Love the Bag System. Let's Take it to the Next Level, BW:

In the spirit of your PvP system, I would ask for you to forward this little suggestion onto your bosses and payroll director.

Rather than be paid at a steady, hourly rate or a fixed salary, at the end of every day, you are given a nice Bioware fanny pack. When you open it, there's a 1 and 10 chance your paycheck is in there. If it's not there, there's 3 food stamps. Once you collect 30 of them, you can trade them in for the same paycheck a gas station attendant makes.

Does this sound like a payroll system that's going to keep you coming back to work?

OMG.....Best thread ever. Please do one so they know we need offical server forums for communications

Hypothetical here: let's say you earn a bag and you earn an item in that bag.... today I earned 16 bags (weeklys and dailies plus traded in warzone comms)...

You now take something that was designed to take a month of play or so to earn all full champion gear and now you have it all in ONE DAY...

So what do you do? you make it much more expensive to earn a bag... lets say 10 times more expensive to compensate for the rates at which you can earn them. Now it takes 2000 warzone coms and 2000 merc coms. It now takes you a month to earn all the champion parts at a rate of about 1 every 3 days days assuming you pvp every day.

What is the difference? I would rather have the excitement and a chance at getting gear out of the 5 plus boxes I open a day rather than the 2 I would open every week.

Then go throw away all of your money at a casino. There's a reason normal, well adjusted people don't like to gamble.

The OP is funny but they need some form of RNG as it makes opening bags feel less grindy. If every bag had a flat rate of commendations, it would feel very very monotonous. The idea behind the current system is that you keep obtaining bags in the hope that the NEXT ONE will have that amazing item you want, and when you obtain it, it feels that much more rewarding. Example, imagine if all the blocks in Mario had a single gold coin inside all of them, it would make it rather predictable and dull.

However, the system needs work. Here's what I'd probably want to see changed:

Each bag has:

1 minimum - 5 maximum Champion commendations

1 minimum - 5 maximum Centurion commendations or a 15% chance of a Champion Token.

That way, it still has the "I wonder what's inside" feeling where you hope to get the maximum amount of commendations, and perhaps even a lucky token, but if you don't get the maximum amount, you're still making decent progress. Some sort of system where it can detect a bad streak of luck and reward you with a piece you don't have yet would be nice too.

Also, alternatively (or in addition) perhaps they could make it so the PvP vendor sold flat Cent/Champ commendations rather than bags. So after doing your dailies and getting bugger all, you could take solace in the fact you'll get at least a couple of commendations from all those Warzones you just played.

Full agreement with OP. The bag system is a total failure and a logical flaw by itself. If it were the other way around, it would've been at least remotely acceptable. So either you get a token of centurion gear and 1 champ medal, or 3 champ medals.
