  1. I know this is a MASSIVE necro, but I quit playing and returned recently and just wanted to set the record straight. Wasn't even aware this thread lived on any further beyond what I saw earlier. Sorry:jawa_tongue: No, I'm not planning any "published usage", how would one make money on this anyway since every class and expansion storyline has already been posted to YouTube several times over. This is for my own sake, because I like to replay games I think has a good story, but seeing as this is an MMO it will one day die and be permanently unavailable to everyone. As is the fate of every MMO. And seeing as these first few planets are so crowded, the only times I don't have the sounds of jetpacks, mounts or level ups going off in the background (which I find incredibly annoying) are in the early hours of the morning. The only reason I find these sounds annoying is because I'm a perfectionist. But it works out somehow, I got a job where I work day, evening and night shifts. So I just burn through these starter planets when my day/night cycle is turned towards a night shift. It's only really a problem for the first two planets anyway, after that it's either low planet populations or a PvP instance to choose, which is usually lower populated. If I ever uploaded any of this to YouTube or anywhere else, it would just be to have another backup in case of a harddrive crash or something anyway. But I doubt I'll ever bother with that, because that's a lot of editing work. Hope this answers your question and allays your suspicions. PS: BioWare don't mind people uploading clips of their gameplay. It's only a problem if the clips contain music that they don't have the rights for, beyond what we see in the game. Such as the scroll text music in every class intro. PPS: Sorry for the necro. Just wanted to set the record straight. Won't go raising any other corpses, promise.
  2. That is true, but that could be just a result of the inflation as well. That each credit is worth less. Besides, if no one bought anything there wouldn't be any spammers.
  3. I know right? Something must be done about this!
  4. The funny part is that it's the fault of the playerbase in the end. There's enough people buying credits for there to be a market. The more spammers you see, the more people are buying credits.
  5. Yup, alas there is no offline mode. Woe is me! Wouldn't be a problem if I couldn't hear them in the cutscenes/dialogue though. I actually used to play on Tomb of Freedon Nadd but when they made all servers the same (PvP and PvE) I hopped to TRE, because I worried that they would merge the servers since TOFN was more or less dead. Since I'm very nitpicky about my recordings I wouldn't wanna risk having to change the name of the character halfway through due to a server merge. Yeh I usually spend time in the PvP instance, but there's no PvP instance on the first two planets. Thanks for the advice anyway. Already finished that game. Love the story element of this game. Don't really mind other players though, if only I couldn't hear them in the recordings I make.
  6. Am I the only one that think the first two planets are crowded as hell? I play on The Red Eclipse and if I want to get anything done on Korriban/Tython/Hutta/Ord Mantell and Dromund Kaas/Coruscant I have to play between 2am and 7am. I should probably add that my main reason for complaining is that I record all my dialogue, and seeing as you hear other players when you're in a cutscene or dialogue (but you don't see them) it kind of "ruins" my recording. If I didn't hear anyone it wouldn't be a problem, but when I hear rocket boots, level ups and the ordinary stomping around it kills my recording. Granted this is a luxury problem. A ghost town of a server would probably be worse for most people. I just think the threshold for opening new instances is a bit too high, around 150 players or something? On the small starter planets it's already crowded at 50 since everyone is doing the same few missions. My wish upon a star would be that there would always be at minimum two instances (which there is on faction shared planets due to the PvP/PvE instances) so that I could always pick the lower populated one. I love the game, but I'm the worst kind of anti-social basement dweller despite living on the second floor. Oh well, guess I shouldn't complain.
  7. Baaaaw.. Oh well, thanks for checking anyway..
  8. I'll keep my fingers crossed then. I really want a "skin" colored Zabrak BH. But I don't want the republic one since rounded horns are for wimps
  9. Hello There's a bug for the "imperial" zabrak, where they have 8 skin colors for Sith Warrior and Inquisitor, but only 7 colors for Bounty Hunter and Imperial Agent, and each one is double. So it's 14 skin colors, but only 7 unique ones. This has been around forever.. Since launch I think, and it has been pointed out again and again. Quite frankly it's embarrassing that it hasn't been fixed yet. Granted I don't know much about game development but this can hardly be a difficult fix. Here's an example. http://imgur.com/72r0PcB Notice the number of the skin color, it's 1. Now here's a bounty hunter. http://imgur.com/6BwXNqa That is also skin color 1, but it's obviously not the same as the other one. There's also more skin color options on the second one. But as previously mentioned it's 7 unique ones, just duplicated. Here's another post from TWO YEARS AGO where a BW employee replied and passed it onto the team who apparently couldn't care less about the whole thing. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=713930 While we're at it here's some other old ones: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=737428 http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=735978 I can't fathom WHY the small bugs are NEVER fixed. I know big bugs that prevent people from playing and whatnot are a higher priority, but at some point all of these minor bugs will keep piling up until the game actually looks bad. Which is a shame because I do enjoy this game. But I run into tiny bugs all the time, then I report them. Then I might drop the game for a year or something, then I come back and run into the same *********** bug again! Are small bugs that are ludicrously easy fixes just ignored?
