  2. I've been doing some parses and trying to find the golden values between these two. For end game, which one is the golden stat ? When i had 820 power, i could see 1728 dps or so. When i had 850 power, i could see 1712 at most. Now i have 760 power, i'm seeing 1710 dps on parses ( Still on testing, might push a little better with a perfect rotation ) I'm switching power with willpower. My top dps was at 790 power, which was 1742. I'm switching aptitude mods 27-27A ( -/+ 29 power +/- 16 willpower ). Which one should i lean on ? Is there a golden number that gives the best dps number to see ? Are these changes due to RNG or do stats really matter for this optimization ? Could use any advice. All the best. Edit: Okay, just got 1763 with 760... Now it's gotten more interesting. It appears that willpower seems to be improving my results a lot more, i'll try this by lowering power until 700.
  3. Yes, implement craftable dyes obtainable from cartel market, its a great source of income if you ask me. Make people pay money for aesthetic purposes, not artifact authorization.
  4. Of course they are going to ask money for aesthetic changes, Its way better than forcing F2P players with 200k credit cap and making artifact authorization worth 1 million credits. Good going Bioware, ask more money for server transfers, race changes. MORE money. But let F2P players get involved in the game. Don't ruin their gameplay and fix this model. Your strict F2P rulings scare the newcomers and make them think they can'T be part of anything without actually paying money. They should be able to cope with us preferred or subsribers with in game money. All the best.

  6. Hello guys. After months of trying i may have convinced my brother to start his SWTOR account and play with me. He wants to try a stealth class, a jedi shadow or a scoundrel. He used to play a rogue so he will probably be dpsing. I personally played scoundrel as a healer, so i really don't know much about its dps capabilities, if it can compete with other classes with optimization. He also used to enjoy pvp as well. He seems more willing to try out a scoundrel but wants to know if its a good start. So what should he pick ? A jedi infiltration shadow or a scrapper scoundrel ? Any advice is helpful, thank you.
  7. I had the same issues when i restarted playing my sage after 8 months or so, i noticed i had very low power. Try to move your power a little bit, you should at least start seeing some 1.3ks even if you can not grasp the rotation yet. For EC HM, having 1200 is even enough for a good start, since there is so much target switching etc. Try to use force speed a lot more often to not to lose dps while moving. Try to use Turbulence as often as you can use. And try not to miss procs as they come up.
  8. I find having support type of classes in MMO's very difficult to implement, since they have no room in PvE, in boss fights. An anti-healer, hexing class with supporting and buffing abilities should not be expected to do as high dps as other ones. However, supporting role can be implemented to every class. For example; Turbulence attacks could put a debuff on the enemy that increases all force damage dealt by 2-3%, which would make sages a perfect support class for any other dps jedi shadows, sentinels or guardians. Demolition Rounds could put a debuff that increases all tech damage on the boss by 2-3%, making commandos a perfect support class for any other dps with tech damage. Also RL's would have to be careful about their dps choices as well. More examples can be implemented with a deeper mechanic discussion but this is merely food for thought.
  9. It's alright, i restarted playing after a long time so i'm slowly getting used to telekinetics dps as well so the threads kinda new . Mind Crush has a high priority on our rotation, whenever you find yourself standing, i use it after Turbulance, TKW or TKT proc. If you find yourself in a mobile situation, project does the same amount of dps. First test is when you use only Mind Crush, second test is when you only use Project. Dps values were totally the same ! So its your call to decide if you want to use Mind Crush in your rotation. Project is always useful while you are moving but Mind Crush ? That's debatable.

From what i see for the Telekinetics Tree, Mental Momentum needs a serious touch. I really wouldn't want to spend two of my talents just to get %1.2 dps increase. A suggestion to change mental momentum: Maybe it should work for TKW (with 30% chance, three times ticking TKW's ) as well and help Weaken Mind (with 30% chance) tick twice occasionally. Weaken Mind and TKW does about %21,5 (12,31%+9,22%) of the dps in total and this would give both a 6,4% (30% chance of ticking twice) dps increase. Our 2420 dps would become approximately 2575 dps which is actually a good number and can be pushed a little more in time. It would also effectively decrease the cooldown of Mental Alacrity (Tremors talent) which is even better, we might reach 2650 and be considered a decent dps for once . Mental Momentum would be doing (6,4%+1,2%) 7,6% of the total dps reducing the cooldown of Mental alacrity even more, everyone's happy!
  11. Fully supporting this. Give Double strike a new animation and allow us to use our lightsaber at some point. Maybe for channeling, maybe for other purposes but give us something !
