  1. I hope the "...and more" includes the Snowstorm Assault Speeder!
  2. What do you consider "a reasonable amount of time"? Just asking, because I've seen a lot of different answers to this.
  3. Slightly bummed out that we'll be stuck a bit longer with the time-gated gearing system and vastly overpriced mats on the GTN. Other than that, it's all good.
  4. In which case he'd still be more helpful than he was in destroying Valky's last Empire. Seriously...a kill option for Scourge is a must.
  5. Could someone please briefly explain, or link to a thread that explains why Ops passes are no longer available? I can understand wanting Ops available as an incentive for subscribers. Yet, those were helpful for filling a spot in a progression raid and at the same time getting a new player hooked.
  6. It's okay. As the Jedi Masters said in KOTOR 2 when they returned to the Enclave, "It is not as it was; But perhaps that is for the best." The little glimpses into the state of the Alliance and the Empire were nice touches. They seemed to move the story forward more than the planet itself. I don't mind a "side-quest" plot line in between major story updates, like the Czerka stuff on CZ-198 or the Dread Master conclusion on Oricon. It just has to be compelling, or at least entertaining enough to stand on its own.
  7. Ohhh, we've got one of the overpricing sellers stalking me from thread to thread? Nice try, but it's closer to 5 months and that's not a long time at all, and no, the grind is officially no longer necessary. You CAN do it, but we aren't in the same position of waiting an as-yet-unknown period for it to be made obsolete. Again, misrepresenting the point. I never *told* anyone they *couldn't* do anything...I went out of my way to say as much. I'm just pointing out it's silly from a market perspective to constantly re-list anything that way...and there's a BIG difference you don't seem to understand between "Hey, I'll list X at a crazy price in case someone misclicks and buys it," and "Hey, this is worth a bajillion credits! Awesome, I'm gonna sell it!"
  8. Charles did say they're building up to increasingly important "saboteur" activity...because c'mon, you JUST defected. Asking you to blow up buses full of Padawans (or Sith apprentices) right away would be a wasted opportunity for your allies.
  9. With the official announcement that 258s will be obsolete come September, one would have expected a sharp drop in their price. So far, no such luck. That's not a complaint, by the way---I definitely won't be buying them now either way. It's just perplexing how people would be that stubborn when they could've cut their prices in half and still made hundreds of millions. Maybe they'll get tens of thousands now, selling that gear to vendors.
  10. Not to mention who Valkorion is. If there was anything left of those ghosts, he *definitely* either obliterates or suppresses them in his own attempt to control you.
  11. Yeah, at the very least there should be a cutoff point for desertion with some sort of penalty. If you're going to sit through a loss for 14 minutes, it makes absolutely no sense to "ragequit" at the last moment only to have someone backfill in your place. When you can stay for 30 seconds and actually get rewards out of it, there's no good reason to leave, and all it does is screw over whoever's waiting in the queue.
  12. What roll de-sync? I haven't seen any roll de-sync. Holotraverse, on the other hand... FYI, holotraverse de-sync is even more annoying for those *playing as* Operatives than for those playing against them.
  13. This. Ever since we found out Taris would be in SWTOR, I'd been waiting to see the fate of the Outcasts.
  14. I'd rally my Alliance to start a rebellion on Coruscant against the Senate, seizing the assets of that corrupt institution and putting them in the hands of the people (or possibly a puppet government ) ! Also: I would've Shae Vizla as one of my dark side Jedi characters, for her crimes against the Order (and general irritating attitude). It's like the Skadge thing...doesn't entirely make sense to accept her as a companion after killing arguably stronger people for less.
  15. Not every Imperial condones slavery. Some pubs & their allies either condone (at least one notable Senator) or actually practice (Hutts, gangsters, megacorporations) slavery. The idea that it's confined to one side is misguided. If the Republic were some benevolent regime, the Empire wouldn't be able to fill its ranks with the "dregs" of its rimward systems. The first Bane novel goes into this, as well. Many on the Imperial side fully recognize the Sith as generally evil, but as a necessary evil to counter the Jedi. Of course, the Sith have their own ideas for the direction of the Empire, which the "average citizens" tend to get dragged into...but the Empire itself could be seen as a malleable alternative to the Republic (heck, even self-declared anarchists work with them just to undermine the Republic's authority).
  16. This.. While *strictly speaking they aren't mandatory*, in practice, 258s make a noticeable difference in PvP performance, ranked or otherwise.
  17. Will they, though? Logically, you'd expect an item being listed "above market value" to drop in price if it's not being sold...but when there's a virtual monopoly on certain items or mats, they just keep getting re-listed at exorbitant prices in the hopes someone will accidentally click. For things like 258 mats, nobody's stopping you from doing that, but a mat with a limited window of relevance may as well be sold for what it can rake in while still relevant. Instead, they're being re-listed every few days for months, and neither sold nor used. If players with billions from credit exploits are able to buy high-end gear, well...I'm fairly sure BioWare said something at some point about cracking down on those who use such exploits, and with endgame gear being craftable this should be a priority. What gets me is when people say "100 million is nothing". Yeah, if you've been sitting on a pile of credits for years without spending it on anything, and if you buy/re-sell Cartel Market items, it's not as much of a dent, but it's something. Without exploits, it took you either plenty of time or some real money.
  18. A single Forgotten mat...ONE...not enough to craft a damn thing, is being sold for 250 mil. That is complete garbage from people who'd rather list stuff at trollishly high prices and refuse to budge than sell anything. It's a higher price than the gear crafted with those mats itself, which makes no sense. When you list something for sale on the GTN, there's a default price that comes up under "Your buyout price". Sellers should be locked to those prices, at least for gear-crafting mats that give a noticeable advantage in ranked or unranked PvP.
  19. Not really. Sure, the ELO system could use some work, but saying "kill yourself" serves absolutely no purpose, and it doesn't take effort to avoid it. It's your responsibility to not be toxic, whether that means silence or constructive criticism...and it's the responsibility of whoever's being criticized to learn and improve. If someone's not receptive to such criticism, then the frustration's understandable, of course...but that's rare. Unless you're dealing with people deliberately throwing, it stands to reason that they'd be open to advice on how to do better.
  20. I just started seeing a similar problem. A guildie had that issue yesterday, and now I'm getting stuck on the loading screen (into the game, from the character selection screen). It doesn't appear to be a patching issue...and my connection is fine. EDIT: Well, it seems fine now, after about 20 minutes. Hm.
  21. I made it to the server selection screen, but it's stuck in "Quick Play Mode" as if a patch is still downloading and won't let me log into any of my characters.
  22. Thanks Keith! Regarding PvP changes, are there any plans in the works to address the problem of revolving door warzones? Allowing people to see what they're queued for in advance may help...but I think the solution goes beyond that.
  23. Scourge would "team up" with the Consular, wait for an opening, and stab him/her in the back, then serve Vaylin. It's just how that piece of Sith has always operated.
  24. This. I'm sure there will be a dark-side option to kill him regardless.
