  1. You cannot activate both relics at the same time.
  2. That's intended for sure as one of the purposes of Diversion is getting snipers/gunslingers out of cover. On the cover while rooted thing: I agree, Crouch (aka Cover in Place) should still be possible while rooted.
  3. Get a group member to taxi you there. EDIT: How did you manage to get that broke? EDIT 2: Or sell something that is worth ~200 credits. EDIT 3: Do a low level flashpoint...
  4. Trust us, this is very likely going to change when you hit the 50s bracket as Hutball is the warzone we're least efficient (unless left alone). EDIT: But you're right... Playing a sniper is fun (and there aren't that many around, which makes us special) EDIT 2: You might want to give engineering another chance or take a deeper look.
  5. Read that tooltipp again... It's not 100% mitigation. It's "100% chance to dodge melee and ranged attacks". I'm positive that it doesn't work on tech or force attacks.
  6. Try using her more as a distraction to keep the mobs busy and less as a tank. At the early levels I used to send her in going after the strongest mob in the group and start firing at the weaker ones and kill the strongest last. At about mid-30, this tactic didn't work for me anymore, as Kaliyo got killed while I still was busy killing the weaker mobs. From then on, I sent her to a weaker one and concentrated my fire on the strong. The thing is, that mob usually died before it reached me and Kaliyo had enough health left for me to pick the weaker ones, one by one. It doesn't work for elites though - there send her at the elite... Usually she'll die when the elite has about 20% health left, but that amount is easy doable solo. Or switch to Lokin and do it all yourself
  7. PvE: Matrix Cube + Columi Relic of Forbidden Secrets PvP: Champion Relic of Forbidden Secrets + Relic of Forbidden Secrets While you cannot use both at the same time, they are on (somewhat) different cooldowns. While you use one, both will be on CD but the used one will have 2 min and the other just 30 sec, therefore it results in shorter downtimes for bursting phases, which can be quite handy in PvP battles. And I haven't got any BM or Rakata yet.
  8. Athiss should be the flashpoint you're looking for. And you probably can solo that one already. http://www.torhead.com/item/dR0ABQr/athiss-deadeyes-exterminator EDIT: But to be honest, it doesn't look good while on a speeder
  9. I'm pretty sure the Plasma Probe (from the engineer spec) stays as well. Ok, one could clasify that as DoT but it's stationary (like Oribital Strike) and not applied to an enemy (debuff) like most of our DoTs.
  10. Is Orbital Strike supposed to stop immediatly when I die, even after I successfully cast it?
  11. One of the Voidstar doors has a "cannot see target" bug and even the probe won't hit then, but I guess, that is another story.
  12. I haven't experienced this myself, but jumping of a ledge usually fixes this - which kind of kills the purpose of using those lifts.
  13. So, you're implying: You need to be a pro sniper/gunslinger to beat bad/average players of any other class. Somehow this doesn't feel like what is intended. What happens if you meet a pro in their class?
  14. You get them as a drop from nightmare operations (i think Eternity Vault) or daily commendations from a vendor in Ilum.
  15. Again paraphrased: "Have you ever been to Nar Shaddaa? I could show you around, have a drink, browse the organ market. It'll be fun..." - Kaliyo
  16. Paraphrasing (and put in spoiler tags, as it's almost at the end of the IA story) and depends on a choice you make immediatly before:
  17. Lethality is widely regarded as our pvp spec (and it has it's uses in pve as well) - but once your enemies learn to dispell your poison dots (which won't happen until the later levels (like 40+)) you're kinda screwed. MM is solid all the way, but you need to keep your distance or your dead, which is not easy in pvp situations (especially battle grounds). I'm not sure how levelling as an engineer is, though.
  18. The impact of the grenade itself is aoe (i.e. the initial damage dealt), the applied poison dot is not - that is my take on it. EDIT: It might get applied to multiple (max 3) targets simultanously (therefore could be considered an aoe) but the poison in itself does no aoe damage (it simply damages it's target, whereever he moves and won't affect anyone around him).
  19. That happened to me in Huttball as well. The bad thing: The game "thinks" you're in cover (therefore can't take cover again) all the while (even when moving) but you cannot use any of your cover-only skills. Someone knocking you back usually helps.
  20. Which would make perfect sense in what the skill describes it does. It increases the damage of our aoe damage skills - but the poison dot is not an aoe in itself (if applied to a target, it only affects this target and all within like 5m of him).
  21. Bug is known. It can even happen with Ambush or any other skill only usable in cover - Cover Pulse comes to mind (mainly in pvp). Crouch being faster than Take Cover does depend on various factors (UI delay, your char rolling into place (with a few thinking seconds to find the shortest way) instead of just kneeling down, use of keybind vs. use of quickslot etc.) - but that is being looked upon, too.
  22. My cover bar looks (almost) the same as my normal bar. Actually, I could just deactivate it in the preferences and wouldn't note the difference.
  23. You're really dogde-y I'd like that kind of defense for PvP...
