  1. Dont forget mouseover to healers.
  2. You should really stop calling others scrubs, you are only making yourself look bad and i'm pretty sure that is against the forum rules. Aside from that, PuGs are not the ones that want to get their toon to the max they can. PuGs are the ones that are sattisfied being just fine. People often like to blame PuGs about things that have nothing to do with them. I have defeated end content in a guild, and those that want to push the limits of their toons already done that. Yet for many people, just downing the content is not enough, for many people, just fine is not acceptable, for many people, pushing the limits is the joy of playing this kind of games. Those people dont have the tools to do it now. We have seen how meters were missused, we have already seen how chat channels were missused, should we get rid of those too? We have seen how warzones were missused, we should get rid of warzones... Hell, we should get rid of the game altoguether, since every single bit of it can be missused. You dont want to see how people posts meters? Ignore those that do it. i'm sure that since you are not a PuGuer you wont have any trouble with that, right?
  3. There is already an ignore feature for scribs posting meters after every fight. Also, addon meters dont tell you only dps, they also tell you damage taken, interrupts, cc breaks etc. You cant optimize your build without being able to measure the results, you may be happy with being just fine like you said, but others dont. Others want to push limits, others want to be better than "just fine". The only real reason why people dont want meters is for scrubs posting them after pulls, which can easily be countered by ignoring them. Those that do want meters, dont have any way to counter the fact that they are no9t present.
  4. From the moment you marry her, you lost every single bit of freedom you had. Get used to it, it isnt that different irl. You had the option to not marry her. Now the necklace is in your neck, though it is invisible.
  5. I know it wasnt from launch (though wow had parsers since beta) but the thing is that some people think that wow had no meters in vanilla and TBC, when wow actually had meters since a few months into vanilla. Again, meters had no made WoW a number crunching game. Meters are neccesary if we want people to be able to optimize their toon and therefore if we want any seriousness in end game raiding. Meters will come, that's a fact.
  6. You can do that just by throwing an AOE skill under the door.
  7. The fact that the attacking team does not kill that guy in seconds before planting the bomb is hilarious. You are trying to imply one people can hold 5 other from planting a bomb, when those 5 would kill that one in 3 seconds or less. Also, one sorcerer can stop infinite number of people from planting a bomb for a few second by just seting a death field under it, and the sorcerer doesnt even have to target a particular enemy.
  8. I think the DOT change is stupid, but too many classes need the snares and are balanced around it (like IA/Smugglers that dont have ANY gap closers and rely on stuns and snares to do their only job). Changing snares or adding them to the resolve bar would mean rebalancing several classes. So no, if you nerf snares, you have to nerfs knockbacks, pushs, pulls and such. Its not funny either to see someone in huttball being chain pullled from mid to goal and pulls are not being nerfed because of that.
  9. Wow had DPS meters wsince vanilla. Wow didnt become a game about nmumbers because of meters, that's the mistake many people here are making. There have ALWAYS been dps meters in WoW.
  10. No one will force you to play the way you dont want it when meters get into the game. YOU CHOOSE TO PLAY LIKE YOU WANT, if anyone tries to teel you to play different, just ignore it. If anything, meter will help people build a personality to stand and back up a choice they made. Right now, with your opposition against meters, you are forcing many players to play like you want, with meters, you can still play like you are now and the way you like, provided you can say not to an unknown online user, which to be honest is a good thing for you to be able to. You must be capbale of saying no to unknown internet people these days, both in and out of swtor and mmo's in general. You cant optimize what you cant meassure so yes, right now he is being forced to not optimize his toon.
  11. There had been dps meters in wow since vanilla. Dps meters dont create a thing, people are or arent elitists, they dont become elitists because of meters, if anything, meter can let you know faster who is an elitists so you can stay away from it. Meters do favor those of that want to play this game a little more seriously. Right now this game is a joke, and that's because you cant know with hard data if any change in you build, rotation or playstyle would improve your char over what you are doing now. Meterss dont destroy anything either, if you dont want to use them, then DONT. It isnt about being insecure, its about maxing your character capabilities.
  12. If you want to play unorganized PVP, then IA or BH are both good, if you want to play organized PVP, forget about IA and get BH or Sorc. Ia has a chance against unorganized people, but if you want to play any serious PVP, IA just sucks.
  13. The nerfs werent neccesary, but in terms of PVP they werent much to worry about. The nerfs operatives got in PVE is just stupid, when melees already have a disadvantage in this game and PVE operative damage was already lower than the rest. BioWare is making several mistakes trying to balance things, which doesnt give me much hope for the future. Now Operative's need a buff in PVE damage, but since there are so few operatives players BioWare just dont give a crap about that fact.
  14. Dont missunderstand me. I leveled from 1-50 with kaliyo just fine (except for a little time, you know). Having said that, Khem is just better, not because he's melee, but because he just tanks better with equal level gear than kaliyo. Leveling with Khem is easy mode after leveling with Kaliyo.
  15. If you think Khem Val is useless, make an imperial agent and get Kaliyo (your first companion, also a tank like Khem Val). Do that and you will realize Khem is a big diamond.
  16. Way to not read the OP post before replying. He is actually saying that the damage is not being done when the animation hits.
  17. I dont know all the classes but i know for sure that Concealment Operatives dont have a channeled, but i'm pretty sure not evry class has one, and i'm prety sure that no other class that has a channeled has to interrupt it after casting it in order to not lose dps, which is the real problem, not the fact that is done from 4m (which could be a problem in PVP but not so much in PVE). The problem is that takes too long and do low damage for the time it takes, in a class that needs too much mobility. I dont think that making it generate rage is a good idea, and if they do this, then move rampage to Rage, which is the three that would make use of the rage generated. Vengeance doesnt need more rage, we need more damage. Replacing the Rampage talent with a talent that when we renew a dot inmediately does that damage missing from the one we replace. Vengeance doesnt need a 3 sec channeled in the rotation, nor more rage, we need our dots to hit more than 100 per tick.
  18. Ok i should have seen this posts before answering. Yes this build you show is what i have (or very similar, i'm not in the game now so i cant check talent by talent).
  19. I use something very similar to this. But instead of Ravager if i were you i would put those points in Battle Cry, which will make you always have more rage and therefore always being able to use the best skill, which will in turn increase your DPS. I would move the talent of Unyielding to complete the 3 points in Battle Cry.
  20. We are talking about a skill that to be usefull it MUST be interrupted by the own user as soon as you can after the second hit. That's bad design. So no, the skill is not usable, there is a backdoor to make it not such a waste, but its by using it WRONG (the user of a skill should never have to interrupt the skill to get the most out of it).
  21. This please, that will fix us. Replace rampage with a talent that does this.
  22. Not good for PVE either. Its a leveling skill, once you get better skills, it ends being obsolete. The talents affecting it are just a waste.
  23. Ravage is pretty bad, yes, but i dont think i have too much GCD left to use it anyway, and taking it ouf of the GCD while letting us do something else might be too much. I would prefer to take ravage and its talents out and give us talents that affects other more usefull skills.