  10. Well then I have my answer, I thank thee. I'll make a cyborg bounty hunter or something instead then, since I don't feel like being a red or orange zabrak bounty hunter. And the republic tattoos are bit "meh" compared to the imperial ones.
  11. Thanks for all the replies. I am aware that the Zabrak species is split into two "tribes". One for each faction. With the main differences between the two (in-game) being skin color, type of tattoos, eyes and the horns. But for the Sith Zabrak (warrior or inquisitor) they are able to pick one ordinary skin tone, a "human" skin tone if you will. As you can see on the screenshot I added in my original post. I'll add it again here for easy access: http://imgur.com/72r0PcB Now compare it to this one and note the "number" of the skin tone. http://imgur.com/6BwXNqa They are identical in the "numbers" used to create them, but for some reason skin tone 1 for Sith classes is a "normal" skin tone, while for non-sith imperial classes 1 is a blood red type. What I'm hoping is that with the unlock, that the 1 skin tone not available to the Bounty Hunter and Imperial Agent will be available. Much in the same way that the dark red twi'lek skin color becomes available for the republic side if you unlock the twi'leks.
  12. Heyo.. I was hoping someone could answer my question. I'm considering a Zabrak bounty hunter, but to play a zabrak I'd want the normal skin tone. As those red/orange ones scream a bit too much "sith" for me. But on IA and BH there aren't the usual 8 skin tones for SW and SI, instead there are 14, actually 7, just duplicated for some reason. And the one I want is the missing one of course. So I had a question, if I buy the unlock for Zabraks for 1.5 M credits. Can I use all the skin tones or will I just end up losing the money for nothing? If someone could confirm 110% that I'll be able to pick this skin tone: http://imgur.com/72r0PcB For a Zabrak Bounty Hunter, with the legacy unlock that would be swell. Ain't rich so wouldn't wanna waste the money. Thanks in advance
  13. So I just reached the point where I get Jaesa Willsaam as my companion and something is off about her. Here she is just standing around on the ship. http://imgur.com/laZcval So far so good. Then I tried talking with her and she suddenly became very self-conscious about her appearance. http://imgur.com/69VfOsT Starting to get suspicious here. So I lent her my chest piece. http://imgur.com/JZXMId4 Nothing out of the ordinary. Then I tried talking with her. http://imgur.com/Axwmb5I Starting to get somewhat annoyed at this behavior I decided to ask Vette for her vest. http://imgur.com/KHdZfyr *Take off my what?* Trying it out on Jaesa, removed everything else to see if any of that could be the cause of the problem. http://imgur.com/mNLPRVm Well ****.. Apparently she had a white shirt lying around.. http://imgur.com/0a95Q1B Tried several other chest pieces too, she found something new to wear for everything. Can you guys have a chat with Jaesa and tell her she has nothing to be ashamed of. And that even if a little skin is showing she doesn't have to copy textures from her chest onto her arms or stomach. That would be great, thanks. PS: Decided to take a stroll and have a chat with someone else. Apparently here, she has no problems baring her midriff. So seems to be limited to the ship conversations. I can't tell if it would affect conversations outside of the ship as it's the first conversation with her, and as such it can't be done anywhere else. Won't complete the conversation until the bug is fixed since I'm recording this, so alas I'll have to ignore her for the time being. http://imgur.com/E97lxHU Itty bitty spoiler warning for the Sith Warrior storyline in that image. What I know: -It's only affecting Jaesa. Vette and Malavai are unaffected no matter what armor I put on them. -Jaesa is not affected in conversations not related to her, meaning she can stand in the background of other conversations without the texture glitch. What I don't know: -Whether this affects Light Side Jaesa as well, since I have Dark Side Jaesa. -Whether it is related to the specific dialogue or location, since I can't try to talk to her outside of the ship. Since she just requests speaking to me on the ship when I'm outside.
  14. Just pointing out that this has still not been fixed as of 4.4..
