  1. PvE gear is much better for raids than PvP gear. My Rakata gear has like 40 more str and endurance than my Champ gear. The expertise is completely lost in PvE.
  2. It isnt jsut spamming. one time I literally stood there clicking my hotkey for about 15 seconds without the ability going off. After that I started mouse-clicking it nice adn slow. it was at least another 15 seconds before the ability worked.
  3. They could make savaage kicka knockback. The animation is ******, why waste it. I just mean that, instead of 2 useless abilities, it would be nice to have more utility.
  4. Huttball is definitely not where marauders shine. Every other class has tools that take advantage of the environment FAR better than we are able to. the problem is that, on my server at least, 85% of all pvp matches we play are huttball because of the disparity in faction populations.
  5. Terrible idea. Cloak of Pain is amazing. Especially if you spec to make retaliation reduce teh CD. The only problem is that retaliation does not always seem to come upa nd can burn rage that is better used on other abilities. I would rather they change the talents that make retaliation reduce drop the CD to just making those talents reduce the CD by 15 seconds without using retaliation.
  6. Tool the damage on Savage Kick down and make it a 3-second stun or knockdown. It would make a HUGE difference for us in PvP utility and it would clear up teh fact taht we have TWO abilities taht are completely useless at level 50. I would love it if savage kick only did about 400 damage but did a 3-second knockdown.

  8. Marauder's problems are in PvP, not PvE. I ran hardmode EV and in teh fight where everyone has to kill their own boss I was always the first one to kill my boss, even if i fought the tank or the boss with the most HP. Bloodthirst was also the only reason my group beat the enrages on 2 bosses. Marauders are fine in PvE. We lack PvP tools.
  9. You are right. There is nothing wrong with marauders in PVE. I just did EV hard mode for the first time this week and I basically made the difference in the group progressing because of bloodthirst/predation. Additionally, there is a boss fight where every single player has to DPS down an individual boss and no one can help any of the others. I could kill the tank boss or the marauder bosses with the highest health before anybody else could kill their bosses. I was dishing out the most damage during the fight by a healthy margin. This is likely because, like others have said, we can just keep dishing it out, we cant run out of force or build up too much heat. Our problems lie in PvP and our lack of tools there. Bloodthirst is awesome, but in pvp a 5 minute CD on that ability means you will get to use it for about a total of 30 seconds per pvp match. We need a hard stun or a knockback at least.
  10. I play carnage adn I am generally very good at burning down single targets in pvp. That being said, healers can be tough, because even with the 20% healing reduction from deadly throw, they can cast a heal that takes as long as one GCD to cast and it will bring them up about 4-5k health. It makes them insanely hard to kill. You can interrupt one heal but then your interrupt is on CD for 6 seconds. The thing that makes healers so hard for us is the lack of ANY real cc. If we even had one 3-second stun it would redress that disparity. I honestly think that they should tool down the damage on Savage Kick to like 400-500 and make it a stun or a knockdown. We don't need two abilities that are useless at level 50.
  11. Except that for rage Smash IS the money skill of the class. It is where all the real power comes from.
  12. They are talking about PvP dude. Smash and Force scream do not stun in PvP. And Force Choke is not a true stun, it is channeled. A true stun allows you to either stun the enemy and attack them or run away, or dance if that's what you want. Marauder is the only class that lacks any of the tools the other classes all have.
  13. These just shows up how little you actually must know about the class despite all your elitist claims to be one of the few who can play it right. Pommel Strike and Savage Kick are great for leveling. At 50 they are useless garbage. You can't stun, slow or immobilize champions in operations and you can't use them in PvP. Their usefulness at 50 is almost nil.
  14. Actually, I would even love it if Savage Kick were a 20m knockback. A knockback would look GREAT with the savage kick animation, it would get us another force charge, and give us a knockback for huttball.
  15. Look, we already have Pommel Strike as a high damage, useless in PvP ability. We don't need two abilities that do high damage to stunned/slowed targets but dont work in pvp or in Operations (because champion npc's cant eb stunned or slowed either). We suffer from lack of stun/knockback/pull. Tool down teh damage on Savage kick and make it a stun that lasts 3-4 seconds and works in pvp. That would be a great chagne that would help us out a lot.
  16. Assassins are absolutely, 100% completely fine in end game pvp, and they have more utility than marauders. My buddy pvps in teh tank spec for assassins and he still does decent damage but lasts forever.
  17. I PvP as Carnage and i Don't put up damage numbers as high as rage because I am not constantly critting Smash on multiple targets. I don't, however, have any problem with Rage Marauders 1v1.
  18. I used Vette up until around 35 and it was fine, but after that I had to make the switch to Quinn. I leveled as Carnage. didn't have any problems getting to 50 and completing the story.
  19. I am Carnage and get ravage inerrupted fairly often but otehr times i just chews through people. When i tried rage, Ravage was more worthless, because even though you couldn't be interrupted, without the root they just walk out of it and you are stuck waving your lightsabers in teh air like a kid with glowsticks at a rave.
  20. well lets talk teh group buffs. Bloodthirst is a 5 min cd for a 15 sec boost. Thats stupid. Predation is good, but it doesn't compensate all those other things. The 15% movement speed boost in carnage is good, but when every otehr class has a ranged snare and a ranged stun, it means a lot less. the multiple snares i don't even get. why spec into a 30% speed reduction with rupture when you can just use crippling slash for a 50% speed reduction as i recall. our trees lack synergy. Again, we are a good class, but we need tweaking for us to properly fill the role we are meant to fill.
  21. Yeah they have their own problems. the main thing that I don't get is this: Why do we have the least amount of tools? like no stuns, knockbacks, just the one 2 minute CD breakfree? Other classes all have them, and sorcerers can still heal some, even if primarily specced lighting or madness. Mercs can still heal some even if specced more into dps. Juggs and assassins can put points into tank trees for survivability and they get that stuff. We are fine at damage. But we are still squishier than we ought to be and we still lack tools that we should have.
  22. And today I was fighting some geared up 50s. I hate to say this but I think we are a little underpowered against people who are equally geared.
  23. Don't get me wrong. we are still broken in a few ways. We should do as much damage as Snipers do, but we don't. they burst way harder. They have way more ways to get out of stuns/snares than us. They get a knockback. They also wear medium armor. And they can do ranged damage. They are also the only other class that can only do dps and not any other role. We should do as much damage, but we don't come close.
  24. It is definitely the highest skill cap class. No other class has to watch their rage management and lacks a solid rotation like we do and no other class has to keep using so many abilities. Marauder quickbars are insane. You literally use almost every single ability you ever get. The learning curve for marauders is steep.
