  1. Why do people make such a big deal at some feeling like some items should be exclusive and actually require effort to attain.
  2. The problem with this assumption is that if it went the other way i could easily make the same argument as you from the Republic's point of view. Someone has to win and someone has to lose; most likely it will be some form of back and forth. Just as the joker said to the Batman" I have a feeling we will be doing this for a long time".
  3. If i am not mistaken the reputation system is being introduced in 1.7; other than a new planet no new features or game systems or PvP Maps have been announced with Makeb.
  4. Well the voice of reason prevails. I seriously hope to see a public flogging of the fellow who suggested limiting quickbars to begin with.
  5. I get your point about the Romances, but I do not see why they could not have inserted Nautolan considering they are similar to Twileks just with more head tentacles.
  6. I am not the least bit hyped about it since I really doubt the Hero Engine can handle full 3D navigation in space.
  7. Where are the Bothans? Also most of what you listed either don't speak basic or would not make since in many of the stories(ie. . . Droids realy?). Cat people tend to always get top billing in many MMOs these days.
  8. Honestly more alien species are welcome. I am surprised that the Cathar got top billing before the Bothans did considering how the Battle of Bothawui figures heavily into the games lore.
  9. Continuing to develop class specific stories I think would be impossible without taking two or more years to develop them into a proper expansion. That being said i have no issue with the group "Avengers" style of story quests. I think tying more of the stories together is a good idea and would save them on development costs. We should be careful not ask for the moon here; they are short on devs and i don't want to give EA anymore reason to shrink it further. No other MMORPG comes even close to the scope SWTOR went to to develop story, so i can forgive them if they feel it necessary to tighten it up a bit and combine the story; frankly this game need more group centered content.
  10. I feel the that the GTN is woefully inadequate for popper trade. The way it works now is you set a price and then someone just pays that. I feel the economy would get a big boost if it worked more like an auction where people could bid on a item with maybe an automatic buyout number.
  11. Your AC is your class to be able to actually switch class mid game would be game breaking.
  12. You see i like the people behind it many of them have made great games like KoTOR. I just believe the market is not in the position to sustain another sub based game; to be honest they should have went the route of GW2 and just sold box copies with no sub fees.
  13. My main question is will we see major content updates like full on expansion packs that further the main story of the game? I mean more Operations and Flashpoints are nice, but I want to see a continuation of the overall story of the classes.
  14. TSW just needed another year in development( this is becoming an all to common trend with new MMO launches). It has a great premise and an intriguing story and combat system; just way to buggy.
  15. Funcom is not owned by EA; EA is just the publisher. TSW also is a buggy mess which is a staple for Funcom. TSW suffers from extreme memory leaks and Funcoms answer to their customers is buy more RAM. Also just because TSW supports DX11 does not mean SW:ToR can. If my memory serves me well their particular iteration of the Hero Engine does not support DX11.
  16. The title of your thread is entirely misleading. He did not quit the company he simply resigned his position at Bioware Austin which is not an uncommon practice in his business. Most of everything else is rampant speculation do to an article a German website wrote. Even if all this is true it still does not mean the world is coming to an end; the fact EA is letting this game go F2P shows they are handling the situation better than they did with War. http://massively.joystiq.com/2012/08/10/rumor-greg-zeschuk-leaving-bioware/
  17. Fine switch the engine, but it will be another 3 to 4 years and probably another 60 million to 150 million dollars before you will get to play it. I also don"t get the fascination with the Unreal Engine; it is hardly the best out there nor is it that impressive other than finely crafted tech demos. I personnely find id Tech 5 to be more advanced. That being said the engine is fine I imagine their server tech is the real culprit.
  18. I am just going to flat out say I like the overall art direction(although character customization is sorely lacking and I am not fond of the fact that every species uses the same base face models). I think that this game not only looks good but has an overall timeless feel to it so that in ten years(assuming this game survives past one) you will be able to look at it and not be totally depressed by how old it looks(i.e... WoW, but to be fair many of the new areas using DX11 look great; like the Wargen start zone). That being said this game has had some lag issues and I do not believe it has anything to do with the game engine and has more to do with their servers.
  19. Actually the word Beelzebub is the transliteration of a Hebrew word that literally means Lord of Flies.
  20. The 450 is the equivalent of a 560, so it is top mid-range gfx
  21. The Darth Malgus statue alone pays for the CE those same type of statues run about 225$.
  22. All I have to say is this. So what was that about bad PR again?
