  1. Actually, if BioWare sees people actually cancelling their accounts, they're far more likely to pay attention to why than they are to pay attention to one of the hundreds of rage-quit posts being posted on these forums every day. No mod is going to go and check whether you're a troll or in fact someone quitting with valid complaints. They'll simply close or delete this thread.
  2. Exactly. And he states that SWTOR cost $300 million to make, but where'd he get that data? Just because you work for a company doesn't mean you know all the financials. I work for a company that designs and manufactures products, and few other than high-level managers know what the complete cost of a project is.
  3. Exodus? It's more like a constant annoying trickle of players threatening openly to quit, but will likely still be here in a month complaining. The forums are a vocal minority.
  4. Then send an email to BioWare or fill out the comments on why you're leaving when you cancel your subscription. The only reason to post on the forums why you're leaving is so you can feel special that people agree with you.

  6. ^ This. Interestingly, in my guild of 24 players, everyone has subscribed. In fact, based on guild chat, everyone is pretty happy with the game. Also interestingly, I am the only one who even reads these forums (and only do so when I can't be playing because I'm not at home).
  7. ^ This. Also, don't ever expect mods to allow this. If it's ever added, it would be by BioWare as a core function of the game. To make it an add-on, would be to allow external applications to gather in-game data live, which can lead to exploitation. It's the same reason Blizzard build there own functionality, rather than allowing it for mod makers.
  8. You post perfectly fits the "I quit" troll-post stereotype. Here's a hint. Leave gracefully and quietly. If you want to tell BioWare why you're leaving (which is a good idea), you can do it through the cancellation procedure. No one here cares, and please let the door hit you on the way out.
  9. Yeah, it seems to be an issue in several games including SWTOR, as the same happened with pets in WoW. It appears that when combat ends, the companion automatically rushes to your exact position before starting to walk around. I'd like to see this rectified as well, or better yet simply give us an option to make our companions unclickable while in the open world, since many classes/build have no need to target them outside of cantinas/our ships.
  10. I've already subbed. Can't wait to see all the forum trash get taken to the dump.
  11. Sounds like unsubstantiated internet rumor to me. You know, the kind of thing you'd find posted on a site like BGR.com or Engadget.
  12. Same. Good question. I have some issues with the game, but none are significant enough to diminish my enjoyment of the game. They're mostly some UI issues and tweaks I'd like to see.
  13. I have yet to try patch 1.1 (won't until late tonight), so I'm not going to comment on that. I played WoW on and off for years. Before and after major patches, especially in and around the Burning Crusade expansion, the forums there were pretty much as bad as things are here right now. Not sure what the reasoning is, other than the vocal minority like to read their own words and push them on others. I read the forums when I have time at work. Otherwise I play the game and enjoy it.
  14. Maybe not that much, but I'd say many players play the game zoomed at least far enough out that they can see their entire character (feet to head). Even at that zoom level (which is what I play at) high-resolution player textures are not required or noticed (and I play on a 24" 1920x1080 monitor). If the high-res textures were implemented as an option in-game, everyone would be on these forums complaining how choppy the game performance is with high-res textures enabled. Some people simply will never be happy. Those same people are the ones who tend to frequent web forums. Web forums are also but a small (vocal) minority of a product's user base, and not generally representative of the entire user base's views.
  15. ^ This. Web forums are not a proper gauge of what a product community as a whole feels. Theose who post on forums are but a small (but vocal) minority. And I highly doubt the $500 million estimate. Gotta love pundits who like to make uneducated guesses and pose them as news. Just look to BGR for some great examples of this.
  16. Thanks, but that's a different armor. I found this thread (http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3453156&userid=0&perpage=40&pagenumber=15) that has a few screenshots of armors from the Imperial Agent Progression video. Under the heading Character Progression Video Armor #2 a little ways down the page there are three thumbnails. The second is the RD-07A Vendetta set, but it's the armor in the first thumbnail (that's the last armor to feature in the video I linked previously) I'm looking for.
  17. What chestpiece is that in the 1st and 3rd images?
  18. Does anyone know what gear set is shown in this video at 2:04 (queued)? I really like the white armored look with the helmet, but haven't been able to find it.
  19. Does anyone know what armor set it is that's showing in this video starting at 2:04: I love the look of that white set with full helmet.
  20. It's not the exact same suit, but for an imperial uniform there's the Hammer Lookout's set from Hammer Station: http://www.torhead.com/search/hammer%20lookout This is what my female Agent is wearing, and the jacket and pants are orange.
