So my understanding is that SI recently underwent some modifications (read: nerfs), specifically assassins... Is the information posted here being updated accordingly? Just want to know if this article is still relevant to use in choosing whether or not to roll a SI... Thanks!!

Sorry if this has already been asked, but I couldn't find anything after searching... Is there ANY way to change the Forum Colors? I have to keep my font size relatively small, so the not so bright "whitish" text on the extremely dark background makes for some considerable eye strain when reading for any extended period. If there's a way to change this, could somebody let me know? Otherwise, Bioware, EA, whomever are the forum GODS, please give us the ability to do so... THXXX

Looking forward to trying out the next companion... Would it be worth scrounging some creds and purchasing orange gear and/or mods off the gtn? I know she's a bounty hunter but should I gear her for tank or dps? BTW thanks for your reply.

Sorry if there's a post that already addresses this, but I swear I searched before posting.... It is just me or does Kaliyo turn into a complete creampuff around lvl 24? I just reached cl27 and have had to stop after every mob that involved anything more serious than 1 "strong" opponent. Even groups of normal opponents, if there are more than 3, she takes some serious damage. Forget ELITES, she gets wiped out and I'm left to clean up while trying to keep from getting capped myself. I suppose the best way to cure this is to make sure she is well equipped. However, I have only limited funds, and though I've done my share of flashpoints, etc. I haven't any spare orange gear I can mod for her. I guess I'm just wondering if Kaliyo is specced to only be useful up to a certain level, combat wise, and then I should look to my other companions to pick up the slack. However, at cl27, I only have Kaliyo and the droid, who apparently is doubly useless in combat. Any suggestions?

Sorry, wasn't sure what forum to put this in, so seeing as it seems like a NOOBish type questions... I see alot of people suggest "Kiting" in certain combat situations.... I know the gyst of what kiting is... I think. My understanding is that kiting is running around your target (I assume so it is harder for them to hit you). MY problem is that from a practical standpoint, I'm not sure how to actually DO this! When I use the "A" and "D" keys to move sideways, that works, but then I'm no longer pointed at my target. Therefore, any attempts I make to "kite" my target MAY wind up in reducing the number of hits they land on me, but make ME landing hits on THEM entirely impossible. So I'm wondering if I'm using the wrong technique, if I'm using the wrong keys, or what? Maybe it's just sheer ineptitude on my part. But I've run into a number of bosses where "kiting" is the recommended method for getting past them. I just can't make it happen, and wind up having to find someone to help me defeat the boss. Hoping to find some suggestions here about what I'm doing wrong, and how I might improve. Thanks in advance for your advice....

Sorry, but reading the dark blue background with the mid-gray text for long periods really gives me a doozy of a headache. And unfortunately, due to the complexity of this game, a LOT of forum reading is necessary (if not for anything else other than entertainment value). PLEASE allow customization of the colors and/or font sizes!! Me EYYYYYYEESS!!!

So what you're saying is that no one orange item is better than another, its all about the modifications that are added to the item? Just clarifying... Thanks!!

I think that's the entire point. In other MMO's (namely SWG) the BEST gear came from crafters, not from a whacky system of earning commendations to eventually trade in on the best gear. If you can't CRAFT the best gear, crafting itself is essentially worthless. You mention "make stuff for those who are leveling"... but I don't feel like making stuff for people who are just eventually going to realize they can buy stuff just as good if not better than what you are making, is actually dishonest. Basically, your last phrase "crafting for crafting's sake" is REALLY the only function of crafting in this game. As someone who developed crafting skills, and learned to craft the best items in other games, it is kind of a slap in the face to offer a crafting system in this game which is in effect a zero sum gain.

Sorry, Hon. Lucas wrote SOME of 4.... that's IT. 5 and 6 were only screenplays with novel adaptations by other writers. The only reason 5 was good was because Kirschner was a genius and new how to direct actors and scenes in a way that audiences could identify with the character and be drawn in to the story. Even 6 was a "prequel to the prequels" bad acting, almost no story arc, a hurried and stale ending, and F-ing EWOKS for chrissake! 1, 2, and 3 were all hype and glitz, with no story, no characters with any depth, and a complete betrayal of the history established in the first 3 movies. OF COURSE they were about MONEY, they certainly weren't about creating "modern mythology" like Lucas used to describe ANH... He obviously only had a small idea and had to have others to expand... Too bad he didn't choose people who actually cared about the story, the characters, the mythology; just, as you said, money and marketing (which is actually also money).

Those videos are absolutely brilliant! I always wondered WHY I thought the movies were crap, other than the gaping inconsistencies, the bad acting, the COMPLETE reliance on CG.... There was actually NO STORY ARC! Okay the story arc is this... there's a little boy who has powers, grows up, gets mad and becomes a bad guy. But there is absolutely NO DEPTH to the "story" just a bunch of dialogue and explosions... oh and fancy lightsabers EVERY-F-ING-WHERE!! At least in the original trilogy being a Jedi MEANT something. In the prequels, everybody and their f-ing grandma was a Jedi, unless they were a Sith or JarJar Binks! ***!?!? Sorry, if you think the prequels were good movies, you are going to have a hard time surviving in the adult world... That is, unless, you believe that the gub-ment should hand you everything you need and want... Empire Strikes Back was the BORINGEST? Oh boy you really do have jello for brains!!
