  1. Some sort of tracker or even a "romanced" label in the companion list would be nice. I've stood there about to lock in a romance with Theron and my game goes "Are you sure? It will end your previous relationship", prompting me to go "With... whooo? No idea, guess we're dumping 'it'" I think you get that prompt regardless but it can be confusing when you've taken a break, or haven't played that alt in ages.
  2. New year, new expansion, same old debate. People had these complaints during KOTFE/ET too. "Not enough story", "That was too short", "Those cutscenes don't even deserve being called an update on story!" yet they all were, in fact, story. The fact they were short, a one-minute conversation, doesn't mean they weren't part of the story. It may have been unsatisfying, a huge disappointment, but that doesn't mean it wasn't story content. There is a history of Story taking a backseat as oftentimes, BW cannot manage to push out new content for multiple aspects of the game in one update. So PvP, crafting overhaul, whatever is going to take precedent at times. Right now even more so due to the obvious and understandable situation with COVID complicating VA work. So they may as well work on the aspects they CAN update in the meantime. It happens, it has happened, it will continue to happen. I love Story, it's my sole reason for playing, but I've accepted that I gotta deal with long waits, sometimes worse than in other moments, and just make the most of what the game currently offers. Roll another Knight. No point getting worked up, trying to say that cookie wasn't a cookie just because it tasted bad, and so on.
  3. Fantasy bubble time? Off the top of my head, rework the original class arcs to include SG romances. Go back to a model of different stories per class, even through expansions/DLC. I'd fix SoR to have more involvement for certain companions who have lore connections to Revan and the Emperor. Try to work out a system that allows for genuine defecting to the opposing faction, and the first to get to do so through gameplay would be the IA at the end of their class story. Improve and add customization options, add dye buckets that you can unlock after purchasing a dye once. Reality though... take it for what it is and try to find enjoyment with what we've got.
  4. Older women and mothers can still be attractive, doesn't make them any less dateable. Besides, age and aging works differently in SW, and other companions are quite a bit older too. I think Quinn is well into his forties when the SW meets him, Doc has some years on him, Scourge is 300+ years old due to circumstances and Khem Val even older. There does seem to be a trend of certain male romances being older so why not add an older woman/mom type as an option? She's not for me, I enjoy her model but her attitude irks me beyond belief, but others should get the chance.
  5. Completely misread this as "Tenebrae's lust weapon" and kinda approve.
  6. Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate! May you enjoy your turkey as much as Chewie enjoyed his Porgs.
  7. Clearly all SWTOR men are as anatomically impaired as a Ken doll.
  8. Karrid died with the Ascendant Spear mess (Annihilation novel) and Lord Cytharat is dead/alive depending on choices during Makeb. Awol for those who kept him alive.
  9. "I started playing a Bioware game known for its story and cutscenes but now that I'm playing, they should get rid of so many cutscenes and give me different content." Sorry mate. If you're looking for typical hours/days long of questing to the new level cap before tackling endgame group content for your shiny new gear, you're playing the wrong game. This isn't a traditional MMO and Bioware's size and resources aren't on par with other companies so yes, it's smaller in size. I'll give you the crafting issues though.
  10. Yes. I'm not sure which other options influence this (if any other) but I can say for a fact that, during Onslaught, once you're in the end stage of the Corellia/Meridian FP where you've fought Tau/Malgus and the platform crumbles, and you rush to disable/fix shields... if you do NOT take the saboteur option in that moment you'll end up reprimanded by your opposing-faction-contact. When that happens you can pick to end your sab role and become a loyalist again, and when you go to Nar Shaddaa later to meet that contact, you can confirm ending your sab role again either in a nice way or by offing your contact.
  11. A lot of people know only the movies and while the Fetts have always been hyped (for some reason, I wasn't that blown away by them), there isn't a whole lot else known about Bounty Hunters/Mandos unless you delve into other material. And not every Star Wars fan devours every source of material there is. I liked Boba Fett but I wasn't fangirling him, Bounty Hunters, or Mandos when I watched the movies. My interest grew as I started playing this game and watched Rebels. I don't think it's jumping on the bandwagon so much as it is that people now have very easy and obvious access to a far more detailed view at the Mando culture than they did before and that's what's garnering increased interest.
  12. Well, first of... I enjoy Anri as a character and I love her VA. The only thing I cannot understand is why she would put her life on the line for the Empire. Sure, they've made a bit of progress over the years but with what she's been through and as a former slave, I find it odd she'd be so loyal and fight on their side. On the other hand, I admire her for making the best of her situation and fighting for a better future, naive as it may be. Tau and Arn are a complex pair. I do see the wisdom in them helping each other heal but at the same time, it's a gamble. I'm not a fan of their models, though. Something about them feels off and I get that, as a man who's mostly cyborg parts, Arn is supposed to look unconventional but something about it just doesn't quite work. Tau... I dunno. I almost feel they were trying to go for a Brienne of Tarth type deal (big, tall, tough-looking Knight woman who has a softer, kind and insecure side as well) but just missed the mark. It doesn't work. I do sympathize more with Arn's story than Tau's. On Ossus, she tells you what she went through on Corellia in the past and while I understand it's meant to come across as impactful, it just made me laugh and roll my eyes. Especially the line of the Sith that jumped aboard the transport with "a red lightsaber... in each hand". I get that's supposed to be a frightful thing but come on. Describe how he had no face, only a mask of bones and a black void where his eyes should be or something but really, a Sith with red lightsabers? Yeah, horrifying, no one's ever seen or heard of that before. And while that's just one line, it did get me stuck thinking of her as mostly a joke. I still struggle to take her serious or consider her a worthy Jedi. Anyway, I did do all I could to help them both and support their Master/Padawan relationship. We'll see where that goes. If anything, they're worth having around solely for the sake of Lana's little teases.
