  1. Fun vid, really made me chuckle . I agree partially though. In my humble opinion ; -Sages don't even use their lightsabers. It's awesome if you want to throw force at people. -Shadows just don't have cool animations with the flow. Most of the time you'll stop and wait for your global cooldown which is way off than reality. Come to think of it, its a horrible mdps class with balancing as well. Sentinels and guardians are a better choice if you want to have a character that looks like a jedi. -Dual wielding fits a marauder way better when you take a look at their animations. It's offensive and it looks awesome. -One handed lightsabers look ridiculous on juggernaughts, they look like Lex Luthor and it doesn't make sense. Most of the time it just makes openings so that his opponent can kill him. Which makes guardians the most epic looking class in game amongst lightsaber classes. Edit: Wish i had your chair.
  2. This is how our force stun should have been... So much fun with this skill .
  3. Designers are paying extra attention and finding new ways to make us look even uglier, thats something i respect. Shouldn't be too easy, almost challenging to come up with something even uglier everytime.
  4. My humble opinion: Old WoW, no. SWTOR is not better. New WoW, yes. SWTOR is better Let's talk WoW. As mentioned on Blizzcon, fighting over a flight point in Tarren Mill was fun. Having a serious conflict between Horde and Allience was fun. Game was actually difficult, raids were difficult. What changed ? I mean did you see the new skill trees in WoW ? Definition of dumbing down ! Did you see the new rotations of some classes ? Level up to 90 instantly ? Seriously whats Blizzard thinking ? Blizzard chose the casual way in order to stay in the market. Whole questing is not different than playing Skyrim, instead of Morrowind. In a market with this much competition, they made the right move and stabilized their position. However, they lost players like me who's been playing that game ever since Vanilla. SWTOR ? Hard to tell really i'm currently enjoying the game a lot. The new space content comes with possibilities. It might really create awesome PvE content along with PvP. Item customization is by far the best i have ever seen in any game. There is just too many options. However, its so easy to tell how easy rdps rotations has become. Raiding content is still challenging but if there is no player skill involved, then there is no point. They still haven'T changed the %5 dps difference policy between classes. We want equality, that's all we want. Or lower the difference between a sage and gunslinger. In conclusion, both has problems. WoW has signed the deal and ended itself with Pandaria for me. Warlords of Dreanor sounds like a good call, since they are looking at back. Fight Grom Hellscream ? Hell i have to be there. But with those talent trees ? No. SWTOR has problems as well, but it has nothing that can't be fixed. They only need to find a really good balance of player skill, and quality of life for classes, engaging stories and encounters for players. It's taken some good turns and bad turns as well. Time will show what happens next.
  5. Here is my priority. 1. Operations with the new space content 2. Mini games 3. New advanced classes or skill trees for the current classes. 4. Class Story 5. Planets
  6. Food for thought. Now count the amount of slingers/snipers . Over 9k !
  7. Even dreadforged gear you get with tokens are full of crit .
  8. I just grew tired of seeing Eradicators Robe on all the Jedi and the Sith, really wish there were more options. If Bioware actually managed to give knights more iconic looks we wouldn't be having this.
  9. As a TK sage dps PvE just a couple of utilities ; 1) Make Mind Crush less interruptable like the other skills we have. 2) Make Mental Momentum proc a little more often. RNG factor can get a little bit frustrating, but i doubt if we can do more about that. Maybe increase chances a bit but its still a chance. This is more like an opinion and Sage PvE dps appears fine to all of us, actually its in a good place. Compared to what we have pre 2.0, its amazing. However, if you have noticed people are talking about 1 sentinel 9 gunslingers in 16 man groups now. Bioware, you really have to get rid of this %5 policy of yours and get classes closer to each other. Or reduce it to 3% or so, i'm sure you have statistics that could help to decrease the difference. Also maybe bringing back the challenge for resource management could cheer things up. Currently we don't even look at our force bar unless we are using Benovelence. All the best.
  10. Oh hello Manwe, long time no see . Ye i'm over girls , soon i'm done with college anyway and all i care about is to spend some quality time with my raiding friends. Anyway, its rather certain now that we are transfering to RE with a friend of mine who just happens to be Manwe. And thank you for the response Mattycutts. I'm just hoping we'll find a good home at RE.
