stats on the gear allow for variations in your specs, if you want to tailor it for you specifically then you have to tweak it a bit.
  25. The problem is lack of choice and that is a product of commercialisation. Game companies are no longer happy with 500,000 subscribers they want many millions, as a result they turn out generic games that are all the same to try and please the majority. If games were not so commercial then they could produce different games and let people gravitate to what style they prefer.
