  1. http://pc.ign.com/articles/121/1219843p1.html Have faith guys! BW is historically a great company, and they make some pretty BA games imho. Give them time, and they WILL address any and all issues. YES, it is a bitter pill to swallow to think that a game is not perfect at launch, and that it may take MONTHS in order to make it perfect, but really, when you take EVERYTHING that goes into game design, balance, and engineering; that is not bad at all. Thanks Bioware. Keep it up!
  2. If you are on Huttball, try your hardest to fight on the ramps. NEVER stay on the ground. This way you can trinket-jet boost the stealther off the edge and rain fire on them outside of their range. On any other map... try not to turret/tracer from an isolated location. Be aware of your fastest routes to other players for assistance, and get into the habit of dropping stealth scan on yourself before you start attacking from a specific location (use this ability as much as possible - cost 0 heat and can only benefit the player). If you get jumped, trinket and shield ASAP, because you are going to get instantly stunned again (If you can, try and get your rocket punch knockback before the stun). You should be able to survive the stun lock. Jet boost when the lock is over. At this point, I usually try to draw out their interrupt with a tracer cast, and then cure/heal self. Surviving the initial lock is key to winning this fight. If you can get that part down, you can easily burn them down since they are squishy. Tips: 1) Apply a DoT as soon as you are ready to start your damage rotation to keep them from stealthing. 2) Never discount stealth scan. Be ready to use this ability as soon as you are jumped by a stealther (most likely to re-stealth when they are on the ropes, or after you create distance). 3) Use rocket punch and jet boost when CDs are up to keep range. 4) Always use your teammates! If you fight alone, you will most likely die.
  3. Unfortunately, there is no real way to fix issues caused by latency. The only thing that would "Fix" the issue would be to allow the offending player to select a KB destination (similar to how we select an AOE location). This would remove the positioning requirements however, since you can place your target wherever you want. Best thing to do is just learn to anticipate where your target will be in 1-2 steps. Fire your KB a 1/2 second faster than you normally would, and your targets will start going where you want them (at least it works for me).
  4. This. First of all, I've NEVER had a human response from a ticket. Second, I have NEVER seen any improper English or grammar in tickets. Those images are fake.
  5. "Officially" according to whom? I thought you ran some numbers and may have had some spreadsheets and graphs to illustrate your point, but all you gave me was TEARS!!! You sir, are fired... pack your things.
  6. Tried to make a pass to a friendly target right in front of me because I had 3 enemies incoming who I thought would try to CC me JUST BEFORE THE LINE to score the winning score in Huttball... friendly target decided to force leap right before I passed, and I threw the ball on the ground a few steps from scoring
  7. I'm thinking it won't work. It probably will only pop when the damage "Ticks" while channeling. I think this skill would be a LOT better if it just did all the damage as a burn DoT, so instead of having to channel all the damage, we can simply use FT to apply the DoT, and continue on our business as usual.
  8. I didn't realize it did elemental damage! I guess I could try using it as a stealth popper if my... stealth detection ability (forgot the name)... is on CD. Anyone tried spinning in circles while using it to try and pop stealthers? lol! (Janky Merc flamesweep FTW?)
  9. Does anyone actually use this skill in PvP (or PvE for that matter?!) I think I have used it in PvE when I have two or more targets lined up. Otherwise, it is completely useless.
  10. hahahaha! I thoroughly enjoyed that read! I feel the same way friend. Well put.
  11. shhhhhhhh! Don't be like that kid that reminds the teacher to collect homework at the end of class. It can only be a benefit!
  12. You are the 1% my friend. The game is designed to be entertaining to the majority. They have to fix issues that the majority of people are experiencing. Slow your roll next time and mix in some other games into your daily schedule. What you need to understand is that BW has a limited amount of resources to be put into managing new content (for both pvp and pve), balancing classes, fixing bugs, etc. etc. There is a very small fraction of people playing this game that have gotten as far as you have. If they use their resources to address the problem that you have created by playing too much since launch, the problem will only continue. If they add another dungeon, I'm sure people like you and your guild will clear it in less than a few days. If they make the dungeon so difficult that it takes people like you over a month to clear it, then MOST of the people who play this game will likely NEVER experience the content. In business, you want to use your resources to maximize profit potential. Thus, changes that affect the majority take precedence. I'm sure lots of great new content will come in time, but since the game is new, resources will most likely be going to bug fixes and balance. Proceeding to tell me that your "Skills" got you to where you are, and that your playtime has nothing to do with it, is useless. Mix in a bit of "Dark Souls", and I guarantee you will be busy for MONTHS!
  13. If BW decides to give me free gameplay time for X amount of testing hours per month, then sure I will test their product and give them constructive feedback. As for free testing? No. That should not be necessary. They should have a dedicated test team if they can't muster up a strong enough free testing team. When my team and I release software upgrades to our clients, we THOROUGHLY test things before release. It is EMBARRASSING to release a "final product" with bugs. It is poor business practice and lowers the confidence of the client in the contractor. That is how you lose clients. Now I understand a video game such as this has a LOT of detail, but come on. The bug had a direct relationship with what they were trying to fix! It is an OBVIOUS error that was found...what... thirty minutes after the patch was released by the player base? That is pure negligence, and there is really no excuse that I can think of as a developer. It is not my job as a customer to defend, test, or really do anything except ENJOY the product I purchased. My feelings and opinion are all that really matter as a customer. Think of it; if your customers FEEL like you are half-assing your job, and that they are getting sub par updates, then that is reality. You will start seeing sales drop (even if the overall product is great!).
  14. haha, although that is true, my BH lives by a strict code of not killing non-targets, woman, or children (unless the target is a woman =P) Kind of like Thane Krios from ME2.
  15. PVP 10-49. I could have a good amount of additional HP from the lvl 5 dark/light relics, and I would not have to do anything extra (Go searching for damn holocrons). Yes there are lots of neutral level 50 relics, but there are crystals, relics, gear with light/dark requirements that I do not have access to, even though I have a total of 9k+ total light/dark points. I can't tell you how many times I have looted relics, or tried to buy a decent level 39 crystal, only to learn they have alignment requirements. It's REALLY irritating when I have gone through the SAME amount of crap as everyone else, I just didn't pick a specific path. How is that fair? If you are PvE focused (like yourself), then yes, I agree relics are not as important. I had no problems leveling. I, on the other hand, am PvP focused. Any bonus is a huge benefit in PvP. I have been killed 1 hit before killing someone else soooooo many times in my matches 10-49. Enough health to buy me an extra few seconds is a game changer in PvP.
