JumperPenn
So basically you are eating up your healers ehps, but you think you're helping by "topping people off"? Trust me no raid has even been saved by your painfully week kolto missle. Two instance is far better, because you can actually save yourself if you get in trouble in a raid, which is much more helpful. Also you don't have to target yourself to heal yourself. If you target an enemy and heal it automatically hits you without you have to switch targets at all. Never said I saved a raid I said I was helping when I wasn't required to dps, like soa when you drop down the platforms.
Max_Killjoy
Based on the previews, I guess I should get off here, and go play the game in it's current pre-suck incarnation. And for anyone thinking about it, you can stop telling me that I'm worried about nothing. I wasn't worried about nothing before these previews came out, and I'm not worried about nothing now. Too bad they didn't detail the changes before SoR was on pre-order. Huh, I wonder why they'd wait until well after...? wainot-keel
I haven't read the entire thread so most likely someone already asked about this. Mando Kolto Bomb will hit 8 targets. What about its cost, cooldown and HoTs (with Kolto pads) ? I kinda see Kolto Bomb as the "signature" heal for mando/merc and I personally wouldn't change it at all. Wondering how it will be in 3.0 with the changes...
Max_Killjoy
Related question: Does anyone actually use Sweeping Blasters? If not, isn't Blazing Barrels pretty much the definition of filler/trash skills, only now completely unavoidable in the build?

Standard high dps aoe (Commando not Merc, sorry): Pre-cast plasma grenade, mortar volley, sticky grenade, pulse cannon, hail of bolts... there are times you can get that deep into the priority, best to be sure you have ammo / heat management abilities available though. Blazing Barrels is part of their overall attempt to give improved aoe functionality to the specs that may have been lacking it. It's similar to Grenadiership from the Vanguard Tactic's discipline. With all the heat reduction built into the rotation now the additional cost won't change it's priority in healing rotations at all. Never said I saved a raid I said I was helping when I wasn't required to dps, like soa when you drop down the platforms. Actually you did say it saved you and your companions many times, so I naturally assumed you meant your raid group. Sorry. Even in that specific example, you'd be more helpful with bringing yourself up 18% than 4 people up to 5%. I'm just throwing numbers out I'm sure the percentages aren't exactly that, but similar. Arsenal Mercs already had Death from Above and Fusion Missile, and while they both have cooldowns, they also have the CC-effect on trash mobs. WisTexOfficial
Am I understanding this correctly. If I pick Gunnery or Assault Specialist, I lost my ability to heal? What if I want to destroy stuff AND heal, like I can now?
WisTexOfficial
ALl the changes except for a few on all the classes and global .. To me seem just to be catering to the PVP crowd...Maybe im wrong but watching all the vids on twitch it all just seems to be set up for the loudest group True. I do not participate in PVP and all these changes are making me consider unsubscribing. Why should I pay Bioware money when they only care about PVP players, and don't care about the rest of us. You know you can easily switch between disciplines to see how the other ones work.
