  1. I will agree that we need to work our asses off to get those numbers compared to the others. However, I'm in this game for the long haul and it's an MMO. Balancing and class adjustments happen all the time. The nerf bat will come soon to those that need it *cough* Sorc/Sage. Btw I appreciate the compliment.

  6. My favourite childhood toy has become one of the most negative words used in the world of gaming. This has to stop, I loved my Nerf gun and Nerf bat. Can we please nerf the word Nerf in gaming so that Nerf can become what Nerf used to be?
  7. PvPers are competitive individuals for the most part. Look at pro sports as an example. You'll see players taunt each other all the time, it's to try and get into the head of your opponent and psyche them out. This is also an MMO, and like others, it has it's fair share of balancing issues. Classes become OP and the masses catch on then it becomes FOTM. Once this happens you see more of these FOTM scrubs (people who suck at PvP in general, so they choose the class that gives them the greatest advantage over others). This in turn, frustrates a lot of folks who play a class because THEY WANT TO, not BECAUSE IT'S EASY MODE AND OP (I'm looking at all you ex Operatives/Scoundrels who are now Sorcs/Sages). The internet is also to blame for this. We live in a world where we can really go out of our way to cause misery to someone and not have any repercussions because we're safely on the other side of the computer screen. That's where you get these E-Thugs, pathetic losers probably in real life with a stem of social and psychological problems.
  8. Snipers could use some tweaks, but really they aren't as bad as what people are saying. Yes we are the least played class in game, but that stems more from not having an iconic IA in the movies like all the other classes; not to mention, we don't use a lightsaber or force powers. My spec is 20 Engineering and 21 Lethality. I'm in full Champion gear now and unless I'm up against mostly Battlemasters I do quite well in WZs. Granted Snipers have to work their asses off compared to "retard mode" IE Sorcs/Sages, but their time is coming to an end soon anyways (hopefully). Try out other specs, mod your gear more to your playstyle. 1.2 will have some class updates, hopefully it'll give us a small boost, but really we don't need that much of a boost. Last thing I want is Sniper to become Sorc FOTM.
  9. Hmm so my Operative healer friend helped with us on our Operation last night before helping another group at Karagga's Palace. Oh ya nobody wants him in their group..... I will say this, yes you guys need adjustments, he works his *** off to get top healer in WZs where a Sorc or BH doesn't have as much trouble. Problem stems from our resource pool, Sorcs don't run out, but Operatives always do unless you really manage it. Why didn't you mention Snipers? Aren't we the worst class in this game? That's another LOL, I'm a hybrid spec and I get in the top 5 for DPS all the time. I do have to work my *** off as well, and our defensive bubble lasts 4 seconds and it's useless against force classes (which make up the majority of WZs). Btw I've had my *** kicked by Ops/Scoundrels in PvP, so if you know what you're doing, they can still be a force. They just aren't Sorc/Sage retard mode. For the record, there are less Snipers/Gunslingers then there are Operatives/Scoundrels. Know the facts before you QQ. Have a nice day.
  10. An entire group of Sorcs/Sages are no joke. Why else do you think everyone is rolling them now? Remember a month or two ago when you saw matches filled with Ops/Scoundrels, and after the nerf most mysteriously vanished. Where do you think those people went? Either they cancelled because they got mad at the nerf or they rerolled Sorc/Sage.
  11. Sages/Sorcs are OP, if you don't realize this then you are lost. I'm not saying everything about the class is OP, but you guys have the most tools out of any other class. Also the way your skill trees are set up, those hybrid specs are the ones causing the most trouble. 1.2 I hope addresses this, you guys can keep all your tools, that's fine. However, the skill trees need to be readjusted, and the rock/lightning spam crap has got to go. If you want to spam it, you should run out of force fast. If you don't want to run out of force, then the snare, dmg, or cooldown needs to be adjusted. Maybe when they do this you won't see 9/10 WZ with more then half a team either Sorc or Sage (don't say that's not true, because it definitely is). Don't believe me, one match the other night had 16 Inquistors in it, 2 were SINs. hmmmm

  15. OMG LOL HAHAHAHAHAHAHA ARE YOU SERIOUS!!! It's posts like this that make me almost completely give up on this site and the community (not the game though). Rule #1, you are a healer, and in PvP your job is to keep your team up, alive and healthy. Why would the enemy team not want to focus fire you down? If we didn't, your team would probably end up winning hands down. So how do we focus fire you? We mark you with a big old target, since in PUGs most of them run around with their head cut off. Being a healer in PvP is hard times, I understand that. To say that Bioware is ruining PvP over a target market is just completely absurb, are you even reading what you are typing? So how do you defend against this? Hmm number 1, get in a guild, or group with your guild for pvp. Call out when you are getting focused so your team can taunt, guard you and get the attackers off you. It's called tactics, use it, and stop crying.
  16. 100% dead when rated war zones comes out? Hmm I still plan on playing my Sniper as it's my main. So you're 100% incorrect.
  17. Hmm I usually get in the top 5 for DPS and Kills, also probably some of the most Killing Blows as well. We are a squishy class, if you like the tank get into melee range, he will and can kill you fast. My build is 20 Engineering 21 Lethality btw.