  11. This is one of the best ideas i have ever heard. Shadow and Guardian dps classes could use this buff, would make things a lot of fun and give these classes a small buff, increasing their raid viability. Of course, would be wiser to drop the percentage by %3, which is the equivalent of a sentinel inspiration in 8 man groups dps buff wise. Still amazing idea.
  12. Hello. So i've been playing on Progenitor ever since the game itself is released and having fun. But nowadays, i feel as if noones doing progression there anymore. So i think its due to a slow decline of the server. Not the server itself mind you, just the PvE wing and PvE is the only thing i really enjoy in this game. I should add i'm a decent TK sage, maybe my name was there in a couple of parses. And my plan is to migrate to Red Eclipse and hopefully find a good environment of PvE raiders. So my question is, would it be wise for you to leave Progenitor behind with my main and join this server ? Would it be possible to find a friendly guild here doing progression with a slot for me ? All the best.
  13. While i admit commando healing is fun, it feels lacking when it has cooldowns. It's a really difficult spec to master and when i feel i should be more efficient on healing with my commando, i always see my bacta infusion or tech override on cooldown and start to think "i wish i was a scoundrel". Perhaps a rotation that resets the cooldown or lowers the cooldown on Bacta infusion would really kick things at this point for more controlled bursts. But i just don't see commandos as an awesome healer that can match the might of a scoundrel if necessary. I hope these make sense. All the best.
  14. Hey. If you ask me guards should always be on mdps. I'm a sage, i pull aggro like a vacuum cleaner pulling dust on my TK spec. Still i know that if i lose aggro, i can use tricks from far and give tanks time to take it back off me. If a rdps insists that he needs to have a guard despite the fact that you are dying at the start of the fight, he's just an arrogant kitten that needs to be taught a lesson. I also have the same issue as well with certain tanks, your tank might want to research some rotations that would get him high initial aggro. No dps has to suffer from "Go easy at start , alright?" or "Slow down dps ur taking too much aggro" or -if you use your aggro drop and do your job- "stop dying at the start of the fight with your aggro". This just doesn't happen with good tanks. All the best.
  15. Complaining in the forums is actually a good sign of player flow. If there is no complaining, thats when you should worry. Our task as people who complain, is to try to keep the damage to minimum and try to be constructive about what we complain. We complain, because we want to help polishing the product we purchased. We are not doomsayers, we are players and customers. Still i believe this goes for everyone here; we wouldn't be here if we didn't enjoy the game.
  16. No it's not ! I personally find it a lot more exciting and evolving as the story goes on. You get powerful as the story gets more exciting, you evolve with the story. Unlike the JK who says he's going to end the Sith threat at lvl 8 like a pubescent.
  17. I have to disagree. I find serendipitous much better coz, if it procs, its a major boost. And it doesn't proc, you can focus on other utilities. On dummy parses and fights like DF first boss, turbulence timing fits perfectly with serendipitous. Recent encounters like DF is more about utility like ccing, cleansing, interrupting, every other skill that feeds on your global cooldown, hitting your momentum. The second you start dpsing, it procs, you benefit and the fight takes a break, and you have to focus on utility like cleanses. I personally find boundless ages necessary in burst and serendipitous for my BiS relics. Also the new main stat relic is awesome, but not very fitting for sages since we get 6%. Hope these make sense. All the best.
  18. Hey Nibbon; Just compared the new Oriconion with the old 72 and the difference is: Willpower: 30 Power: 22 Makes me want to believe that maybe A mods might be better for optimization end game. Not to mention they are only found within operation encounters, not found within the actual vendors. Only some Oriconion MK-2's can drop some A mods. Bioware would want the optimization to be more difficult, wouldn't they ? Maybe we might have to renew the chart and recalculate how it would affect overall dps with the new stats, considering main stats have got a massive boost. Might be worth looking into.
