  1. Yes they can, if you mean Lamda Avasta or whatever her name was. She'll go for anything with a pulse, basically.
  2. Does it show up in collections and if so, what icons does it have? Do you have a screenshot? Did you try relogging?
  3. You're still missing the point. It shouldn't matter how strong or weak a person is socially. Not one person, no matter how weak or strong, should have to face up against such behavior in the first place. Yes, ideally. Now I know better too, I know life is hard and the real world is a champion at kicking you repeatedly while you're at your lowest already and in that aspect it's a far harsher place than 'the internet' but does that mean I can't hope for better? We just.. what? Sit back and watch as everything turns to potty because that's just the way it is and oh well why try to be better than that? Guess I'm a dreamer then, but a proud one at that. Being offended is a choice? So if some choice words hit a raw nerve with a person then that person is choosing to let it hit a nerve? If a racial slur gets tossed at someone and they're hurt by it then what, it's their own fault for choosing to be offended? Well if that's the case then we really don't have any true problems in this world at all do we? Just a bunch of people who choose to be offended, toss 'em a xanax and move on.
  4. The sad thing here, which is also a good thing, is that more and more internet laws are being approved and put into effect. Internet Safety laws, anti cyber bullying and cyber harassment laws and sure, for the moment those pertain to actual stalking, threats, circulating someone's private information and so forth. However, more and more people are starting to look for ways to tie actual consequences to someone's unconscionable online behavior. To make the anonymous genius who sits there calling everyone names and saying things such as "you should just hang yourself" because oh well they're just words and they've got freedom of speech, to make those people realize the severity of their actions. Parents of teenagers who've committed suicide looking for justice for their child are tired of hearing "well you need to raise your kid to be tougher and stronger than that, it's just words". It's been on the news plenty over the past few years and though those instances mostly took place on platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, MySpace even back in the day, it doesn't mean the problem isn't branching out. Yes this is a game but it's an MMO, there's a certain level of social interaction tied into the game. It's not the Sims where it's just you and your puppets doing your thing. And I know, these are severe examples of situations that haven't yet presented themselves in SWTOR but it's a slippery slope. Two years ago when I still actively played WoW, I was enjoying a good night of raiding fun until we started bashing our heads into the same progression boss we'd been stuck on for a while now. One of our tanks, a die-hard "I am superior and must achieve greatness in this game in order to feel better about myself as a person and give my life meaning" lost his cool, he lost it bad. He started yelling at one of our healers calling him worthless, a failure at everything in life, he didn't deserve to breathe and wake up in the mornings because he was so terribly fail and useless. Those type of rants? Not unheard of in MMO's. The healer guy logged off and we didn't see him for another week until in the middle of our next raid, he suddenly wanders into Vent. Except it wasn't him. It was his father yelling at our tank for the way his son had been bullied and harassed and verbally abused. Turns out, the 'kid' was bipolar and had a hard time socially interacting in his actual life, dealing with anxiety and depression but one of his few joys had been playing Warcraft with people who seemed to accept him the way he was. At least, until the tank had blown up at him after which the kid had attempted to end his life. Yes, I know it's a depressing story and one that many may not want to even read or acknowledge while others will foolishly chuckle and shrug, saying and thinking "well if he did that over what happened he shouldn't be online lol" which is, so so very wrong and so very weak minded of you. Is a person not allowed to enjoy the same game the rest of us enjoy because they aren't as washed up against abusive and bullying behavior as some others are? Does a person lose their right to being treated in a normal and respectful manner because they're more sensitive than you are? Because they're not as tough as you pretend to be you are? If there's an emergency or accident somewhere, do you just leave the wounded/crippled/old/too young behind because oh well, they're not as tough as you are and that's their problem? I mean this is a game, it's not even a life or death situation and it costs you nothing to treat another person respectfully no matter who they are. It's sad though.. incredibly sad that actual new laws have to be introduced to basically tell people "Hey, it's not okay for you to treat another human being in this manner online". People should already know it's not okay and just not do it. And hiding behind "it's just words lol, grow thicker skin, derp!".. THAT is real weakness and cowardice. I mean really, putting the responsibility of your own vile behavior with someone else? Sad. I know this was a long rant and not fully on par with the OPs original complaint but seeing the dozens of "oh well" reactions to this irks me. I guess I'm weak too.
