  1. oh man, funny stuff here. Time to clean the ice tea off the keyboard.
  2. Good that you recognize it. And yea, probably a good thing.
  3. its possible, but hardly worth the effort. Also the effort is not trivial and has risk. If I was them, I would not do it.
  4. Yes, I do actually. It's certainly possible to change the name now, but why. It's just a name and hardly worth the effort.
  5. the alliance alerts are optional content. You should do them if you like the companion associated with them. As far as CXP stuff like dailies. up to you. The story itself does not need any of that to continue. So if you like the story, just keep on playing it. The rest will still be there when you are done.
  6. I am sorry you hear it that way. I hear a company giving us their best estimate and if not making it, moving to next best estimate. That level of transparency in my mind is a good thing. The work behind the scenes is the same. They have internal targets and fall backs. Why not share? See no downside.
  7. I am an IT professional, and I completely disagree. This is exactly how they should handle do it. Test and launch with first available release window after code fixed. Deploy-able software on the shelf does not benefit company or customer.
  8. I guess this is a friction point. I would like to see GS be more alt friendly. Ideally I would like all GS points to be legacy wide. If this is too much then I suggest something along one or more of these approaches. 1- Allow points to be moved to a legacy bank at some amount less than 100% conversion 2- All ship mastery to apply legacy wide 3- create a new currency that accrues legacy wide 4- have companion unlocks apply legacy wide Thanks for the topic.
  9. OP never stated what the issue is or what resolution would be ok. So not sure point of post other than to slam CS. Well my experience has been good every time I used them (even if they cannot help as much as I would have liked) So going to disagree with OP here. SWTOR CS is good for an MMO.
  10. Not sure your background, so don't take this badly, but incremental change is always a better solution dealing with complex systems. So really I agree with both of you. take their time and follow a process. we will all be more thankful in the long run.
  11. Eric already advised it was being looked into, on dev tracker
  12. interesting choices some folks make, but hey, 15 dollars is well, 15 dollars.
  13. exactly. I lost two armor sets last night due to muscle memory.
  14. I am not following this. It has always been a legacy unlock on the Character perk menu. Nothing about speeder mounts has ever been account wide. Disappointed it is not working on all mounts yet but I did not think this was misleading.
  15. You know your position is unpopular, chose to state it. Ok, good for you. why defend it. You will not convenience anyone. I would not bother defending it. You had your say, now others having theirs. Way it goes. However, for what it is worth, given the exposure I am sure someone at bioware read it, so they may or may not agree with you, but I am sure you were heard. So from my perspective, looks like a mission accomplished for you. Cheers
  16. I have bitraider client and it works for me. Don't know if this impacts everyone or just a few folks however. But no problems for me.
  17. I was able to move mine. Just had to move the radar to be able to grab it.
  18. Can you sue someone over content you do not actually own....Good grief Don't like the contest, fair enough but seriously......
  19. Your are not going to get a detailed list of features and with dates. The develop cycle does not really lend itself to long term specific estimates. Most software company work in sprints. If an item cannot be completed in the committed sprint for whatever reason it slides to the next available sprint. You will note they do occasionally tell you planned fixes for upcoming incremental release. That can be shared as it has been prioritized and committed to a sprint. However, even that does not ensure it makes it to live. You are correct there is undoubtedly a short, medium and long term plan. The medium to long term plans are probably planned just to a Quarter. That type of planning is at a high level and could easily include 10,000 hours or more planned. That is not information any sane business would share. So you get vague promo reveals that do not lock in specific expectations. And that is for the best btw. Does not help you I know, but that is the nature of software development. I had a developer tell me once when I pressed for more concrete data for our senior executives - "code is not bricks, and we are not bricklayers".
