  1. Returning to Class Story Planets (that don't have strongholds) Require 1- Airlock 2-Spacestation 3-Base 4- finally -the planet For those of us that completed the class mission it would be sublime to be able to spawn on the planet surface like the newer made planets in the game. If that requires a future stronghold I'll certainly be the first to purchase it. Or just make a simple spawn point randomly on the map. Hint: The game should easily be able to do this much like a guilds flagship can pick bases it wants on planets it's attacking that week.
  2. I highly highly recommend re-downloading the game on Steam. All my minor issues with updating the game ended the moment I took the extra time out to get the game in my Steam Library.
  3. Others: The ENTER button can not be used to initiate research in the filter section of the “Who” tab. Not seeing anyone is like playing an RPG. I totally get the necessity for a "legacy ignore" but to go to the extreme of having everyday people not being able to see who's in game is isolating to the extreme and game breaking for many social people trying to find one another on various worlds.
  4. So now all the planets and places you go show up as empty? No names on the list unless you've friended them? Can't even find people in game anymore. The people I find are people usually adding their alts to the guild. Since this is impossible unless we somehow can appear in the same location through a 3rd party app either way that's way way too tedious. Or I'll just assume the entire game has me on legacy ignore including the people logging in for the first time.
  5. Here's another observation: Most all of us have seen alt ghosts in our strongholds usually without clothing. Some sort of bleed through between player instances. Just recently I'm seeing bleed throughs on the planets in the form of already killed mobs laying there as the unkilled mobs are standing in their footprint.
  6. Yes. For me it's a longer delay loading into planets. I'm well aware some are longer than others the longest for me being Hoth but now I notice a delay regardless of map/planet size..
  7. Before there were youtube voice narrative how to's there were Wordpress Blog style step by step screen capture guides and Dulfy was the place to go. I've ran into Dulfy over the years in game and she/he had unparalleled enthusiasm for SWTOR. I know there are other 'Content Creators' but the attention Dulfy gave to the game was staggering. Weird that she went offline the same month that the "Content Creator" program was started: http://www.swtor.com/blog/welcome-content-creator-program
  8. Chris, Now that you've tapped into the 'Legacy' feature of a acct/character. Any chance you can do what other MMO's like ESO does and have guild membership based on legacy instead of alt by alt by alt by alt by alt by alt by alt by alt basis?
  9. Long Answer: I've recruited for my guild since 2013'ish and all I can say is that the people back then seemed ex-Wow raider types and had a fervor for Operations of all difficulty levels. They were very chatty people and there was a lot of camaraderie on VOIP (ventrillo, teamspeak, mumble, and now discord). Fast forward the people I recruit are here for the story. Because SWTOR doesn't let you repeat the main story like other MMO's those people abandon their toons to play the story on another one (because SWTOR doesn't have legacy based guild membership like other MMO's) guilds serve as a storage facility for dead alts. Clear them out to make room for more every 30 days. Short Answer: Long ago it was all about group content but these days it seems people are mainly here for the story.
  10. 183/191 At first it was a zero and then a couple of weeks later it synced, maybe when I bought more play time. Although I don't put in the hours I once did from around 2012 to 2016 I was pretty hardcore in SWTOR. I was really relieved to see Bioware Austin put the game on Steam. Because of Steam traffic, I'm seeing tons of new players that never played the game before join our guild. I'll admit I'm sorta jealous at someone playing the story on their first alt for the first time.
  11. At first it didn't show any for me and then a few days later it synced. Since I had to redownload the Steam version of SWTOR I went ahead and deleted the older version. My question for you is: do you have two versions of the game on your pc?
  12. Unpopular Opinion..... I've preferred GSF over the land game ever since it was launched. I loved X-Wing for PC back in the day (1993?) so this looks fantastic especially since it looks to take place in the most exciting time in SW timeline Rogue One. Crazy that I just watched that movie today after not seeing it since the theater.
  13. With so many new Alliance companions obtainable it would be great to see some available to purchase in the cartel market. Paxton, Nico, Yuun, Hemdil Tre, Arcann, Koth, Lana, Theron, Z0-0M, K'krohl, just to name a few
  14. A year or so ago it became prudent to play on Star Forge if it was the most people you were looking for. Before that last round of mergers it was Harbinger and although my memory is foggy before that might have been Fatman.
  15. YES!! We are one step closer to having Pazaak! And that awesome music:
  16. I sorta totally get where you are coming from Stradlin. Old Yesteryear Conquest: was comprised of Guildies that used to run Story/HM Ops and now go kill Battle masters and check instances on different planets for World Bosses. Other members would run groups of 16 through whatever Op had the Weekly Bonus. Alts would be used to run missions and farm mats on various planets. For some this was 20+ hour week of swtor'ing. Midterm Conquest: Grind FP's, PVP, and GSF were the year in between then and now. These activities allowed you to get to know the communities/peeps that frequented those modes. If you had all your strongholds unlocked and did a little crafting a weekly would let you hit goal. An hour every other day or 2/4 hours a week. These Days Conquest: log on and do a few odd tasks like decorate or give gift to companion and you are done for the week (50k). No need to bother with grouping of any kind. Less than 30 minutes for the week
  17. After years of being both puzzled and flummoxed at the lack of SWTOR devs updating vendors I have no expectations. Kind of sad because F2P games like Destiny really draw a crowd in we a new Exotic weapon, Title, Armor, & Mount. But what they really really do that brings people in is they limit the shelf life of an item meaning you don't know if they'll ever be back in a years time or not.
  18. This seems to be where the game is definitely headed and these new conquest low achievement awards "This is the Way". Nothing wrong with that.... However, long ago the whole idea of guilds/ships/conquest was to bring people together for activities. Years ago when conquest was new we would actually go in groups of 20 or more to protect/kill battlemasters on places like Tatooine. Or, we would scout out world bosses in different phases. As our guild shrank we would run flashpoints to kill certain bosses at different choke points...MMO's were the last places to do these kinds of things....but alas "That is no longer the way".
  19. Are you by chance talking about the orange shell armor/weapons we used to find on vendors going back to first or second year of the game? I particularly recall a low level pvp vendor on Dromund Kaas which some exist in pvp area on fleet when last checked or for example the leveling vendors you would accrue currency and amass enough to purchase by the time you got to planets like Belsavis which had some of the cooler looking class specific/weight specific items.
  20. I have a sniper that hasn't been to Taris since 2014'ish. I was looking for the party instigator wall (not the bomb). It got me looking at other vendor items I recalled seeing on different planets like the Wampa Skin outfit from the social vendor on Hoth or the Jungle Treek customization on Yavin and the ??? they once sold on Illum. My Question is: Would vendor refreshes get you to revisit places/planets and spend more time in the game? Especially if there was rep currency involved in obtaining them?
  21. You are 10000% on the right about Operations being intended for max level. Retrospectively in guilds it was the promise of activities with your character past the story. They along with other activities were a kind of reward basket you got for getting to the very end. Flashpoints like Lost Island were reserved for higher level/better geared players. Fast forward to now and we have conquest guilds farming the npc's in front of Karagaas Palace.
  22. Legacy Unlocks in collections but not all at one time.
  23. I was in that same situation. Finally found it on an alt I used on a seldom used server that was merged after the DvL event. My suggestion is to go to every server you have alts and summon HK-51 and I might be mistaken but 55 as well just to be sure.
  24. These kinds of threads have two kinds of posters: 1) Defenders of the game 2) Those that agree but list their own gripes All I can say is I've been in both camps. I will tell you this. It is a refreshingly nostalgic game to return to after a long hiatus. So I'll say I respect your opinion and hope to see you again one day.
