  1. It was an Electrostaff. There are no Orange Techstaves in-game, because there are no Aim-statted hilts available in game to socket them with.
  2. I levelled completely as Marksman, while my buddy levelled as Engineering. Both seemed to work fine, but ran into issues in different situations.
  3. Yeah, that's true. I have them in storage now that I have her in 50 purples. Just finish off the set with moddables (which aren't hard to find at all... at least on my server) and then get the appropriate modifications.
  4. Yeah, clarification on this would be great, because that's what I had heard as well. So for Marksman (where we're dealing mostly ranged damage) we should be aiming for 108-110% ranged accuracy.
  5. I can't compare to my numbers as I'm at work, but both your crit and accuracy seem low. I'm ~34.5% Crit (unbuffed) on my 31/7/3 build. For accuracy (and I assume those are your Ranged stats you listed), I was under the impression that for bosses the goal is 110%. Assuming that's indeed the case, you'll want to get more accuracy. For reference: I'm in gear with mk23 purple barrels/armorings and mk22 purple mods. My enhancements are all level 50 blues, and all the rest of my gear is level 49 and 50 purples, with the exception of my relics which kindof suck (thanks to the lack of neutral options).
  6. I use SCORPIO most of the time. As Armstech, I made a level 50 purple techstaff with Aim and defensive bonuses. From what I can find, it's the best techstaff available in the game (and it doesn't require heroic or Ooperation BoP drops to make). My buddy is Cybertech and on his sniper. He got all the Aim+Defense purple droid component schematics, and made me a full set for her. Might want to get in contact with a Cybertech and/or armstech and see if you can get the parts made. If your on Mind Trick, feel free to look me up (see my sig).
  7. No, not much at all. Just re-recording the opening line (and some others) of pretty much every NPC in the game.
  8. You'd rather an anarchist who you don't really know if she'll stab you in the back at any moment? Vector is actually a great companion. His combat skill are awesome. I found he killed far faster than Kaliyo, took about the same amount of damage, and could hold aggro pretty well if you told him to attack right before you queue up your opener.
  9. Yeah, I levelled as marksman. Never really had any significant troubles other than on some elites (especially the bouncing-bunny Jedi). The biggest issue with elites I noticed was that many of them you face after conversations, putting you far to close and without cover from your target. That, and you pretty much have to resign yourself to the fact that your companion will drop between 50-30% of the target's health, and you'll have to solo the end of the fight. Downtime for heals is common on any class unless you're playing with a healer companion (or are yourself a healer). I found I'd have to heal Vector for maybe 4-5 sec on most pulls. Not that big a deal, though it's definitely not the non-stop combat I can do with my Marauder with Quinn out. For note: I dropped Kaliyo like a sack of potatoes as soon as I got Vector and never looked back. I only pulled her out for the most difficult elite fights where I needed her extra threat generation. Otherwise, Vector killed far faster, lived at least as long, and could hold aggro surprisingly well if you sent him in before opening up.
  10. When I was playing my Imperial Sniper, I thought this would be a helpful benefit to the game. Now that I'm playing a Marauder, I think this is an absolute necessity.
  11. ...and don't require BoP ops items to make. From what I've discovered, there doesn't appear to be a single orange weapon that Armstechs can make without running hard mode or ops for BoP materials. While they're at it... how about fixing Vibroknives so they can actually be RE'd for improved schematics.
  12. Castellia Drogunis No title. I'm a ghost, so why would I go by anything other than a name. If I could, I'd use a pseudonym, but alas that option doesn't exist. As it stands, I'm not sure why everyone I come across knows I'm an agent.
  13. I just picked up a Ten-Kilometer Killer off the GTN last night, as I was looking for something better looking than what I had: http://tor.zamimg.com/torhead/uploads/images/11236.jpg Cost me a fortune to move my mods over.
  14. I found the complete opposite. She's an anarchist. She's at odds with most of what I do, as believe in the empire (otherwise, why would I have joining Imperial Intelligence), and believe there's reason for rule of law. I found her a horrible fit for the Imperial Agent, especially as the first companion you get and one which you're stuck with for so long. As for her combat ability, she was OK until the mid-20s, where her survivability started to drop sharply. By the time I got Vector, I couldn't wait to drop her for him, as she was dieing every other fight (or coming darn close) despite my keeping her well geared in blue defence gear. For the most part I stuck with Vector through the rest of the game, until I picked up SCORPIO and got her geared.
  15. OK. I just noticed that in my inventory I have large piles of Durasteel and Zal Alloy that I didn't have last night. So it appears as if at least 2 of my Scavenging missions succeeded but were reported as failures. I've filed a ticket, but this appears to be a UI bug rather than actual failures, which is good at least.