  5. The fact that it's "just the internet" and "just a stranger" does by no means excuse rude and asinine behavior. If they're words you'd not dare hurl at a random stranger on the streets as they walk by then why do it on the internet? It seems like over the years as the internet's use has grown and more social media has come into play, people have become increasingly rude and immature. As if normal human values and social etiquette no longer matter because you're online and it's all just taking place on a big screen in front of you. And the people who dare to have a problem with that type of behavior? Just insult them further, tell them to grow a thicker skin, call them a snowflake, mock their concerns because everyone's supposed to just accept that nowadays it's normal to receive random and/or specifically targeted abuse online. To me, it's not normal and it's not okay. Do I curl up into a ball and weep when someone calls me names online? No, I know better than that and I am better than that but that doesn't make it an okay thing to happen. They may be just words on a screen but words nonetheless and they carry value and meaning whether they're said to your face or written down. They still have an impact, for some more so than for others. The sad thing is, there's usually no need for them at all. Whatever it is you're trying to convey with words of hatred and anger, by cussing, can often be said in a far more normal and acceptable way and tends to yield far better results too. I'll always be polite to a random stranger, always have been and I'll continue to do so and if they can't rise to my level, so be it, end of discussion. Sadly, ignore is still your only option really. This type of behavior will never go away unless the entire internet population suddenly decides to be more polite and civil in their communication which would take a miracle. All you can really do is rise above it, be the bigger and more mature person. Meet their cussing and insults with maturity if you can handle it and sure, 9 out of 10 people may continue to rage and insult and pretend to laugh you off but the 10th may think twice next time and realize there's a better way to do and say things. Anyhows, that's my 2 cents on the matter. As for official intervention from BW/EA/Blizzard and whichever dev team of the game you're playing.. don't expect much if any (and I don't fault them for it either); this is such a large scaled issue it's impossible for them to police it all and dish out bans and suspensions for every cuss word and insult that's flung someone's way.
  6. Thanks you both, that's helpful to know and a relief!!
  7. I know this set is from the older Gatekeepers pack and available on the GTN. Thing is, on my server I haven't seen the complete set being sold in a while. There's individual pieces like the chest, boots, pants but not the boxed up set. Now if I end up buying all these individual pieces to make a complete set, will I then still be able to unlock it in collections for all my toons to use or does that only work if you buy a boxed set? Also if anyone has any decent tips for earning credits or a guide to refer me to, I'd appreciate it.
  8. There's a lot of "Okay who farted?" looks like that in especially some of the newer cut scenes and there seems to be some clipping and weird looks but it's not much worse than the stoner smile in some older ones.
  9. Yeah Jonas and Jaxo were my favorite recurring NPCs for the Trooper story line although the situation they put us in with Jaxo.. not so cool. Blowing Jonas' 'joke' proposal off kinda blew too, I totally would have gone for it. Now seeing as we hear from him while working with Theron on the SoR stories.. maybe there's a small hope for the future.
  10. Just class stories alone won't get you there, not even close. Even with legacy +XP for Class Stories maxed out and XP boosters you'll still not be 50. That was really only possible when double XP was active over the holidays. You'll need to either sneak in the weekly +2 HEROIC quests per zone or do zone story arcs etc. as well.
  11. Senya is in my eyes a likely candidate for death although if she does die, I'd like it to be meaningful. Perhaps she dies as she takes down Vaylin, redeeming herself and her daughter in a final act. If Koth dies.. well shame but I don't 'feel' any strong ties to the character yet. Lana and Theron have been by my side since Manaan, through Rishi and Yavin 4 and the horrid destruction of Ziost. I feel connected to both. Saresh.. I'd love to see her finished. She has a puppet in place now but clearly still dictates things behind the scenes and I've always strongly disagreed with her behavior and attitude and some extremely poor poor choices. The death of any class companion should be a choice, not forced. There's certain companions I'll gladly get rid of, that I never wanted to have on my crew in the first place but there's others that I really feel are part of my character's 'family' that I'm eager to see again. My SW for example.. she'd love to have her little 'sister' Vette back but if she finally gets the chance to kill Quinn in the most painful way imaginable, I'd be so happy. No SW no matter how light or dark sided should have ever been forced to endure his betrayal in the first place and let him live. I have no yay or nay regarding Satele. I'd prefer to keep her around but if she ends up dying, so be it. In a weird way I actually care more about Darth Marr and I'd love to have him back as an ally, even on my Pub characters. It'll likely never ever happen but I thought he was quite wonderful and it's a shame we didn't get to interact with him more.
  12. As 'intrigued' as I am by the code and more so picking it apart for further discussion.. your post is a nightmare to read and I have no clue what it's purpose is.
  13. So, is there any chance my Trooper will ever reunite with Balkar somewhere? I always thought they had nice chemistry and was saddened that it never went beyond some casual flirts. She's on Rishi now and just got some mails from him about her work with Theron and something else, just seems like there could be something there if the writers were open to it. I know that thus far he's not in KotFE but I'd like to see him reappear in the future and perhaps a chance to progress their relationship.
