  1. You are asking for a character restored and cannot provide this info? odd.
  2. Going to take a shot at this. Discussing communication is (even if unintentional) a generic way to say "don't like it". If they implemented a new X and you loved it. You would not care what they said. So it is actually not a strawman. There really isn't a communication problem despite what you think. If there is an issue with some folks it is much more specific that that. The OP's approach should be different. This approach is just a generic vehicle to "Don't like it" for each poster individual concern. That is not focused and barely if at all actionable feedback. Focused feedback would require accepting two truth's first tho. "I do not make the decisions and my acceptance is not required, nor does that mean Bioware is bad at what they do" and secondly, "just because they don't do what I think is obvious, does not mean they don't know what they are doing". Accept that then move to ... what lessons can be learned about how this played out. What would have made the same product better. Focus on the implementation process without discussing the merits of the content. That is completely irrelevant. Also irrelevant is discussion on what people thing about it. (see above) That is the only way I know of to get actionable feedback on communication. If you can show bioware critical (Rational and well constructed) thoughts on how you would like to get your "bad news" in a manner they can professionally implement and repeat you might actually get their attention. Keep in mind, there is still a bigger picture.
  3. And they still would be with a small increase in cool down time. Have you done any H2+ right now? if so has your health bar dropped below full anytime with a companion on healing?
  4. A small increase in healing cool downs will resolve most problems IMO. There is a difference between being easy and being trivial content. Right now if companion is on healing, it is trivial. increase the healing cooldown just enough to make a player move out of AOE damage or interrupt a boss skill and things are fine.
  5. Bioware has not committed to one a month. They said they would like to release one a month. (just clarification). Regarding business impact, Bioware made the call on how to monetize it. Despite forum opinions to the contrary, you can be assured they thought about it first. I would assume the alliance system will be releasing content through out the gaps to fill the time.
  6. I am having a blast playing now. I have quibbles, mostly around companions being to OP. (If i keep companion on heal I never (EVER) drop below full health even in H2. But I assume some adjustsments will be made. It is a new way to play, similiar to how LOTRO did end game grinds. I like it. Very satisfied with the game right now and I am blown away with the story telling.
  7. except in this case the print is very clear. You must qualify for all rewards. You continue to say someone needs to disprove you. that is flat out trolling. If you had an issue, you should contact customer service. if not, your trolling. But hey whatever makes you happy.
  8. No actually if you want to talk to bioware call customer service. This is where they track every issue and cause. So all of you think you have an issue....you should contact CS. This is how you get heard.
  9. This may come across as as rude but if it does not apply to you, then it does not apply. To those of you advocating charge back on a credit card. You better know what you are doing. Stating you have not been delivered service is not a path you want to pursue unless this is true based on the terms of the sale and you have given the company a chance to fix it and they refused. Otherwise it is fraud on your part. You folks advocating doing it without contacting customer service first are either children or folks that need to learn more about the responsibility that comes with using credit transactions.
  10. no not a bug. Skills are designed to gradually appear through the first chapter. They showed this on the live stream. this is to benefit folks that have not played a class of that level. I think there is somewhere to disable that. But not sure.
  11. She is likely equiped with the droid appearance. summon and remove it. Fixed for me.
  12. How about this. Sure, go with it, Its bioware's fault. BTW they will be using the same logic next time you complain about something else.....They will say it's your fault. win win
  13. google search swtor and profitability. You will be in for a surprise. But feel free to continue to believe that if you want.
  14. First off Closed beta would be a matrix type testing. They would be testing specific situations as well as fixes and regression testing. It is what we do in our shop. That group is plenty large for that purpose. What is not covered in that is the out of the norm clicks that only happen when you get a massive player base all clicking at the same time. That is hard to test however and they have existing player base experience to work with. I would presume they have scripted something to simulate normal activity, but who knows. I agree the first week is likely to be bumpy. However what you linked in your spoiler does not look like an issue to me.
  15. So your on a star wars forum linking another game. interesting.
  16. I am pretty sure there is a choice on crafting. Just like there is a choice on advance class setup. For the livestream Musco used a default setup. Perhaps I am wrong, but that was my understanding. That not withstanding, it is still a none issue. No meaningful impact to the game or anyone else's experience.
  17. They are probably tone deaf on this right now. When it rolls out however. They will be listening. bet on it.
  18. I doubt they were concerned about legal stuff. But that not withstanding...someone, maybe you, made a good case to them. Good Job to all involved.
  19. I really don't understand this, but it's your account and your opinion. I just don't see it the way you do. But I have played GW2 in the past. To me has nothing to do with level. (since you got your skills) It really only impacts three things (since you agree killing mobs is not an issue) - Speed to which you can pick up mats (mitigated some by change to gathering) and run dailies (lowering coin put into the game economy, but this should result in lower GTN prices) - impact on questing mob availability (OS no longer wiping out area mobs) and impact on pvp (though still OP vs on level) - World boss will probably take a group again. Really no other meaningful impact.
  20. Your not alone in that belief. My issue is of the countless threads started on this topic, we get one more that is nothing more than demagoguery. He is fully entitled to voice his opinion. But if he expects anyone, much less Bioware to take his position seriously then he is going to continue to be disappointed. So your right here. Bioware is likely not listening to him. But ball in his court, prove his claim. No one twisted his arm to make it.
  21. No, that stands on it own. Everything else you said "kid" is your conjecture. So if your intent is to present actionable facts. Do so. I am sure Bioware would love to see it.
  22. Dangerous word using clear and facts when you have only conjecture if your intent is to present actionable information. There is a vocal group that does not want it. That is true. It may only be 100 folks or less doing all the spamming of replies. (probably less). How this represents the community as a whole. I have no idea, and neither do you. So if accuracy is your intent, count the names of folks against it (not the replies)
  23. Your asking a design question. Bioware has clearly decided the overall game experience is better if we don't have toons running around able to OS grey mobs. This would mean they are considering: questing, gathering, pvp, conquest, heroics. There is an alliance system that they will detail just prior to launch that probably also plays into this. This also makes the planet exploratory quests relevant to the new players that create a lvl 60. So while you may think from your perspective there are alternatives. Clearly Bioware as part of the overall game design felt that was not the best solution. That is their call to make. Sorry you don't like it, but I would suggest you actually try it before you discount it. It may be forum fashionable to bash the design team, but they get it right sometimes too.
  24. No changes to picking skills, you still pick. He did. On the stream he just randomly picked 3 skills for his toon and even comments the choices did not match well. He said a blog coming ?Next week? I think. He did say there is changes to who crafts what. oh yea. If you do a premade 60 it picks. However, You can do an ADVANCE build 60 and pick yourself.
  25. It was 10 minutes on Eric's tiny man legacy toon.