  12. Or we might have a cooldown that gives life to our lightsaber to fight as our minion for some time. Telekinetics Sage is looking more like Demonology Warlock now more than ever. We need a minion and our lightsaber can do that .
  13. I really would like to hear some good news about Telekinetic Sages, some good dps values. Currently it looks way weaker compared to other specs. Anyone already familiar with the class able to test it ?
  14. Thank you, your pointers have been most helpful. Especially number 1 and 4. Especially #1, i mostly time my "Weaken Mind" after "Mind Crush" ignorantly. You fixed a lot with this one . Also #4 means i should renew my "Weaken Mind" just before using "Mental Alacrity". #2 however, i fail to get this one right. Should i use this often, whenever its off cooldown ? I also will lose telekinetic wave procs with this and miss some proc times. I should work on this better and get some comparative results. Thank you for these. All the best.
  15. Hello. I've been trying to get a good dps number for a while now with my telekinetics sage. I tested my dps on an Operations Training Target MK-5. Here are the stats for my sage. 2126 willpower 819 power 35,22% crit chance ( These stats are buffed but not stimmed, so was the test results. ) 75,82% surge 8,73% alacrity After testing these stats for a while; http://www.fryingtime.com/?filename=combat_2013-02-24_03_13_50_777925.txt This is what i came up with. 1641 dps seems horribly low considering this is stationary dps. My guildmates easily see 1800 dps on many occasions. On a Xeno HM the other day, i only managed to pull 1440 dps, which was even worse. I'm open for any type of critisizing, suggestion to improve my dps. Thank you. All the best.
  16. You are absolutely right, i should have read Mental Momentum more carefully. So does this mean we also implement Project in our rotation ? That's a good addition. Mind Crush does have a long cooldown and Project would be a great filler compared to disturbance, with Upheavel and lower GCD times. I'm also not sure if project can cope with the new improved disturbance. Would be great if this could be tested with the telekinetics tree. Again thank you for all the reviews you wrote, they have been very helpful.
  17. Thank you for this wonderful review. I can add a couple of things as a telekinetics sage. I also had a chance to observe the skill tree, with the new project talent coming in, Project can take the place of Mind Crush within our rotation. I always believed that Mind Crush has a too long casting time and project might have a better dps/casttime ratio ( Cast time for project is the GCD. ) value unless the player goes for high alacrity. Now its clear that Bioware doesn't want telekinetic sages to use Mind Crush, GCD decreasing with alacrity and upheavel amongst our talents. I feel a little offended actually, our skill tree cooldown ( Mental Alacrity ) is now used by all other sage skill trees which is good for others. However, telekinetics sage required something new, something to make the RDPS more interesting in its current state. It could be the only skill tree amongst classes with only "two" new skills to use.
  18. So, I got 50 and gathered lots of BH commendations to perfect my gear as i need. Since there are no armstech recipes that i can make money with, it was tough work. So after buying all the campaign armorings from the BH commendation vendor, all my friends go Reverse engineer some enhancement, some mod and get a new recipe. BH commendations help the to gather the material for reverse engineering. It helps them to make money and also helps them to find a use for their BH commendations. It's a perfect endgame anyone could ever ask for. However, its not like that with Armstech. There is no moddable weapon that i can get with my BH comms and RE the barrel. There is no recipe i can use to imbue my weapon. There are no consumables. There are no item modifications that i can use to make some money, or even use my BH commendations. In fact there is not a single Skill Barrel 22+ on GTN within our server. So, i'm asking other people with Armstech. What do you do when you buy all your campaign armorings with your BH commendations? Go for Cybertech/Armormech ? Quit the game ? Beg the developers to add "Craftable weapon attachments" to your weapon ? Gear up your companions ? All the best.
  19. My idea: They shouldn't charge people who initially paid money for this game as a founder. We already paid lots of dollars for this game before this F2P winds even started. Then they can win my love. Other than that, i don't see anything wrong with the current picture.