  13. My Smuggler took all [sabotage] options, save for the end in the Meridian complex where she chose the non-sab option after fighting Malgus. She kept the shields in tact. NR02 called, expressed disappointment, I chose to end my sab-role in that conversation. Moved on to speak with the General and new Chancellor Rans, told them I'd rather be independent, then all the cutscenes ended and I got my mission to meet NR02 on Nar-Shaddaa where he treated me as a friend, said nothing of my failure, I had no option to re-affirm my choice to end my saboteur role, if anything they sucked me in deeper so...
  14. Perhaps something like that can be worked into the complexion options but I wouldn't want it as a default. The new, hyper-realistic faces like Arn's do not appeal to me at all and if they were going to add that much, increased detail to my character's face, I'd want more control so I can get it to my exact liking. Kinda wish we had Sims-like sliders though. Also so I can blow up my bewbs so much they'd knock the fleet out of the sky.
  15. Nah, fan fiction works far better than any magazine. Of course, there are bigger priorities and I'd choose new and continued interaction with our existing LIs over adding new flavors any day of the week. Doesn't mean we can't debate future options though and talk about how cool it would be if.
  16. I see your point there but then I'm also reminded of Kira who always struck me as more mature than the two you mention--Nadia and Jaesa. She was a kid born in the Empire, who fled, and spent many years living on the streets. She was more experienced with life and more mature than your average, sheltered Padawan. It still took her all these years to understand herself and her feelings fully, to realize and accept she's into women as well. I don't think she's all that much younger than Cytharat either by the time he enters the story. I'd say there is room to play with his story and make him available to all players, especially since we know so little of him otherwise and so many years have passed. Besides, while he only reacts to male players, I don't recall him or anything ever stating he has no interest in women which does leave room for opportunity. Oh for sure. I only meant that with his re-introduction at this point in time, it would have made little sense if he'd been available for romance by all classes. Going forward, I have no doubt he could fall for anyone. I'd love to hook him up with a Sith Warrior.
  17. If it does, that's fine by me. I'd be happy with my tomato patch and never get any work done.
  18. There have been so many posts and threads about this subject, and Cytharat, over the years that it would be nice if it finally bore fruit. I'd also hope they'd make Cyth player-sexual. His Republic counterpart, Lamda, was player-sexual and I always found it odd that Cytharat wasn't, making Makeb on my female Imperials just slightly disappointing. Just strikes me as a strange decision. With the rise of Malgus, and killable characters still having a role to play for those who've kept them alive, I'd say the time is right to bring Lord Cytharat back into the fold. Give him the same flavor that Kira and others received to turn him player-sexual, I'm all for it. I do think it makes sense that Lord Scourge isn't for all classes. His romance is heavily based on history, his own and with the PC, and only makes sense for the Knight in that respect. I don't mind that some romances are limited to class only but I do think we need to get rid of the gender restrictions. Of course, if I had my way, then we'd get Lord Praven as a PS romance option for Republic characters, and Lord Cytharat as a PS romance option for Imperials because you can never have too much Pureblood loving to go around. ETA: Also, while I very much support a Arn romance for those interested in him, I'd much rather first see romances established for old favorites who've been requested frequently over the past several years.
  19. This. ^ I didn't like spying on my people, even if it's the smarter choice, but I'm glad I did for those tiny little nuggets of information we were given.
  20. This is the way. I'm so in love with this show, hot damn.
  21. I can only speak for myself here, though I am sure I'm not alone in this, but one of the most frustrating aspects is reporting bugs to 'deaf ears'. Here I'm not addressing the in-game bug reporting but those things reported in the Bug Reports section on these forums. It's quite aggravating to make a report of something and watch the thread sitting there, and sinking into the abyss, without ever getting an acknowledgment from the devs. Being left to wonder for days/weeks whether they've even seen it, whether the issue has been moved to some sort of 'to-do' list, or whether it escaped their notice entirely. Whether it's a bug at all or intended. Whether it's something on our end/our account or on their end. I don't expect Eric and Daniel to comb through each thread and leave a response, I get that they're busy, but even just keeping the "Onslaught Known Issues" thread updated once per day/48 hours would be a step in the right direction. As it stands, that thread currently lists a handful of acknowledged bugs discovered during the first few days of Onslaught but hasn't been updated since. The Bug Report section is filled with threads, scarce few with a yellow response, but most of it hasn't gotten a reaction nor has any of it been added to 'known issues'. Maybe there's a toss up between fixing the issue or acknowledging the issue but, personally, I'd like to know where I stand when I report something. Do I keep raising the issue because it seems no one took notice? Do I trust they've seen it and sit back hoping and waiting it'll be fixed, with the risk it did escape notice and will therefore take even longer to get fixed? Do I make another thread in case they didn't see the first one? It's not a great feeling and with extremely minor issues, fair enough, but when it comes to matters that genuinely impact game-play (be it gearing, loot, combat matters, or story elements) it is immensely frustrating when I'm left hanging. Anyway, posting this here in General because I'd like to know how others feel about the current system and if there could be any suggestions to improve communication in this department. Maybe even something as simple as a "Known Issues" sub-section within the Bug Reports section that any thread pertaining to genuine bugs, as seen by a Dev, can be moved to. So that we, as players, can see for ourselves that our report made it into the right hands without it requiring any further communication or hassling from either side.
