  1. Totally agree I never really disliked the game, but since the server merges i have had more fun in the game than any mmo i have played. I do agree with list of things we would like to see but i suspect the game in 6 months will have evolved more than it did in the first 6. Now if i could just get this work day over.
  2. Well, since you asked. 6 month subscriber. Not sure how much time is left but probably about what op said. I will be resubbing for another 6 snd would probably do 1 yr if it was offered and dropped price a little per month. Pretty happy with game at this point. After server transfers things picking up nicely.
  3. Balance sage 3/7/31 - l have several 50's and this is my favorite class. 1) how am i perceived: I question my dps at times, but the group i run hm and ops with say they have no complaints. 2) how do i see the class. A swiss army knife. We can do a lot of things decently. I dont think we have the raw dps of some other classes but our ability to emergency heal, cc, cleanse and battle rez bake us a valuable oh crap toon. Have not done a lot of pvp but if they catch me, its over.
  4. Welcome back. But i am keeping your stuff
  5. I am doing ok on framerate. Game looks better lately as well. Pretty happy overall. I7 930 with ati 5870 as far as rig. I followed a lot of the suggestions. I use the compstibility setting onthe launcher. I disabled in game AA and use 2xAA with morp from Graphics Card control panel. I dont use bloom. I occasionally lower the char draw density. Otherwise everything at max. Usually get about 40 to 60 on crowded fleet. Between 70 and 90 in worlds. I also use an SSD for windows and this game. Warzones i back it down but flashpoints or ops i do not.
  6. Actually no its not. They even mentioned it could go longer in their press release. However, this field always can use talented and driven individuals. There are many industries (not just games) that do utilize these types of folks. If you are really interested and think your good enough jump on in. Its good work albiet frustrating at times. As far the variable time, lots of reasons. Enterprise level source code management is very complex. Nothing unusual here. Just to many variables to predict a precise time unless it something simple like a server restart. That can be predicted.
  7. Thats not pay to win. Thats pay for convenience. Currently time is the only in game currency. In games that offer accelerators all they are doing is allowing someone to pay for in game time. Its aimed at working class gamers. You dont get anything extra. Offer items that require time and achievement or luck to get then you have a point. Some western mmos may do this but not many. Not really a big deal to me, thought its a giant waste of money. If someone really wants to do that, meh their money.
  8. Well, kinda agree Useful feedback unlike what is seen in all mmo forums unfortunately woukd be great. If a person wrote up what he did not like with examples and placed it in the suggestion box it would get read. Whether bioware agrees or takes any action is another thing. The reason most dont is because actual feedback is not really the goal. The problem with most of this thread is those that think their opinion is fact and and disagreement means a person forum dual. To bad really as it really just fuds up the place and useful posts get buried.
  9. Yes having a blast. In fact my lotro toons are gathering more dust than i thought they would.
  10. Thanks bioware for the change. I noted the cooldown counter. Does this over lay the keybinding also on the tab? Will that make it hard to see the bound key sequence?
  11. Read 30 pages. Quit reading but mostly agree with op Customize ui - yes (resize, move, skins, better visibility on combat effects, and target's target seem to be a no brainer) Threat and dps meters - no, rt feedback makes encounters too easy. I am ok with after encounter reports Target dummy with dps feedback - that would help build questions particulaly if built with various boss attributes. I would like some convenience mods but prefer it to be in house.
  12. I personally like the change, however you state some good alternate ideas. Well done.
  13. I read the forums and expected the worst. Ran directive 7 last night and some heriocs and i had no issues on my sentinel. I like the change. It took a bit of getting used to but i can clearly see the cooldowns. Everyone has an opinion but mine is: nice change
  14. Instance areas are easily monitored, and it is actually pretty insignificant for the client to sum up some experience data and load it back to a data collection server on exit. There most assuredly server side code which monitors instance data ins and outs. That said, if Bioware says it is 5% (I have not read that but assume its true) then within the broad contact of the player base, that is probably right. The question is is that talking about only warzones, or all instances spaces. Also there is two types of lag, client lag would not always be their problem. So they could be excluding issues beyond their control. Anyone here that thinks bioware is running this from the seat of their pants without solid metrics on a broad range of variables just does not understand big dollar business. None of that of course, helps those that are experiencing it.
