A node someone doesn't want people to be able to map will be set to not respond, a node that is really busy drops ping requests, etc. It could be a firewall, too, that is set to not respond to ping requests. Kernel_Cinders Posted October 20, 2017 Share Posted October 20, 2017 I live in Northern California and play on BC. My lowest ping is 17ms. Fluctuates a bit but rarely over 25ms. However, on East Coast servers it's usually a 100+ms average. Hopefully my ping average will remain under 40ms after the server mergers . . . I've tried everything ppl are saying on threads, but neither them or me could fix that, so its not our PC problem. Hope they fix that when merges happens. The best way to check if it’s your ISP Get a program called Ping Plotter (its free). Follow Icy’s instructions on how to get the server IP.