  20. Reason why I'm trying to think of something because I do like that open world concept. If this game turns into just a War Zone grind I'm unsubbing.
  21. So on my server Helm of Graush, Ilum isn't a dead wasteland like some other servers or a fight clubbing style (trading kills back and forth). Luckily there are some great PvP guilds on the Republic side that will actually try and lead the scrubs to do some damage. Anyways, the lag is probably the biggest issue, especially with ppl running lower end PCs. Here's some suggestions to help fix this part of the issue. Ilum Battlefield Quests - Get rid of these because they DON'T DO ANYTHING except cause lag when they are constantly updating. It's really annoying going to Ilum and getting 5 quests right away that you need to delete afterwards for the most part. Change it so you can pick these 5 quests up at an NPC at the factional base. Make them act like daily quests, you get those 5 per day and that's it. When you complete the mission (capture the objective), give Merc Comms as a reward (50 or so let's say). Now these annoying quests have some actual use to them. System Messages - You see these all the time, Player X reaches X Objective, honestly REMOVE THESE ASAP. This should help reduce lag a bit as well since the engine doesn't have to constantly keep track of all this useless information. I can understand you wanting to give players a heads up of where the action is, but it's mainly either a Factional Base or Center Objective anyways. Capturing Objectives - Here is where the majority of changes should be made to get the population more spread out, thus helping to reduce lag based on Zerging. Yes the objectives you capture do add towards your Valor Buff, but really it's not enough for players. Another thing, once captured an enemy faction can immediately capture it back, making this part of Ilum very tedious in nature. I suggest changing the way these objectives are captured in the first place. Right now it's about sending an RPG into factional vehicles. Why don't you increase the amount of rockets it takes to blow these things up by 1 or 2 at least. These are huge tanks, why does one rocket completely annihilate them? Add in a Factional Banner at these places that will spawn once the defenses have been eliminated. Once you click on it, there would be a cast bar like arming the bomb in the Voidstar. Afterwards you have to defend the objective for 3-5 minutes from enemy attacks. Announce this via System Message - Center Objective is under attack! On the map of Ilum, making it so these objectives have timers beside them counting down how long you have left. If the enemy faction can't convert the banner in the set amount of time, then the faction defending it captures it. Once captured, it would then of course add that Valor buff all players get. All players that defended the area successfully should get a nice Valor reward, and the area should then spawn in Arnaments (a base amount + bonus for extra objectives held) Once an objective is captured, the enemy will be unable to take it back for 15 minutes. At the end of 15 minutes, respawn the ground vehicles again, and it resets. That's just some ideas I think would help make it a little better. Off to work now.

  23. Well I agree with you on the way the planets were designed, I only really got into fights on the planet Voss and onward. I believe they designed it like that to discourage ganking, by basically making you travel more if you wanted to fight them. I would have loved to see the quests lines overlap with each other. Also you have to remember from a story perspective, those early planets have minimal fighting because of the treaty in place. War Zone victory bug doesn't happen very often since the fix. The new patch on TC actually addresses this (hopefully for good) The random loot from PvP bags is complete BS, everyone knows that and Bioware has started to make the changes already. The new system is a good step in that direction and I'm sure they're not done yet. Everyone's entitled to their own opinions, and I'm not gonna come here and troll you when I was feeling very frustrated over the PvP systems 3 weeks back that I cancelled my sub just so I could give them feedback on it (I resubbed a week later). The PvP systems will grow with time, the balance adjustments will come (glare at Sorcs) and what I hope is a Territorial Control System eventually.
  24. Well at least they are giving more solutions to the issue of factional imbalance (which will never be balanced btw). Polishing the war zones we have now? Care to explain, other then Alderaan being redesigned to have 5 control points I don't see any issues. Were you in the beta? If so do you remember how stupid Void Star was originally, and they polished that up to the point it became my favourite WZ (I hated it in beta).