  14. Yeah same here, CM purchases were failing too. Was in the middle of fancying up my SH. xD
  15. I'm kinda curious about all this myself. I mean, as it stands.. any husband my toons have, stop caring the moment I do Hutt Cartel, SoR and beyond. They stop everything all together minus the occasional 'approves/dissaproves' but even that's a rarity for anything beyond the first 3 class chapters. As it stands, I've just married whichever companion I could at the end of my class chapter, knowing it held little effect on the future. Except Quinn because hell nawh. That said, I do secretly hope that the old relationships you had will regain their relevance in upcoming KotFE chapters because it'll bring back an element of interaction that I truly miss. Even if that means some will want to divorce me now or that Theron will run off like "Wth you been married this whole time?".
  16. I have to say, I actually agree with a lot of this. I've leveled 4 different classes now from 0 to 65 throughout all the content and something just feels.. not quite the same. Gonna put some of my thoughts in the spoiler box just in case.
  17. Does it happen more often on planets like Taris, Alderaan, Belsavis, Balmorra, Voss? If so, it may be related to a common driver/w10 issue atm and you can work around it for the time being by setting your grass to 0. Helped me tons.
  18. I agree with most posts here, it's really rather annoying. Now on my melee fighters I didn't mind it too much, slightly aggravating but no biggie but on my MM Sniper it's incredibly annoying that you can't even get into cover and use your tough hitting abilities because you're spending your time getting flung around and stunned and having to constantly re position yourself so that the next push they throw at you won't knock you off the platform.
  19. I really wish they hadn't thrown that type of interaction away to be honest. One of the things that makes this game stand out for me is the different 'feel' of play per class and the interactions you have with people, it makes it really engaging and a lot more fun. Now say you've spent 50 levels romancing a follower, accepting their proposal in the end and then you move on to new content and they just don't care, it's kinda disappointing. I know they'll slowly be returning to you at some point during KotFE which is great but will those returns keep in theme with your 'past' with them? I know some remember you and come back with you but for me, during my leveling play, I've had really personal interactions with some of them. My Trooper married Aric, my Sith Warrior for all intends of purposes, her best friend is pretty much Vette.. it would be a shame if that 'history' is wiped out and you're basically mere and distant acquaintances by dialog upon reuniting. I know Bioware has it in them to keep things more personal, they were attentive enough to leave you a 'love note' from Theron at one point during the chapters if you've flirted with him in previous stories so they can definitely do it and I'm hoping they'll bring some more of that back in the future.
  20. This may be better off in bug report/tech issues. Anyhows; what exactly happens? You get through the launcher but the game crashes back to desktop? Do you get a blue screen? Try to give us a bit more information and first of all repair like someone said above. My game had been crashing and blue screening a lot lately in grassy zones (Taris, Alderaan, Balmorra, Belsavis, Voss), which I found out to be an extremely common issue since the latest windows/drivers updates. Temporary work around for that is setting your grass to 0 so if that's what you're experiencing, try that.
  21. I've recently started playing again and this time around I'm working hard on doing all 8 class stories because they're a lot of fun to me. Sure, same zones but your objectives and the reactions of locals are different each time which keeps it refreshing and entertaining. However I've noticed once Chapter 3 of your class stories is done and you head for Makeb, everything is the same as it is on your other classes. Your companions no longer really engage in the dialogs aside from the occasional approves/disapproves, they no longer have anything to say to you when you return to your ship. Quest givers and NPCs react pretty much the same no matter what class you play and it feels like that small personal touch that was there for the first 50 levels is just, gone. My Smuggler for instance spent her entire leveling experience flirting with Corso but also hitting on anyone and anything else she had the flirt option with because I thought his reactions were hilarious. However, one in Makeb and on Manaan and Rishi.. he stopped 'caring'. It feels like kind of a shame for that to end and I was wondering if there's any plans on bringing some of that class personalized interacting and such back at some point?
  22. Use your ship to fly to Zakuul. Once you're there, your log should allow you to either continue playing the chapter or to reset it but you need to be in the new zone for it so.
  23. I liked the packs but I do feel that current items available on the CM (including content pertaining to current stronghold boxes) should not also be in these packs. If anything I'd like to see sales like this more often. For new players, or returning ones, it's really hard/expensive obtaining some older armor looks. They're entirely depending on the 'greed' of others on the GTM. It would be nice if newer and returning folks would have an alternative/better chance at obtaining these older armor sets themselves without having to pay 15 mill credits.
  24. Just wanted to contribute that on my 2nd day of looking (gave up the first one, was too tired and unfocused from work), I found it within 40 mins in the middle area between the parallel roads where all the broken pillar chunks are, right by the back wall where the elite/gold star mob usually is.
