IC: I think we should all have a drink to refresh ourselves for these important negotiations. Especially the Voss seem very heated. I think it would be good for all of us to take a short break to calm down.

IC: No drinks are necessary. Besides we've only just begun. If the Voss seem "heated" that would probably because they were threatened with extinction and forced into practical enslavement. We need to lay everything out openly before any break is thought of.

I for one would prefer to not decide over the fate of a planet with a dry throat.

Some small drinks and snacks are being served mostly typical Voss/Gormak food.

Still waiting for the Gormak's reply Sil.

OOC: They have basically just been watching, though do you have a protocol droid nearby?

(Gormak) "We serve Ayan, corruptions have no right to question! He gave victory over Voss, if we would let them live. We did so, against ancestors wishes. Gormak as a people are not responsible for actions of few."

OOC: I'd like to point out for the OK's sake that the Voss pretty much treated the Gormak as animals, slaughtered them when they felt like it, encouraged off-worlders to do so as well, clouded off-worlder's view of their predicament without giving the Gormak a chance to interact with the outside galaxy, and have routinely sabotaged any Gormak attempt to leave the planet despite their obvious desire (and skill) to do so. All this was done under the very flimsy argument of "the Mystics said bad stuff would happen if we didn't!"... Considering the Gormak and Mandalorians both are very skeptical of the force, the Voss will have a hard time justifying the way they treated the Gormak here... Not that the Gi would care or anything...

OOC: Not sure how accurate it is, but on the Wiki it is stated that the Gormak were the only known species before the Voss stopped an Imperial Conquest of the world. If they wanted, they could of sat back and watched the fire works. However, among their prophecy's is that the last of the Gormak MUST NOT DIE. While they fight the Gormak, attempts to strike too deeply are discouraged and for the most part the Voss play it quite defensively. That, and the Gormak are said to view all outsiders as enemies any ways, the fact that outsiders talked to the Voss and not them just made them hate outsiders even more. Do also keep in mind the Gormak out number the Voss by hundreds of thousands, if not millions, and that the Gormak have constantly been trying to take Voss-ka. It is no surprise that the Voss take every chance they can get.

OOC: Eh, but when an elitist minority puts down a common majority based on the idea that the majority is "uncivilized" and does so for countless generation on the words of religious leaders who also essentially run their government... Their morality argument is kinda bashed to pieces. It'd be like the French Monarchy getting pissy about the French Revolution, put the majority down for long enough and...

Of course we can see why the Empire would be willing to help them...

Also Note: Gormak live in shabby, run down caves and tents. The Voss have cities and temples...

OOC:Who needs proper housing when you have XXXL artillery to take you some proper housing for free. You have to make work easier for yourself and the Gormak knows this Why build something when you can let the weaker Voss build it for you and then you can just take it.See how that works sil.

OOC: No, because the XXXL Artillery reduces those homes you aim to take to rubble. :( Heck, if they just built a shield generator and got some good bedding, they could make a comfortable, open air, dry, and star lit home. Shields >>>>> Rain

Well Sil the threat of violence is more scary then actually violence. That's what the XXXL Artillery are for and destroying Voss commandos. You have a good point for the shield generator. Why better

"And in giving Voss-Ka to the Gormak the Ordo Kote opened the door to atrocities. Voss-Ka was taken from the Voss and given into Gormak hands. Their one city compared to the Gormak's many, ripped from their grasp. The Voss never wanted to annihilate the Gormak, yet the Gormak have taken any opportunity they get to try and wipe them out, even those who have reached the stars.

Listen to their rhetoric: the Voss are corruption. Does that sound like they could coexist peacefully in any manner? Surely not. That is why the Inquisition is here. We want to help change perceptions and bring a lasting peace, not use our species's bias as a bid for power."

OOC: In other words, as indicated all over Voss through quests, lore, and such... Gormak are the vast majority and the Voss a minority that are being constantly assaulted by the Majority. Sounds a wee bit too much like RL, wouldn't you say?!

OOC: There absence of data is exactly the data I need in this case.

"And why is that? What lets you think the Voss are corruption?

The evil would seek to destroy everything but the Voss seek no conflict, they merely defend."

OOC: some possible explanations for the conflict: we know that Voss and Gormak once were one species. Apparently Gormak were the original species, while the Voss developed from the Gormaks who chose to learn using the force from the Jedi.

1.Perhaps the force-using Gormaks (Voss) originally intended to rule the Gormaks and the proud Gormaks were so infuriated by this that they decided to eliminate the Voss.

2. The Gormak perhaps view the force itself as evil, because the Sith once enslaved Voss.

3. Maybe they were just afraid of the rapid mutations that transformed the force-users.

Btw, it would probably be helpful to have a Jedi attend the negotiations. Perhaps s/he could find out about the dark side presence on Voss.

Went through and caught up on the links for the OP. So for those of you struggling to wade through all of those posts to find the specific ones with the data on the events, or the start of them... Rejoice!

IC: And what do you plan to do exactly?

Given the state of affairs on Voss the only conclusion is that peace must be gained by separation. The Gormak and Voss share this world, but their long war has made it so that living together peacefully is next to impossible. In order to give both sides peace we plan to separate the world into two zone, Voss and Gormak, with peacekeeping forces stationed on the borders. Hopefully the IRA will contribute some soldiers to help. All heavy weaponry will be handed over to those forces to make sure that war will not resume. As well they will pass judgment on those accused of war crimes providing a bias free means of justice.