  19. New advanced classes are always options, or new skill trees for the current advanced classes we have. These are just not well thought stupid ideas that i currently have with the small amount of time i have. I'm sure you guys can come up with even better ideas . Like: Consular => Jedi Trickster (Support, dps tree, debuffer like, 1 handed melee/range consular using mind tricks, mind games) Knight => Jedi Ambassador (Niman form, single lightsaber, support/mdps trees, focused more on disarming and weakening while boosting morale for others) Trooper => ??? (Frontline soldier with a vibroblade and a scattergun. ) Smuggler => Hunter (or SIS agent, republic guy with a sniper rifle, focuses mostly on putting explosive mines, bombs on target that other people explode, gives debuffs which is support, then ofc the dps focusing more on dps. Not sure how you can make this original, different setup than what the slinger has) Inquisitor => Sith Deceiver (Mirror, support like) Juggernaught => Sith Heretic (mirror class) Bounty Hunter => Brawler (Give the guy an axe and a blaster, let him do the rest ) Agent => Tech Specialist (Blaster and a scattergun, works mostly with bombs) Support is more like , do %5 less dps but let the others do %5 more dps. Buff and boost people or weaken your enemy. Might work awesomely if done correctly, only thing swtor is lacking .
  20. Imo, Cross servers are really not something you would love to implement in your game. It has advantages of course, but it also has disadvantages that needs to be considered very carefully. *Server only GF will allow you to get more familiar with other members of your server. It will allow you to make your friends in your environment. *In a server only GF, you will not see trolls a lot, since people are in their server and they have a reputation to think about. In a cross server GF, a person can really do stuff to annoy other people, given the chance. Like ninja looting, or harassing other people with foul language. *If your server has issues with waiting for tanks, other servers have the same issue. Basically your waiting time for the queues will be average of all the other servers. It might solve your problems if you want to queue at midnight while noone is online, but it will always have an estimated time, often more than what we have in active hours, less than what we have in non-active hours. I personally don't want a cross server GF. I'm very happy with the system we have, as long as i don't try to queue on an inactive time. I hope this has given you some food for thought. All the best.
  21. *Sarcasm on*Just make it 5k CC Bioware, its a good money maker.*Sarcasm off*
  22. Hey Whattie . On TK i personally use them whenever its off cooldown, don't really care about syncing the cooldowns. It makes more sense but for some reason i always get bad results. Also managed to hit 2732 at last on TK. http://www.torparse.com/a/251413/26 Still nowhere close to what i want. http://www.torparse.com/a/227130/1 My first time doing more than 2700 really . I currently am with 69 MH, need implants and earpiece, 69 enhancements with all, a couple of 72 aptitude mods and 72 armorings and i don't use adrenals on my parses. Right now i'm trying some alacrity on me instead of surge. I'll try two alacrity as soon as i get the loot. Fleet dummy is so laggy right now, i'll do more and better next time hopefully. And Nibbon, thank you very much for posting the spreadsheet for the balance sages. Looking forward to your TK sage spreadsheet man. Hope this helps . All the best !
  23. Well a couple of my friends quit the game as well. I have to agree, partially. For PvE; It's just that, we farmed TFB for so long so nothing new there. People got so tired of doing TFB constantly before 2.0, they mostly avoid it. S&V was the only new operation. Flashpoints we had were mostly what we already had, just tuned according to our level. Classic operations are also not tuned for 55. This is how it is for PvE i really wouldn't want to be a PvP player in the current state of the game... Then 2.1 came, robbing the subscribers blind and forcing your loyal customers to even pay more for the game for dyes, appearence changes. I personally don't have any issue for paying money for anything aesthetic, but being forced to purchase cartel coins coz i wanted dyes was really stressing, when you are already paying for the game in a monthly basis. I'm writing this, because i care about this game, i love this game. It's just painful to see a couple of close in game friends leaving the game because they got nothing else to do other than S&V once a week. Bioware really needs to do something to get more love from subscribers and give us more news to keep things excited. I'm also pretty sure they are hearing us out. We'll see how things turn out .
  24. I'm really expecting a new operation for 2.4, NiMM modes will do for the moment. It's good to have an interesting content with new mechanics, and new content for our nightmares However, if a new operation comes in with an expansion and thats the business model they want to adopt, i might as well abandon ship. It pains me enough that i paid for an expansion pack with a single new operation as endgame content. Subscribers must not be forced to pay for every operation you make Bioware, please don't do this mistake.