  20. Hello everyone. I'm merely writing these because i find myself laughing at myself at the moment. This might be overly boring or needless for you i understand but i have to share this for laughs and giggles and to ease my pain a little bit. Before i begin writing my diary i have to say, i have a Mechanics of Materials midterm tomorrow i really need to study. Also we have ops with my guildmates tonight at 21:00. The game was working perfectly yesterday so why wouldn't it work right now! Let's begin! 14:00 Now that the maintanence over, i should do the dailies quickly so that i can study a bit. What's that? Launcher gives "unable to retrieve patch data". Let's search what we can do about that. 15:00 Tried all the solutions which were mostly like carpet bombing and nothing works. Let's try reinstalling the game. 16:00 Reinstalling the game and noticing that some people can enter the game using a VPN. I should fix this issue i can study after i fix it. Also i really want to be there with my guildmates to join the ops for tonight. 17:00-18:00-19:00 Still searching for a way to fix the issue and out for dinner etc. 20:00 Due to a certain issue with my smartphone, i had to uninstall the security key application. I should work on an issue to re-login to my account. 21:00 After waiting 35 minutes on the queue, i finally got my answer. It was fixed! I have noticed i have not studied entire day for my midterm tomorrow! 22:00 Reinstaling is complete, now i can join the ops with my guildmates ! They'll hate me because i'm late . 23:00 Well the patching gave an error and it had to repair again... Installing English Assets 1... 23:30 There is no way around it, we have to wait for it. Might as well start studying... 23:45 What's that ? Keeps giving that unable to retrieve patch data error again. I guess i can't play tomorrow neither. That's just me all over, i just can't focus on another work before one issue is complete. I'm screwed tomorrow and haven't even done it for a good reason, like playing SWTOR with my guildmates. I'd say i hate Bioware but i damn love this game, and i love you too Bioware. However, you are really making it difficult for me to continue this love. All i wanted was a good day fun and well timing my MMO play time so that i can study and play at the same day. Just 2 hours for dailies, some studying and ops for the night... Well, that didn't happen. Have a good day fellas !
  21. I believe all the end game content in SWTOR is now boring to many people because we have seen this before. SWTOR doesn't really bring something "new" to the end game aside from the story and the story is over once you complete it. Raids,bgs...Things we already know from previous MMOs. It's not like we have pazaak or pod racing or anything. I don't know about you but what vanilla WoW had was quite original with a lovely community at start and that was a thing that kept me going, AT ITS TIME. I still remember the chaos with my 40 man raids. When you complete all the raids, all the killing stuff, all you have with the game is casual stuff like pazaak, pod racing, RP'ing etc. I truly believe SWTOR forgot the fundamental element that makes a MMO fun. The joy of casual stuff. Noone should compare the vanilla WoW with SWTOR and let us remember that SWTOR is released on a market that also has WoW with 7 years of development and we are going to compare the end-game content ( NOT THE BUGS, they will be fixed, must be fixed in time ) of WoW Cataclysm and SWTOR. After 6 months of development we're going to see if SWTOR can compete with WoW in MMO market. Then we can also compare the quality of the gameplay itself ( THE BUGS ). Since SWTOR lacks the originality i(!) looked for in an MMO, i'm very excited about the Dynamic world events in Guild Wars 2. We'll see what its like at this weekend beta.
  22. About Diablo 3; D3 will succeed but the community loyal to this game should not change with it. Most of my friends are just going to throw their money at their screens blindly thinking that: "ITS THE GAME AFTER DIABLO2" About SWTOR; This game seem's to be doing pretty well considering its only 3 months old. It got a spike of new players, bored players left the game and the player base who are loyal to the game is creating a community, keeping the game alive. Now with the weekend passes ( i also think its a bad sign for our game ) BioWare wants to collect the scrappers as WoW is losing subscribers. However, there are some servers that are really low population wise and a merge might be necessary to keep them alive.
  23. Dear Bioware, new legacy class unlocks are wrong, wrong and wrong. Miraluka Sith Warrior ? Pureblood Sith Jedi Knight? I'm pretty sure some other person made a thread about it but i want to emphasize... I don't even want to talk about Imperial Agents using force choke, i'll just ignore that part and continue playing my game. Please think about this, i truly fear that you are damaging the Star Wars lore. Sincerely, just a casual Star Wars fan.
  24. I'll try not to give any spoilers. Mass Effect 3 ending is pretty much the same with colours changing, no matter what choices you make in game. For once, i have to agree with the fans and such an ending is a blasphemy for all the hours we've spent on previous mass effect games. SWTOR however have created 8 different stories for 8 different classes. Ending doesn't give you major changes with your choices and its linear but 8 different stories. SWTOR is good enough story wise. Of course class stories vary, i personally hate the jedi knight story but love the jedi consular story. Its the MMO part thats annoying and even that magnificent story aspect of the game can't hide all the grinding. That's an entirely different problem and there is no need to apoligize for that. Of course i expect an apology for giving us an entirely different game from what they've shown before the game is released but that is personal. I just hate the fact that my favorite game is very familiar to a well known formula that exists within the genre.
